After a few weeks the owner of the shop and I ran into each other and I asked her if I may share my experience I had with one of her artists who did my tattoo. After we talked and I explained what happened she offered to correct my tattoo herself and not let the original artist work on me again. Then COVID happened. She reached out to me a few weeks ago and we started working on it and making it beautiful. She did AMAZING! was very careful on how it was placed and made sure everything was laid out correctly to cover the mistakes. (this does not regard to the tattoos. i did not get one so this is about the PIERCING option they offer.) I am absolutely in shock. Background: i have been wanting to get a daith piercing for a few months before hand, i was researching it and was wanting to get one really bad and i wanted to get it with my mom too. I looked up places that had a good review and came across this place. They only have one piercer, Kelly. They are a mostly come-in service and they do not need an appointment so I went in and my mom ultimately decided against getting one with me because they were just so expensive as we've looked at other cheaper options in Lacey. But I didnt want wait for the other cheaper option because they only take appointment and I would've rather paid more to not wait longer (which i don't regret) I came in her room, I asked her, do you think i have the right anatomy for this piercing? because with all the digging i did, everyone said as long as you have a licensed piercer confirm, then yes. But she didn't give me a clear answer other than "it's a little small but i think it's good" and marked me with her pen and proceeded to need to move it around twice because obviously I didn't have the right anatomy for it but i didn't know that then since i thought it was okay because she said it would work so i was thrilled and super excited. (not to mention she pieced me with a curved bar that was WAY too long to fit into my ear which caused irritation for me occasionally but i couldn't change it because it wasnt healed yet.) As per expected, obviously it hurt. And i have been taking care of it, keeping it clean spraying it with the saline solution in the morning and at night. I don't think it has hurt since the week i got it, after that I think it's been healing nicely since I never got any bumps or irritation from it. But today around 4 months ish later, with no signs (AGAIN, NO PAIN. like if i didn't see it FALL OUT of my ear, i wouldnt have known.) it came out and RIPPED my ear and which i have a hole. I will absolutely never be coming back here and will never recommend Kelly to anyone. Go to percision piercing if you really want it. (heard the owner is kinda weird but maybe you'll have better luck than what I got. Please check with other piercers and confirm you actually have the right anatomy before trusting them. Again, can't speak for the tattoos, but for the piercing situation, do not get it. I can't stress that enough. read more

I went here for a walk-in appointment in 2018 and was happy with my experience at the time! I thought the artist was professional and no flags in terms of sanitary and cleanliness of the shop. However, overtime my piece(supposed to be a 4 leaf clover)was so blown out and I recently got it covered! It looks like they have some talented artist but I highly recommend researching the artist work with HEALED pieces of their work and thinking methodically about your design if you choose to come here. I hope this advice helps to young adults wanting to get tattooed. I am thankful this piece was small and faded enough to get covered. I have since gotten the tattoo covered by a great artist! read more

I went to sorry mom wanting a simple tattoo so I went to the first shop that would take my friend and I in. We both had two different "artists" I got a small very simple little design and the dots were hollow, mis-shaped and obviously rushed/ overworked. my friend got a lower back tattoo that was supposed to be symmetrical but the tattoo was not symmetrical. The artist she kept asking me and her if it was straight like she couldn't tell ( it wasn't straight ). The whole prossess was odd and gave us weird vibes and the tattoo wasn't done the best. There was lack of shading and shaping so we went to another shop and they were in shock about how the tattoo (s) were done and had to fix both of them for us. read more

I decided to treat myself to a new tattoo to celebrate my 50th birthday. Keoni at Sorry Mom Ink in Olympia, Wa was amazing. He spent about 45 minutes freehand drawing the design directly on my arm. Then spent the next 3 hours bringing it to life. This is me second large tattoo done by Keoni. He is a true artist as are all the ink slingers at Sorry Mom Ink. I found Gina off a photo I found of a partial tattoo I wanted. I was visiting Washington from Arizona for the holidays. I first contacted her back in October with pictures of what I wanted and if she could do it. She said absolutely no problem. I was so excited to have her do my tattoo but as time kept going forward the communication was non-existence. So another month goes by I hear nothing from her. And another month. Then a week before my appointment was to happen she admits she lost the written down calendar and didn't remember the date we planned on nor the time. I said told her the date and the time she gave me, which was noon, and so she said to me "ok can you be here at 3?", I said "sure." The day before the appointment she admits that she doesn't even have a drawing done. I first talked her back in October! To me she should have had it done by then I mean I gave her 2 and a half months notice. She wanted to change it to be where I didn't come it at all and I said no it's fine I will be fine I will be there at 3. Come the day of the appointment I am getting ready to leave and I get a message saying one of her sessions ran late and asked if I could be there at 5. My dad lives in Shelton and I am at the mercy of his car. I asked my dad he told me he doesn't want me driving that late and being in the dark. Let me reiterate I am from Arizona. A very dry and warm state even in the winter. Washington is kind of cold and usually very wet. So my dad has good reasons as to why he didn't want me to take his car at night for a 45 minute drive there and get home about 5 hours later. When I told her this was a no go she simply said well that is the only time I can fit you. You would think that if someone was visiting from out of state who made this appointment more than 2 and half months in advanced she would do whatever she could to make that happen. Nope not all. So I said well I guess I will have to go somewhere else and I did. I give Gina 2 stars because she wasn't a mean person otherwise I would have. But she needs to learn the importance of following through with appointments. I understand things run late but 2 hours? That is a little ridiculous to be "running late". read more

Got some work done by Gina a few months ago and absolutely love it to this day, she is so talented. She's one of a kind and a great listener, she really cares about your design and you can tell by the effort she puts into it. The entire vibe of the shop is comfortable and welcoming. There's always people bustling in and out and getting ink, the other artists are also very welcoming and they really make you feel at home! The location is great, parking is close by and there's a ton of things near by. The recent renovations in the shop are so cute too, the new look makes it trendy and comfy. I'm sorry, but, don't go to this shop. Mother wouldn't be so very forgiving if she saw what kind of ink you got here. Can I give it less than a star? A negative? My first experience here on one of the Friday the 13th deals in 2017, the shop had a special of 13 dollar tattoos. The shop was completely busy and the line was out the door. When we finally made it in to sign up and leave our number to get called we got absolutely nothing! Not a text or a call to even tell us that they weren't able to let us in. At that time, we were just desperate and it was a "YOLO" moment for our group of friends to just go out and get a tattoo you know because f**k it right? One of those kinds of those things, we were willing to wait. Second time around, we thought you know, we could give it another try. So we did and I gave them a very SIMPLE design and no I'm not being over dramatic, it was so simple that I couldn't have done it myself!!! They completely ignored all of the minor details and it looked like a 5 year old drew it. Mind me, my drawing sucks too. If you really would've taken your time then it wouldn't have taken only 15 minutes to sketch. I understand that the shop is busy and that there is limited time in a day, but QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. If you valued that then people wouldn't mind how long you take because the tattoo would probably be bad*ss if you took the time! No, I'm not being a troll just to be mean on a review. And I get that I could have been nicer about this, but I believe in improvement. Sorry for being so mean. But I like it when people tell me I'm doing a sh*tty job as well so I can change it. I got my second tattoo done by the apprentice Arty and he was awesome. I got in within the timeframe I wanted and I was able to work with him on the budget I had for the tattoo. He had a soft hand and made sure to check in throughout the process to make sure I was doing okay. The outline was fine but when it came to do a certain color for the tattoo it turned out it was a kinda painful color for me to sit through. He was great about letting me readjust and letting me know how much longer he would be using that color. Kipp is the most professional, congenial, easy going tattoo artist I have ever had the pleasure of getting tattooed by. His line work is clean and clear, his art is unique and clever and his sense of color and style make for really dynamic art. Every tattoo I have gotten has healed quickly without any need for touch up. He was even able to cover up an old and extremely dark tattoo I had, leaving absolutely no trace of the original tattoo behind. Get your art done at this shop and check out Kipp's work. Gina did a great job on my first two tattoos. Unfortunately I will never go back.When I went back for my third and fourth tattoo from her it took her a total of 15 min to do both tattoos. I felt like she was a different person as far as how her work turned out. The first two tattoos turned out great and that's why I went back to her for my third and fourth tattoo. Huge mistake both look like a beginning tattoo artist did them they are both simple tattoos and I had one fixed but no one will touch the other one. Gina needs to treat every tattoo the same and take her time. Tattoos are permanent and on you for life. I am now looking for something to cover up the one I'm not happy with. If you want something with simple line work I wouldn't have her do it but she does amazing flowers. read more

Since writing my first review we have not heard back from Gina or Alyssa, until this past week when she sent me an email stating she was sending us a check for a full refund. Almost 7 months after she cancelled on us. We received the check. She then sent me this message on Yelp : "You also forgot to mention your contract was a NON REFUNDABLE contract. However we didn't feel it was okay to keep $925 due to the sever weather storm. Many vendors canceled events that day. Safety first." We find it in poor taste for her to try and use the "non refundable" excuse as to why she chose not to refund us 7 months ago. We had a few vendors who could not make the event due to weather and they all gave us a full refund. When she cancelled on us, she said she would send us a full refund and continued to promise us a refund for months. You can not say "oh well it's non refundable" when you cancel/no show on a customer. Their actions after that clearly showed she was doing everything she could to avoid refunding us our money. In the end, we are glad we received a refund and the money can go back towards the nonprofit we support. Lesson learned, do your due diligence when hiring vendors, and ask for references. read more

It's taken me a lot to actually bring myself to write this review because I don't believe in tearing down businesses just because I can, but this truely was the worst experience I've had with any tattoo artist. Gina is so very nice but she left me with a horrible mess of a very important tattoo to me. She even "touched it up" but it didn't look any better than what I was first left with. Also, they are so rude to customers that give bad reviews which is wholly unprofessional. My husband gave them a bad review because we sat in their shop for an hour waiting for them to show up and when they did show up the girl Alyssa literally talked crap to my husband the entire time because he left a 1 star review on their Facebook... Totally unprofessional and she hinted at the fact that it was brave of him to write the review before tattooing me as if they were going to give me a crap tattoo on purpose. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I have since gone to another artist and fixed the tattoo she left me with and I am now very happy with it. I have now got to Gina for two of my tattoos. One was a sister piece that my younger sister and I got and the other is a beautiful thigh piece that i have been wanting for a very long time. The studio is small but quiet, allows you to relax and talk or watch tv. She puts lots of love and care into her work and makes sure that everyone she works on leaves happy and in love with their art. Alyssa the office manager is also great, they had a last minute cancellation and posted the open immediately so I was able to get started on my tattoo sooner. Not only does this shop focus on tattoos but they also give back to the community. They take donations of food, clothes, shoes, etc and pass it out to the homeless. In hopes to give back in one way they love their city and want to show that in art and care. Overall an amazing shop glad they were able to open and serve the community in many ways. read more
