I guess I am an outlier here but based on my experience, I do not recommend Precision Piercing. The owner knows his craft but his energy was terrible. He was rigid, aggressive, and belittled both me and my teenage daughter during our piercing session today. There are a lot of rules at this place. I am sure he has his reasons for them but some seem odd. We were told to back in to a certain space in his lot and wait to be waved in. Ok, fine. Then when walking in we were told not once but twice to wipe our feet. Ok, fine. As soon as we walked into the lobby, we were told to sit in specific chairs, twice, ok fine. He then began spewing out a ton of information. We tried to take it all in. He then asked my daughter if she wanted posts or hoops for her double piercing. She said posts for now but would be wearing hoops later after sports season. I then gave him the gift certificate I had purchased for my daughter to use for this session. He immediately said in an irritated and condescending voice, "did I not tell you to let me know when making an appointment to tell me if you were using a gift certificate"? I told him he had not and he said, "well, now I have to change things!" I have no idea what that change would be but I have never been told by any business that I have to tell them ahead of time I am using a gift certificate. Ok, fine. We then get called back to the piercing area. He told my daughter that he was going to mark her ears where he would pierce them and she could tell him if she wanted them moved. He placed the marks higher than she liked and politely told them so. He immediately became outwardly irritated with her. She said she would like to wear hoops in the second hole (meaning eventually as stated in the lobby) and he aggressively said, "well, why didn't you tell me that in the lobby when I asked!?". My daughter is 15. He kept belittling her, for no reason, so I stepped in and said, "this is her first time getting double piercings" hoping this would make him realize he was being unkind in his communication with her. He then remarked her ears. At this point had I not already purchased a gift certificate for her for Christmas, we would have left the business. He then pierced her ears and placed them very well. He used great sanitary procedures and explained them all VERY extensively. When we thought he was done as he was wiping down the countertop, we stood up, very ready to leave. He then told my daughter to sit back down, twice, so she could watch him clean the countertop. He asked her if she had any questions but at this time, we were both so nervous to ask him anything, that we stayed silent. He then tried to make small talk with us but we were done. He knows his craft. He is sanitary but his customer service absolutely sucks. He may have pierced people 1000 times in his career but this was a new experience for my daughter. He acts as if everyone should know exactly what he is talking about instead of offering customer service. I don't need my ass kissed but basic pleasantries and not being talked down to would be nice. Door was locked but sign said it was open, the owner proceeded to storm out and yell at everyone about how rude it is to "bang on the door while I'm with a client". The inside of Precision Piercing is impressively immaculate. Before entering he building you must wipe your feet several times before entering. The owner, Guy, is direct & kind, and the point but very kind and thorough. He is more sanitary than the doctor's office! I highly recommend his work! Both my oldest and I both got our ears pierced. Wow! Guy is just fantastic. Called for an appointment to get my 10-year-old daughter's ears pierced after reading through Yelp reviews for Precision and was immediately impressed. From the pre-appointment advice and instructions, to the initial meet and greet at the shop, and ultimately the procedure itself, everything was just great. You can tell cleanliness and sterilization is important to Guy, which was important to us as well, and I appreciated how he engaged my daughter (and me) in conversation and went over aftercare instructions while doing the piercings. Wouldn't recommend. While owner is technically good at piecing it seems and prices are inexpensive, the cleaning routine recommended is harmful to the healing process and his bed side manner is neutral at best. Owner talked like an audio book on 1.5 speed whole time narrating everything. Owner gave advice on using Antiseptic cleaning 3 times daily and moving jewelry. The cleaning recommendations are way out of line with what is generally recommended online and what the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) recommends which is saline twice daily and not moving jewelry. I found the owner's rapid talking overwhelming. Better to go to a more expensive shop that follows APP guidelines IMHO. read more

I took my 8 year to get her lobes pierced. What a wonderful, sterile, and professional experience. It was important that this time around, my daughter got her ears pierced by a professional piercer and I was not disappointed by Precision Piercing! Guy explained to my daughter the importance of aftercare, the importance of sterile equipment and environment. He was knowledgeable and direct, yet kind. He clearly takes his profession and health safety very seriously, and I appreciate that. He showed my daughter the sterile equipment and explained to her what each tool was used for. After the piercing he showed her the after safety protocols necessary to protect others who get pierced in the future. What I loved most of all is he spoke to her directly. This was her decision and he clearly wanted to make sure she was comfortable with continuing the process. The overall piercing for her was smooth. Minimal pain and he guided her through the process. Afterwards he gave her a piece of candy and a stuffed animal (she brought her own to hold, but if she didn't, a stuffed buddy was waiting to be held during the piercing). The best!! All Guy does is piercings- so he's a next-level expert. His decades of experience shows- he's so knowledgeable and professional. He even gives you candy at the end for your blood sugar. After care is so easy- he recommends a cheap first-aid spray that you can buy at any drug/grocery store. Soooo much easier (and apparently safer) than the salt water soaks a lot of other piercing shops suggest. Lastly, jewelry changes are free! Of course you tip, but still- so cool. So I pierced the other day from Guy (the owner). He was very respectable, kind and professional. We were talking and he told me that people tend yo usually leave reviews only when they've had bad experiences (this is in general). If they've have a good experience, they dont really take this time to review. He's completely correct about that. So I'm taking the time out of my day to write this review. I almost never write reviews because again, you dont really write reviews for good experiences, only bad reports. But I had an extremely great experience getting pierced. He did his work and did a great job. He also explained in great depth about everything his is doing and why. He followed good practices in guidelines with Covid. He took his time with marking and placement of the piercings and asked how I felt about that location (they were perfect locations). He showed me his practices of sterilization as well as him opening up and disposing of used equipments. He also showed me when he began to sterilize after piercing me. I knew he was as professional as it gets. He also gave me tips about cleaning and taking care of the piercings as well as gave me a pamphlet about it. All of this was extremely helpful. He also said to reach at any time (literally any time of the day/night) if I had any questions or concerns. I can tell he really takes care of his clients. Overall, i had a great experience getting pierced by Guy. Probably never getting another piercing again, but if I really ever do, I'm coming back here. I am very satisfied with my nose piercing. He went through all of the COVID check in requirements and explained his background in piercing as well as asking me what my previous experiences with piercing has been. We were the only two in there to help with social distancing and sanitized everything right in front of me and explained what he was doing every step of the way. I explained to him that I do get very lightheaded and could pass out upon piecing me and he made accommodations to help make me more comfortable, he has sugar drinks and snack for this reason as well!
