Instead, I was told I was using the wrong preventative, which didn't address the issue at all. Not the level of care or responsibility I expected. I have never had to board a dog of mine before, so I was super nervous. I decided to check out this place and I'm so glad I did. They are OUT OF THIS WORLD! They actually care about you and your pets. Making a reservation was super easy, the whole staff is friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Before I made the reservation I spoke with Jonelle and she was very nice. While my dogs were there they even sent a couple of updates about how they were without me even asking which I REALLY appreciated as my dogs are truly my babies. We also have a boy who has issues with his ears so we don't touch them and I told them and they listening to my requests about that. They also let my babies room together which was so helpful for me and for them to feel more comfortable. I can't express how much I appreciate them. Sparky and Pinkie stayed for several weeks and you could certainly tell they were loved and taken care of the day we picked them up! What an amazing place to let our pups stay while we were out of town!! Our dogs and cats have been going to "A Yellow Rose Pet Resort in Azle, TX" for over 4 years. This boarding kennel was referred to me by a friend who used this facility for several years for her dog until he passed. We started using the kennel in January 2017, and during the first two years we took our pets EVERY MONTH because we had to travel to Santa Fe, NM to take care of a family friend for 5-7 days each time. After we moved her back to Texas in September 2019, our dogs are still going for Doggy Day Care every Thursday when space is available. They were also groomed there on a regular basis during all this time. We NEVER had any problems with our dogs or cats (when we would take the cats) at this location. Our pets always came home happy, healthy, clean and looked well fed. Their bed covers and rug were washed, folded and ready for us to pick up. Our pets never had to visit the vet or were ill when they came home from their extended visits or Thursday day care. I do know that someone recently filed two false reports with the Parker County Animal Control, and they surprised Kris and Steve with a full house, grounds and kennel search on two different occasions. They said they came back a second time because the person alleging the mistreatment and poor conditions said they didn't look around hard enough to find the issues. Both times, they left stating there was no proof to the allegations made against her property, care of the animals she owns or the pets in the boarding kennel. She even had an individual from Parker County Animal Control pose as a potential employee who wanted to work there, and she was given access to all the areas of her property onsite for several days. She quit after the investigations. I have looked at the negative reviews, and there is no way to tell that those photos were taken at her facility. I personally have been inside that facility, and I have not seen any problems as I am very particular. I would not leave my pets there if I thought there was poor care for her pets or our pets. read more

We tried booking our puppy, but nobody could get us in for months which is why we waited so long for his second haircut. Luckily they had an opening for us the same day! They said usually they can't same day, but they were very understanding of our situation and were able to help us out. We took our puppy Sheriff up here and the property was pretty cool! I have been very nervous to take him anywhere because I am so scared he will be mistreated or they won't be careful enough with him. This place was able to ease my mind with my wild fellow, and when I picked him up he was worn out! They said he was running around all day and he had such a cute haircut! My puppy is a bit nervous and skittish when it comes to grooming, and I was happy to know that they took good care of him. I am hoping this will help make his grooming easier over time with someone that can help him become used to it. We didn't get his leash or collar back when we picked him up and didn't realize until we left and went home. They legitimately were so kind about the situation and literally delivered it to me on one of their errands. I honestly doubt anywhere else I could've taken him to would do such a kind gesture. My dogs recently stayed at the Yellow Rose and they arrived home happy and healthy after a week. I got their name from a neighborhood website where multiple neighbors recommended them. I see a review from someone named "Honesty" but it is strange because it is her only review and no other identifying details for her so looks like an account made only to leave that negative review. While I was there picking up and dropping off my dogs other dogs owners were picking up/ dropping off and some were long time customers. I also saw them walking dogs while I was there. Be weary of someone who goes to a business to pose as someone who wants to work at the business just to leave a bad review and take pictures, and creates a profile solely for the purpose of leaving that review. Possible competing business in the area? I don't know but it sure is strange. read more

This place is great! The people are friendly and really care for the animals. My roof was destroyed in a storm n I needed somewhere to keep my dogs while we looked for a temporary place for all of us. I called Yellow Rose, they picked up on the first ring, I described my need for a kennel to take care of my hound mix and my Great Dane. They said sure come on out n told me how to find them n the price. The girl I met made me feel comfortable leaving my babies there as I knew they'd be well taken care of. Their prices are reasonable, the facility is so clean you'd never know it was a kennel. read more

This place is awful. You would not believe how your babies are living here. And the audacity to cover it up with a tick and flea shampoo 30 minutes before you pick them up. Go ahead, try to pick your pet up before the scheduled time and see how they look. And while you're there, see if they even let you in the "back back". Algae lines the water bowls. Kennels never cleaned. Dogs covered in feces. Y'all I am astonished. read more

This little out of the way facility is great for our pets. It's in the country yet accessible. Our dogs actually are eager to go there. They spoil them worse than we do and it shows. The nightly updates are also reassuring with videos if desired; relieves a lot of worry and separation anxiety. The owner has a lifetime of experience, appears to have seen it all, and knows how to handle everything including the unexpected. They live right on the property and are always accessible. When we must board our dogs we know we are leaving them in good hands. read more

Steve and Kris watched my little Jack for 4 days and he came back a new dog. He is a handful and has some issues but I really think they are like the dog whisper. I think they have such a calm relaxed energy about them and my Jack picked up on it. Amazing is the word. We've boarded him at other places and he came back completely exhausted and slept for days but when we picked him up today he was rested and relaxed. They gave me daily updates and pics while he was there and made me feel good about leaving him. They have a nice building that allows your dog to go inside and outside whenever they want from their own suite. Their prices are great and they really know animals. I highly recommend! read more

We are so fortunate to have found this place!!! We have been using them for quite some time now. We have one white miniature schnauzer mix (Lyla) that is 10 years old and she absolutely loves everybody!! I don't know how she does it but she reminds me of "Harry - The Dirty Dog"...but whenever we pick our girls up Lyla is always freshly bathed and cleaned!!! Our other dog is Mimi, she's an 11 year patterdale terrier mix. Mimi is very protective and not at all social or friendly to strangers. She's a growler and a barker that can be quite intimidating but she has bonded with Steve and Kris and does very well with them. We are never worried about either of our girls in their care! We live near Roanoke and it's a 50 minute drive for us and it's well worth every second. The facility is clean and very spacious. Each dog has it's own 'suite' with a doggie door that allows them to go out into their own personal yard. IT JUST COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS PLACE!!! Pricing is really great too! I can't say enough good things about the people at Yellow Rose. My lab has separation anxiety, and had always barked the entire time, rubbed her nose raw trying to escape, and was anxious upon my return when I boarded her at my vet. I've boarded her at Yellow Rose twice and it's a completely different experience. When I return she's relaxed and its apparent in the way she interacts with the staff that they have truly cared for her in my absence. read more

We left our 4 dogs with Kris and Steve for over 2 weeks during Christmas and they are the absolute BEST! We have used several other kennels before, but we have finally found the only one we will ever use again. They were very accommodating with our special requests. We have taken our Dogs there twice now. I like that each room has a door to an outside area. The rooms are much bigger for the same price as the previous place I boarded. I have large dogs so the extra space is nice! They take care of my dogs and never come home smelly. They are a small family run business and treat your dogs like one of their own. read more
