Took my not so people friendly dog there because I needed a place to board him while on a weekend vacation. Metro Animals was one of the only places that were okay with taking in dogs that weren't exactly people friendly. I appreciate that they let us do a free trial day to see if he would be a good fit, which thankfully he was. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with Duke. He has even warmed up to a few of the staff members. Most of the employees seem to have an understanding of dog behaviors and how to work with them. I would definitely recommend them 10/10 read more

i found this place by chance when we had to go out of town last year and I love it, more importantly....my boy loves it and every one who works there!!! he is always super excited to go there, i like that they are so good with him and they are all so sweet and nice and you can tell that they love the puppies, i am will always bring my baby here, as long as i have him. read more

My labradoodle puppy loves coming here. She practically jumps over me to get out of the car when we arrive. She scratches the door to get in if she has to wait more than a minute. I would say that's a good sign about how she feels. Love how tired she is after a few hours. I take her for 3/4 hours at a time & it is so reasonably priced. She has been coming here for a few months now. The grooming service down the street is good too. Happy I found them. There are closer places however this is the one I feel comfortable bringing her. Only wish there was more grass or something softer than concrete, sometimes he comes home with split or really rough nails. We boarded our dog at Metro Animals near Horne and Camp Bowie while we took a family vacation this week. When we arrived to drop off our dog, they told me we didn't have a reservation there, despite the fact that she'd done her orientation there two weeks prior and we booked her stay at that time and followed up by phone, and paid a $50 deposit because it was a holiday week.(They told me the $50 would go towards the boarding.) We were quoted $250 for her stay. We were told what time to arrive to ensure we would only be charged for boarding that day. When I arrived this morning to get my dog, I was told our total was $322. I told them that I was quoted $250 and was expecting to pay $220 because of the $50 deposit. (We picked her up first thing this morning instead of last thing last night because our drive home was delayed by bad weather, so I expected the total would be slightly higher than I was quoted.) The person at the front desk was extremely apologetic but said that that was our total. They couldn't figure out how to get the $50 credited to the total, so they refunded the deposit to my card. (If the deposit doesn't actually come off the total, why tell people it will?) I was told there was an extra fee for the July 4th holiday as well, but wasn't quoted that. I don't feel good about our experience there, though the people were nice I feel like I got different answers from each person and no one likes to receive a bill over $100 more than what they were quoted. I'm hopeful that they're better with dogs than they are with math, making appointments, quoting prices, and meeting expectations. read more

They also will do baths, which is very convenient. Staff knows your name along with your dog - they recognize you as soon as you walk in. Wonderful place - highly recommend. read more

Update: They have been posting more pictures and it is the highlight of my workday! I have a 6 month old German Shepherd mix and he LOVES Metro. The staff greet him by name and he is always so happy to get there. I pick him up and he is exhausted from a day of play. Their pickup and drop off hours are super convenient too. Parking is easy and plentiful. They were also SUPER prompt to respond to my email question and I got a phone call from a lovely lady who went over the details with me for his first visit. They put me at ease and were friendly and knowledgeable. My ONLY gripe is that they don't post enough pictures everyday to fb/Instagram!!! I know that seems silly but it seems like most of the doggie day care places do a lot of that now so you can see your pupper enjoying their day. read more

I brought my dog here for a day of doggie daycare. He lasted 40 minutes, and they failed him. I asked if they had any resources to help my dog to eventually come back. They had nothing to give me. As a company, all of your workers should be certified dog trainers, and you should provide customers with resources when you turn them down. read more

Our family had to evacuate to Forth Worth when hurricane Ida hit. We needed to board our dog an English Bulldog and when we picked him up a few days later he was tired and had scratches on his face. Over the next few days he got sicker and sicker. We called Metro to ask if they knew if any other dogs were sick. The girl on the phone was laughing as I told her that our dog became sick after staying there. We are back in New Orleans and will take our baby to a vet to hopefully get him back on the right track. Metro Animals saved me as I recently moved to Fort Worth and needed to find daycare for my 3 pups! I love that they take walk-ins. I wish I could drop off all three pups at the same place, but I appreciate that they cater to the pups' needs and behavior and place senior and small dogs together and more young and energetic dogs together. This Metro location is where we first began doggie day care with our Labrador puppy. He came home completely worn out, just like we were hoping. We are big fans of Metro Animals. The staff really care for the dogs and I trust them without any hesitation. We tried going to the day camp offered by PetSmart but Metro is 100 times better - there really is no comparison. I first took my 6 month old puppy to Metro for building social skills and to burn off some puppy energy and boy do they play hard all day. I actually work at Metro the smaller dog location and I love it. Its one of the best jobs i've ever had. I bring my two corgis to work with me fri,sat,sun and they play for 8 hours straight each day. My one corgi is 4 months and he sleeps for almost 10 hours straight after i bring him home and put him to bed. It honestly tuckers the poor guy out. Ive worked at other dog "spas" and boarding facilities and even though metro isnt the nicest facility around we all really care about the dogs and dont keep them locked up all day which is why i enjoy working there so much. Very poor communication skills between staff members. Was told two different things by two different employees. When I went to drop of a dog no one knew about it even though arrangements had been made. Had to wait until 2nd shift showed up to complete drop off. Was told foster dog had worms and covered in ticks but he was still in with all the other dogs when I went to drop off his meds. I don't feel like I ever got the whole story. read more

This is the best boarding and daycare place you could ever take your dog! As soon as my puppy was done with his vaccines I had him start going just for daycare. My (now 6 month) doberman is VERY well socialized. He has never had an issue with any dog regardless of their manor. There is a small dog and big dog location both on Camp Bowie. I have only gone to the big dog location and every time I drop my dog off all employees know him by name. Huge property in the back for them to run and when you board it is basically a big room! Staff is always professional and friendly. My dog has some special needs and they accommodate him with no fees and no hassles. I feel very comfortable leaving my pug at Metro. All of the staff know her by name. During one of her first daycare days the staff noticed she was a bit nervous so they separated her from the pack which I appreciated. She gradually got used to being there and seems to like it. read more

When I first called to inquire about boarding our dog Patches, I was pleasantly surprised by their process. Unlike most places, they require you to put your dog through orientation and doggy day care for 3 days prior to boarding so they can ensure your dog's temperament is okay with the other dogs. That meant a lot to me as a dog mom, knowing that they were ensuring the safety of my dog and other dogs. Today's her first day so I hope she likes it! My furbabies love it here and are tired and happy when they get home, that is such a help with my busy schedule. Also love the pet wash, makes giving the kids a bath after the dog park so much easier, and better for my back. I try to take my Chi Sophie Sue there a couple of times a week. I think it helps to keep her to keep her social. I also want her to be comfortable going somewhere when I need to board her overnight. My puppy is exhausted at the end of the day. I also really appreciate how the staff collaborates with you when you're training at home.
