I was very impressed with my piercing experiencing this afternoon. I made an appointment for a jewelry change out after getting my initial piercings in the Seattle area a month ago. When I had them done in Seattle I really didn't know what I wanted. And the shop was not helpful. Just the opposite here. The folks at the front counter gave me several options for my change out. Sara(h) the piercer explained each step and gave me all the information I should have gotten initially at a different place. Friendly staff. Easy to book. Great selection. Go here! read more

Julia pierced my daughter's eyebrow and did my 2nd earlobe piercing. She was so kind and knowledgeable about the anatomy, I was 100% impressed. She let us both take our time and be totally sure about placement. We both are healing great and so happy with our piercings! Overall, the shop is also a fantastic spot. We interacted with several people and everyone was welcoming and patient. Much love to the vibe at Metro! read more

Omg absolutely love metro i believe it was Hannah that changed my bar for my nose the stud that got put in previously was not right and kept irritating my piercing they helped educate me on piercings they 1000% know what they are doing and are very helpful and everyone was so kind and the vibe was great, and my piercing has never been happier! read more

Professional, clean shop. They explain everything clearly and have fairly reasonable prices, given that it's a slightly nicer studio. Piercing quality has been good every time. But it's a very political atmosphere, with an obvious agenda. read more

They pierced me incorrectly. It's a floating belly button and it is crooked. They never took accountability. They told me that it was pierced properly when it is not. if I did not have the anatomy for a bellybutton piercing they did not tell me so. it's also pierced so close to the surface that it is almost ripped out multiple times read more

Rude, uptight, actually yelled at me. I strongly felt that they didn't want customers. I almost walked out while in the middle of a purchase because of the rudeness. Sold me the wrong gauge, so a waste of money. I have never been treated as badly as I was there. Will never go back. read more

I got my first lobes pierced by Julia and it was amazing! She was so friendly and took the time to make sure I was educated on what would be happening and the after care. I was also very happy with the service I received when I checked in with Heather. She took the time to show me a bunch of different jewelry and talk me through questions I had about what would work with my new piercing. She even went out of her way to write down different places to browse for jewelry that they could order for me. They had a wide array of jewelry in every price range and it was an overall great experience at a wonderful small business! I looking forward to more piercings in the future with Metro read more

I had a great experience here! The staff was very friendly, informative, and they made the whole process easy. The shop was very clean and you get your piercing done in a privet room. I got a septum piercing, Sarah did a fantastic job and talked me through the whole thing. They give out great care instructions and email you a copy as well. They have all the jewelry and aftercare supplies you'd need. I'll definitely come back! It's a good idea to make an appointment and plan ahead as they stay booked and busy here. read more

Glad I came here! Got a somewhat complicated cartilage piercing here a few months ago and it's healing nicely. Front counter staff were super nice and helpful and Dawn was a great piercer. She's very calming and explained everything thoroughly. She even called me the next day to recommend I come back in for a second look because she was thinking about something she noticed about my piercing and wanted to double check on it. It was very professional of her to take the initiative to spend the extra time and care when it would have been easy to just let it go. Definitely trust her with my piercing and healing. As for jewelry, they carry a lot of the cute and quality brands I like (BVLA, Junipurr etc). I will say the retail markup here is a lot higher than I'm used to. It'll probably keep me from shopping here just for fun, and they also charge for a jewelry change even if you buy it from them, which I'm also not used to, though maybe it's not uncommon. That being said, if I didn't want to wait for my next trip out of town, I wouldn't hesitate to pay more for initial jewelry in order to get the piercing from Dawn. Highly recommended! read more

Service received was Ear Piercing. Professional and clean. Excellent customer service. Would recommend.

Julia is super great!! She explained everything really well and thorough! I had a jewelry switch and she was super awesome helping me find what jewelry length is best for the healing stage my tragus is in! Highly recommend! This place is very clean, and all the staff was very helpful and kind! read more

Denied service based on a policy that is contrary to the website and then charged a "cancellation" fee. Avoid these thieves.

Would recommend this company over any other piercing place. All my piercings from them have healed so nicely, & the staff are all so kind and knowledgeable! read more

Went here on a whim one day after searching for shops to find a new nose ring and ended up getting two ear piercings (faux rook and helix)! Dawn was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, gave me several options for placement and helped debate on which was best, and was thorough in cleaning everything, showing me the tags from the earrings after they ran through the cleaner thing, etc. The whole place seemed very clean, and everyone was nice and helpful. You do need an appointment to get anything pierced right now, but their website makes that super easy to do! The reason for four stars is that it's pretty expensive - after tax and tip I was at $200 for each piercing which seems super steep. That being said, the jewelry is quality and you probably get what you pay for. Overall super happy and would recommend if you're in olympia looking for a place! read more

The photo without the piercing was my first time getting my Ashley (vermillion) pierced from this shop by Julia and it was not centered at all and it was crooked. I went back to get it removed and scheduled an appointment to have it redone. I waited a whole month for it to heal until I got it pierced again. Finally the day comes for Dawn to do my piercing and she centered it wonderfully with the stencil first. Then I get it pierced and now it's wayyyyy too low. You can see in the photo with the piercing that it doesn't even line up with the middle of my lip. They kept my jewelry from the first time I got it pierced with them and when I went in the second time they changed it without telling me until I got it pierced. DO NOT GO HERE if you want this piercing done. Especially since I went and got it done by two people is just sad. They were not that nice about it at all either. Don't waste your money. This shop is over priced and not worth it. read more

Brought my kid to get her ears pierced. She really wanted it but was terrified, Sarah was so incredibly patient with her. Explained everything she did and why, waited quietly as long as it took for my daughter to say she was ready before each ear. Didn't pressure her to hurry or act irritated even though I'm sure it put her behind. Made it a good experience. Also the place was clean, quiet, and had a nice selection. read more

This shop is so clean, inviting and has the kindest staff! I came here to take my grandma to get her ears pierced and they were so considerate. We loved the interior design plant selections! Def take a look around when you enter - there is some incredible plants there! Outside of a great selection of jewelry, they also have a wall of the cutest stockings! Lot of cute options from leg Avenue! After scheduling your appointment, be sure to double check you have you ID, as it is required to get service. read more

I just got my tragus pierced today by Julia - she is absolutely amazing! First my daughter went to her, I loved it so much that I went a couple weeks after her. Julia carefully explained the process to me, Her room was exceptionally clean and she made me feel extremely comfortable! Believe me when I say I barely felt a thing! No pain whatsoever, more of just a strange feeling. She has got to be the best piercer around. Thank you Julia for being so wonderful! read more

Wow, I love this place. Before today, I only had a first set of lobes pierced back when I was probably 7 or 8 so I was pretty nervous about getting my second set of lobes and helix pierced! I looked into other piercing shops in this area and decided on this one, and I am so happy I did. The inside was just remodeled and is impeccably clean and beautiful! I loved that they were enforcing that all individuals must wear masks and it shows that they take cleanliness seriously. The jewelry selection is amazing and the employee working was so nice. I loved these 14k gold studs but I think she saw my wallet crying for help. I decided on titanium studs which they were able to anodize to get to the gold color that I wanted :) The piercing itself was so fast and Dawn, who did my piercing, was swift and precise. With the 3 piercings, I was laying on the table for maybe 3 minutes? I'm not sure exactly but it all went by so quickly! She was attentive and explained everything to me so well. I can't wait to come back and add more to my ears! If you are looking to getting pierced, come here!! read more

From the moment I called them to get more information to booking on the website to calling again with questions (and emailing with more questions) to my appointment today, I could not be more pleased! Dan was incredibly patient and helpful in answering all of my questions (and putting me at ease as I was a bit nervous) and in helping pick out my nose stud. He also ordered the stud I'll switch to when I go in for my "downsizing," and I never once felt rushed. Julia, my piercer, was perfect. She was kind, reassuring, professional and also incredibly patient with my many, many questions. All in all, I couldn't say enough of this place--and highly recommend it. I'm going back for more piercings in a couple of months! Thank you so much, Julia and Dan! read more

I was so sure I had already reviewed Metro Body Piercing. many years ago I had a piercing done by another outfit in another town. it didn't go well, didn't last and I finally removed it. fast forward to about 2016 I found MBP when I felt the desire to get another piercing done. after looking the area over I found several good candidates and finally settled my mind on this place. here comes the good part, not only did the piercer do a great job but, she gave excellent care instructions and what to watch for in case something wasn't going right. I really wish I remembered her name. I had to go look the other reviews over to find out it was Dawn. she was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. anyhow, that first piercing she did went well, gave little to no issue while healing and I loved it. about a year and a half later I went back and had another piercing done. actually, she re-did that piercing gone bad from years ago. that one hurt a bit more.. I won't lie. not her fault though... again, excellent instructions for care during healing and the outcome was again quite good. some time later after both were completely healed up I developed a new problem. both piercings did the same thing at the same time. I called MBP up and got Dawn on the phone. she said come on in and she'd take a look. I had captured bead rings in both piercings and this was creating an issue. swapping to barbells was the answer. they had the right size and length on hand and she even switched the jewelry for me. she again stated to go back to those initial care instructions for a while and sure enough everything cleared up. here it is about 5 years later both are stable and perfect. if Dawn is still there I'd highly recommend this place. just in case she is, she's also part of the Association of Professional Piercers. read more

I was recommended to Metro BP by a friend and had a great experience. It was definitely worth the 2-hour drive! Julia made the experience very comfortable, walked me through getting my nipple piercings, and made the whole experience pleasant. The piercing itself didn't really hurt, but the aftercare and healing process were tender. I would definitely get piercings here again, 10 out of 10! Thank you, Julia, for making this experience so pleasant. I don't have any piercings besides my ears, which I've had since I was a child, so this was my first piercing as an adult at 30 years old. It was pretty painless and comfortable. Thank you, Julia! read more

Having had a couple bad healing experiences with piercings, I was really impressed with how thorough the new piercing care instructions were. My piercer Julia was very knowledgeable, calm, and professional, and the other staff I interacted with at the shop were all very warm and friendly. I personally thought the jewelry selection was great. While there weren't many inexpensive jewelry options, as a human with sensitive skin I know you get what you pay for when it comes to piercing jewelry! I found the pricing to be very transparent/clear, including the instructions regarding coming back to downsize posts and paying for the second set at that time. Would definitely recommend! read more

Thank you Metro for creating a place thats safe for every bodyabsolutely the best service, technicians and jewelry collection. expect to pay a little more as they are paying workers real wages, properly sanitizing, using barrier protection and the jewelry is real. I love the atmosphere, safety precautions and informative aftercare explanation process! Woman-owned, well-kept, and felt nice to be relaxed about the process after they answered my questions without judgement. this place is where I send everybody!! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They sold faulty jewelry and the best they could do to solve the issue was offer me 20 % off my next purchase. Absolute BS. I spent 550 dollars here and 240 dollars worth was faulty. read more

I love this shop. It is always very clean and welcoming, with the interior plants and incense. I always feel very comfortable going here. The staff and piercers are always very friendly and professional. The piercer Dawn is excellent and makes getting pierced a great experience. I never have any concerns about the safety or sterilization of the piercing. The piercing room is very clean. I love the selection of beautiful jewelry and the staff are very helpful. In past visits to the shop, I would have liked the total pricing of the piercing to be more clear, as other reviewers have stated. The price of the piercing does not include the cost of the initial jewelry, in addition to the titanium flat back which is around $35 or more for one piercing. However, the Metro's website has recently been updated to show the additional cost of the flat back jewelry. read more

I really enjoy coming to Metro. Dawn has done most if not all of my piercings over the last 8-10 years. She is a warm, safe and welcoming person with a super steady and precise hand. I have much less experience with Julia, but she is also extremely wonderful and creates a similar comfortable and inviting experience for the guest. I love stopping by and checking out their new jewelry pieces at the front or grabbing a fun new piercing with Dawn. Love, love, love metro! (: read more

UPDATED REVIEW (10/11/17): I have since come back to Metro for a tragus piercing as well as several jewelry changes. Staff remains excellent as ever and they have a wonderful jewelry selection. My only suggestion is that they should have a piercing punch card, like Inklife. That would make me commit to Metro as my sole piercer. ORIGINAL REVIEW: (9/24/16) I literally am writing this review as I walk out of Metro because I'm so happy with them. I feel awful that I don't remember their names, but the 2 women who helped me out were as kind as can be! The woman at the counter was very friendly and explained everything that I needed to know about the shop. Then, the piercer led me into the room, and she started to explain everything about the piercing itself. She made sure i knew how to take care of it, explained my options of changing jewelry in the future, and told me everything that she was doing as she was piercing my daith. The piercing area was very clean and safe. I felt very comfortable the whole time. Plus, the prices were amazing, and you're paying for jewelry, safety, and quality! I will definitely be returning soon. New favorite piercing shop read more

Brought my six year old daughter here for her first ever ear piercing for her birthday. As someone who had a bad piercing experience as a child (at an Icing with a gun) I wanted to be sure she had a better experience than I did. From the moment we walked in we had incredible service. They didn't just speak to me, they addressed my daughter and made sure she understood what she was consenting to. No one was pushy, everyone was delightful and she had a great experience. I would highly recommend anyone go here for themselves or their child. You're paying for quality in every aspect. So friendly, so clean, so chill. This is where you want to go, you won't regret it. read more

Julia pierced my right nostril tonight, and I have to admit I was scared! The gentleman at the front, Raymond, was welcoming and informative. He helped me understand the difference in the jewlery, and him having his septum and both nostrils helps you visualize how they would look. Julia was extremely informative and helpful. I went back to get my tragus and rook piercings downsized and Sarah was great. She talked me through the whole thing and made me feel comfortable even when my piercings were being difficult. Helpful, not a wide array of jewelry as I'd hoped, wanted to finally get my nose pierced and purchased the jewelry, come to find out if you buy the jewelry from their store and come back to get your piercing done - they won't do it. 100$ down the drain. (I get being safe and all but really..? I never wore it and still had the receipt and never took it out of the packaging. So I decided to go with some other ear jewelry to put in my already pierced ears and was told after all the wait that I wasn't gonna be able to purchase it because I had cash. Really? Have been in a few times for body jewelry and piercings, they never seem to have the jewelry I want and ordering items takes any where from 8 weeks to 5 months. Pros: clean, piercer is friendly and professional. Why I'm giving 3 stars. Cons: selection is lacking! Poor customer service, they don't seem to care I wanted to get a new piercing which they didn't have the size, and a change of two but walked out with nothing. Have been in Metro 3 times now and they have not had what I came in for. Guess I will try another shop. I will not shop here again. read more

They ask for so much information to get a simple piercing. They were asking me for an ID, not every minor has an ID I brought my birth certificate for a reason. They overcharge you for what you get. Used to be my go to place for all piercings. The piercers are informative, professional, and very courteous. Ever since their remodel, the jewelry prices are INSANE. I have always gone to Metro to get my piercings done and I have ALWAYS left satisfied! Dawn does a great job and does not rush the process at all. She always makes sure all of your questions are answered and walks you through every step of the process.
