I have boarded my dog here a couple times when I have gone on vacation. There are things I love and things that are concerning - I love being able to watch my dog with the live cameras - I love that my dog gets his own area to sleep and decompress However, every time that I have taken him home from boarding, he goes to the vet and has kennel cough. It has become a routine EVERY TIME. When I had called the establishment about his situation, they told me no one was sick during his stay, but he was completely fine before we had left. The place can sometimes be overrun with so many dogs at times and I just wish there was honesty with his stay when asked. I do like camp now wow with their pros but I am always out more money after his boarding read more

This is by far the best camp bow wow I've ever been to! The team knew my dog after just a few days of him visiting for daycare. They give all the dogs love, pets, scratches, and you can tell watching the cameras that they genuinely love and care for your dog. When I drop my puppy off in the mornings, they're always so friendly and happy to see him. He's a crazy boy! Just a puppy, and it's obvious they understand him. I feel so comfortable leaving him in their care because I know they will protect each dog there like their own! When my dog has play time or snuggle time there, they send me photos of him by text and it makes my heart happy. I can't recommend them enough. My dog has the most fun there, and it's so great for socialization. Do yourself a favor, and more so, your dog a favor, and bring them to camp bow wow in West Fort Worth! They do not let the dogs out as often as you may think it's more like doggy jail then daycare

Nice establishment, pretty good customer service, but they don't do enough for what they they charge. I dropped my pup off (he's been several times) and this time was a little different. They were particular about the way his food was packaged, no big deal but tell me that when I make the appointment. Like send an email or something with "to do's". I've always put his food in a single gallon zip lock bag when I've dropped him off but this was the only time it was mentioned. No biggie but they could be on the same page or consistent with what they want. When I picked my pup up, it smelled badly in there and on the cameras, the dogs seemed to be unhinged. He came out extremely high energy, still well from the bath they gave, but very thirsty. When we got in the truck, I let him drink out of my water bottle and when we got home I filled his bowl 3x in 10 mins with water. Later that day he had the poops which lasted 3 whole days. Randomly runny poop throughout the day which he hasn't had since he was 6 months old. Not sure if they booked too many and were less attentive but again, this time was different. Still gave 4 stars because this is the first time out of all of my visits that this has been an issue but for $450 (this includes the $57 tip I left) things could've been better. read more

What started out as a love for the facility, turned into my dog being "dismissed" from the establishment. I began taking my 1 year old boxer to Camp Bow-Wow in hopes to release his energy because he is essentially still a puppy. He did just that. He would come home and be fast asleep from the fun filled day he had. I loved that there were cameras and I could watch him interact with all the other dogs. Well, I came to pick him up after a full day stay, only to find out he is being dismissed from the facility. I ask the worker( worker or owner, not too sure what his position is. He is always there taking dogs to the back area) I say, "Oh no what did he do?" I was genuinely concerned, I thought he snapped at another dog or something horrible had happened. The older gentlemen tells me "He kept jumping on a couple of dogs today. The dogs in turn got mad and backed him into a corner ready to fight him. He just has too much energy, we don't think he will be a good fit anymore. He's going to get himself hurt" The worker then told me "There is this place you can take him too down the street" I had a lot of thought going through my mind. First, I noticed from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. that day he was not on the camera. I just thought he happened to be out of frame every time I went to check on the cameras. Now I figured he was likely locked away in a cage. Secondly, why is my dog being dismissed. Why aren't the other dogs being reprimanded for their actions of getting so aggressive, they backed my dog into a corner "ready to fight him" as the worker said. Lastly, why was I not contacted regarding the situation! My dog could've easily stayed in a cage at home if they did that with him from the time I was not seeing him on camera from 12-5. (which is likely the case). The icing on top of the cake, I was told the all of this after I payed. The lady (also maybe owner?) quickly checked me out, then the older gentleman came to me and told me my dog is being "dismissed". My dog was put away for half the day meaning I should've payed for half the day because that is how long he was out on the floor with the other dogs. While I could've asked everything I had on my mind, I didn't. I knew it wasn't going to change the situation because they would still say he is dismissed. I was told numerous times by the workers on the floor that they love my dog and how awesome he is. I'm just glad that he is now gone, healthy and safe from the other aggressive dogs. There is a lot more that I would love to add of other red-flags I noticed, but there is not enough space. This facility prides themselves on getting dogs energy out, great socialization etc. I recommend if you are considering this place, proceed with caution. read more

Our dog Jerry started going to Camp Bow Wow FW back in the fall of 2017. He was our first doggie and was rescued. Tim and his team there have always gone above and beyond to make sure Jerry was taken care of. He did doggy day camp many, many days (great if you have a bored doggy) and boarded him as well. We got to know Tim and his staff over the years and were sad to move away from Fort Worth. Camp Bow Wow is a life saver. It has really taught Jerry how to be social and relaxed around other dogs. We can take him anywhere and he is very chill. Tim has always treated us with the utmost professionalism. I can't recommend them enough. An extremely well run facility where you can count on the staff to supervise the socialization of your dog with other well socialized canines. The initial "interview" process seeks to ensure aggressive animals are kept out, and that your pup will be able to spend the day playing with other well minded dogs. The staff is extremely friendly and quickly learns all the "campers" names! My dog is always happy and tired when I pick her up. I also really like the free mobile camp Bow Wow app that allows you to tap into the cams to take a look at your dog whenever you want during the day. Glad this place exists and is doing such a great job as an alternative to the public dog parks where aggressive and non-socialized dogs are becoming the norm. Half day (up to 5 hours) and full day programs are available and if you purchase a full-day package, you can get the cost per day down to a very reasonable level. You can watch throughout the day! Luckily i did this before I took my pup here. It was the most depressing day any dog could spend. No play, no petting, no toys, absolutely ZERO interaction. The dogs kept anxiously awaiting a door to open hopefully so their family would be there to save them. Watch the cam! I am telling the truth. They should be reported for neglect. I called at the end of the day to ask why all the fogs were completely ignored. I was told they are not allowed to touch , play or talk to the dogs because it could cause jealousy... give me a break, these are our family members and they deserve more! We take our golden retriever here about once a week. HE LOVES CAMP BOW WOW. They are always professional, he loves all his FURiends there. We've never had an issues and we love the "camper cams" that we can watch him play on. We also have left him over night when we have been out of town and also have had no issues. My dog started attending Camp Bow Wow in April this year. We had to find a new daycare for him because the one he was attending shut down. He attended his previous daycare for about 11 months with no issues what so ever. So I was excited to start him at Camp Bow Wow because he is a very friendly dog and gets along with all other dogs no matter size or breed. He has never been aggressive and is quite shy. He was a rescue. The first two days he was there was great. The third day I received a call at work from camp bow wow informing me that my dog had been bitten on the ear. They explained to me that my dog didn't understand personal space and that is why he was bit. I felt like they were trying to make it seem as if it were my dogs fault for getting bit. I had a hard time understanding how my dog is supposed to respect another dogs personal space. They are dogs. They sniff each others butts for Christ sakes. So I let that go and just thought it was to be expected with that many dogs in one space. About a month or so later I got another call at work telling me that my dog was the biter this time. Which was hard for me to accept because my dog is always so friendly. They told me that he was being put into a room by himself until he gets picked up. Like time out I guess. This was at 2:00pm. I don't get off of work until 4:00pm. So my dog sat in a room alone for 2 hours. I don't know if he was taken out to pee or even given anything to drink. I also noticed my dog came home thirsty everyday. He would drink water from the time we got home to the time he went to bed. It was like he couldn't get enough. He was always ready to get out of there when I picked him up. He would run to the door like he couldn't get out fast enough. I always thought that was strange. There were a few things that happened there that gave me negative vibes but I brushed them off, thinking I was being too over protective of my dog. He is now in a much better facility that I wished I would have started him at to begin with. He has been there for a full three weeks with absolutely no issues. He has a completely different attitude about him when coming and going from his new place and he doesn't act like he is going to die of thirst every time we get home. The entire atmosphere at the new daycare is different and much more easy going and laid back. The staff tell me about his day and what dogs he played with. He is also able to take a lunch and the staff lets me know if he ate all his food that day or not. Much better place than Camp Bow Wow and my dog and I are both much happier. I do not recommend Camp Bow Wow at all. I only gave one star because I had to. read more

I will NEVER take our dog back to this place, nor will I be recommending it. Our dog was anxious from the start (very unlike him). As I watched the Cam thru-out the day, I witnessed his anxiety elevate. This led to my anxiety being elevated. By noontime our dog was sad, anxious & ignored. He found a spot where he spent his afternoon, UNENGAGED & SAD. Fast forward, he came home EXTREMELY dehydrated and continued to drain his water bowl to try and quench his thirst. Do not take your puppy here. my puppy contracted Cannie Papilloma Virus (puppy worts) from them. In addition to a health problem and excessive vet visits. If that were my only problem with them, I'd probably be still a very happy customer. But we've also had much difficulty with them separating our 6 month puppy (whom is a very friendly socialized golden retriever) due to various excuses like bullying from male other dogs. We were going to get him neutered the next week after he turned six months, but they isolated him that whole time without even inquiring about the neutering. They also claimed he was exhibiting sexual maturity and the hormones are why he was being bullied. Yet, with much research and information from my vet, he hadn't even began lifting his leg to urinate which is the scientific mark of sexual maturity. He still doesn't, and it's a month later. In addition, No bullying has ever been witnessed in any other social situation around other males in our apartment complex where there are plenty of other males. The purpose of taking my puppy to daycare was not to have him isolated and alone without any phone call regarding the situation? Or why they decided to isolate him?. I have had to call to find out the circumstances about 5 times to find out why he was alone in another playroom. After a few times of calling they now take him to the office and away from the cameras. Hoping I won't notice? Seems a lot like they've got something to hide. It makes me very upset to know that they've taken my sweet puppy off camera. What do they have to hide? When I inquired each time they were extremely rude in their response and not empathetic to my concern I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe they had my puppies best interest at heart, but I'm afraid they've proved me wrong on that. My puppy loves it here and we loved bringing him here, until we encountered so many problems. I am extremely disappointed in how they have treated me as a customer and my dog. They claim to be educated staff members on handling dogs and puppies, but they seem to need some re-education. I wouldn't bring your puppy even if you have time to watch the video feed all day and call them when they're not taking proper care of your puppy. I trusted them to take care of my sweet puppy, now I'm not really sure what they've done to him, and that's an awful feeling. Save yourself the trouble and find another daycare! read more

Unfortunately we did not have the same experience as the other raters. We took our puppy on a trial day out. We really liked the idea of having the attention to our new pup throughout the day. The facility provided us with access to monitor throughout the day, but it became obvious from the monitoring that our puppy, and so many others, were not monitored but instead just placed in a holding play area for the entire day. As the day carried forward I had the opportunity from my new job to monitor frequently. Had I not just began my job I would have left immediately to get my pet. At the end of the day, I picked up my pet who was obviously dehydrated and in need of rest and water. I would have thought someone would contact me following the trial visit but clearly they did not care afterward or during. In a nutshell, you can do better. read more

Unfortunately we will not be bringing our dog back to this facility, I'm disappointed with their customer service. I have taken my dog there several times for 3-7 day stays while I commute between Houston and FW and he had always come back alive, fed, and bathed so for that I'm grateful. However, this last time I had just had it with the attitude of an employee.. I think his name is Tyler? I only get 12 hours of notice before I have to make the trip and my next call is always CBW, and every time I feel like I'm being lectured (by the same employee) about how I really need to call with more notice, and I always apologize for the late inquiry. However, today was a crazy day and I was 1. Lectured about calling sooner, 2. I forgot his dog tag and given a hard time about that (they made accommodations for that but seemed very annoyed) and then finally 3. I brought his dog food in gallon ziplock bags instead of individually packaged and this same employee rolled his eyes and again was rude to me for an honest mistake. I obviously did not have it all together, but there was no reason so make me feel like a nuisance when I pay good money and TIP ON MY BILL TO BE KIND. I had a screaming newborn baby in my car while trying to handle my 100lb dog and coordinate with my employer to travel to Houston.... the last thing I needed was a bad attitude. And finally, twice I have picked up my dog with conjunctivitis in his eye and once he was returned with an open wound on his back that had become infected that required irrigation to heal. I never gave CBW a hard time about this because I understand things happen, I wish I had received the same attitude from them. I will say that Tim tried to remedy the situation by saying he'll talk to the employee, but I just wasn't in the mood to be disrespected nor brush it off. If that's the way they are going to treat me, I can only imagine how they treat my dog. I'll find someone else to take my $300-400 and sweet dog for a few days. read more

The best place we have found to care for our pup! My dog, Lorianne, has stayed at Camp Bow Wow twice. She typically is very nervous about going to the vet and kennels for boarding no matter how many visits she makes. After her initial meeting with the staff at Camp Bow Wow, she went back for her first overnight and didn't have any nervous energy about going inside, same with her second visit. Aside from knowing she likes to be there, I love that they have a camera system that allows me to check in on her at any moment of the day. I've seen her sleeping, eating, playing with other animals, and being loved on by staff members. My daughter loves, loves, loves this service. Customer service is a priority for the staff, and they are genuinely nice people which is hard to find nowadays!! Not only have I found a place that is trustworthy to take care of my pet, but they are very friendly and very informative about how my pup does during her stay with them as well. I've also never had an issue with them not having space for her which allows me the freedom to travel while also allowing me to take her to the same place consistently. We are so happy with Camp Bow Wow off Camp Bowie! We just picked our 4 cocker spaniels after spending 12 days at CBW and they are healthy and happy! We had them in one of the six suites which has a camera so we were able to watch them 24/7. If you can do that, highly recommend! Tim and his staff (shoutout to Kate in the small dog area!) were wonderful to work with. We even added an extra day to their stay while we were away and they easily accommodated our request. This was our 3rd Summer boarding our dogs at CBW Camp Bowie during our annual vacation and I can honestly say- we were able to enjoy our vacation more knowing they were taken care of by Tim and team. This is the best doggy daycare/boarding facility in town- I dare say in the country (they have various locations). We take our dog to this location, but have also taken her to one in Colorado (Golden) and were very pleased to find the same level or cleanliness and care. It's clean, large, has cameras to watch your dog via their app, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. They take great care of the animals staying with them and I trust them greatly with my dog. They get to know you and your pet and go the extra mile! They also provide excellent services (nail trimming, baths etc.) We have taken our dog, Reagan, to 3 doggy daycare places in Fort Worth and this is by far our favorite (and hers)! She gets SO excited when we pull up, runs inside, and literally does not want to leave at the end of the day! I would highly recommend Camp Bow Wow for your daycare/boarding needs! read more

Tim and the staff of this location are friendly and simply terrific. We've been bringing our two Vizslas here since we moved to the area in 2018. They usually stay for extended periods of time when we bring them. Each visit has been great, and Gunnar and Tessa are always well cared for. I know I do not have to worry about them we we go! This was evident during the winter storm 2021. We couldn't return home, but Tim provided a safe place for them, even staying over the long nights to make sure all was well for all there. I'm a camp bow wow loyal from dallas going on 7 years and I could not be more excited Fort Worth West is now open! They have all the amenities and services Camp Bow Wow Dallas offered as well as half day day care options and day care drop off on Saturday and Sunday. Tim and the staff there have been absolutely nothing but excellent. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the dogs. I never have to worry about my dogs when they're at Camp Bow Wow. The real-time video cameras of the play areas are the best quality I've seen in a dog day care in Fort Worth or Dallas. Since they have outdoor areas with turf instead of grass or stone/dirt, the dogs don't get as dirty as they do at other day care facilities. I've used their overnight boarding and grooming and everything was top notch - even better if that's possible. When we moved to Fort Worth last year, my biggest anxiety was 'what will we do without a camp bow wow nearby?' I took my dogs to two other dog day care/boarding businesses on Camp Bowie very close by that get excellent Yelp reviews and I left disappointed in more than one aspect of each. It really it has to do with they weren't held to the level of cleanliness and service as Camp Bow Wow. The lobby of these other facilities were dirty or smelled like wet/dirty dogs or dog urine when I walked in. Maybe it was just a bad day but I've never had this in 7+ years of going to Camp Bow Wow in Dallas. The staff and Camp counselors at Camp Bow Wow are also held to a higher standard of customer service and are just overall better - friendlier, nicer, more thorough, etc. they really care about your pet and making sure they are safe, have fun, are loved and well taken care of. For example, when we boarded our dogs last week, one dog with storm anxiety wouldn't eat. I have video proof of the owner and camp counselor sitting on the floor hand feeding my dog! Without me even having to ask they did this. That's what I mean when I say they care and Camp Bow Wow Fort Worth West is the BEST! read more

I took my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and my dad's mini Aussie earlier this week for their free interview day. The staff was fantastic helping me get all their paperwork filled out since I sort of had my hands full bringing in 3 dogs at the same time. I will not be doing that again!! LOL!! Bad idea on my part! I was already familiar with CBW as I used two different locations over in Dallas with another dog I had that has now passed. All 3 of our dogs LOVED their stay at Camp Bow Wow! New to town and had visited a substandard facility the day before which would not allow tours, did not have cameras, crates all the dogs when boarded and has surge pricing over holidays. Told their staff that there were a number of red flags and they were unconcerned. So relieved when we visited Camp Bow Wow. Caring, attentive staff remembers "campers" names. Very open about entire facility during allowed tour. They keep meticulous records about how your pup is handling boarding appetite wise. If you have an anxious pup, you can add on a nighttime story routine to soothe or book a larger, private soundproof room if necessary. Both are an additional cost, but there is no surge pricing for holiday reservations. There may be a minimum night reservation over certain holidays. Felt thankful and reassured after visiting this facility. Sometimes we have to board for a week or so, and we need the peace of mind that she is not tearing up a bed each trip or requiring nausea medicine. Will use doggy daycare weekly and booked two future boarding reservations. You can use the app to peek in on your pup at any time. read more

We have a 5 month old Pyrenees puppy who we were looking to establish regular care for closer to our home. She went for her first day, what they call an "interview" and we were beyond excited! Dropped her off in the morning at about 10:30am and were told we could pick her up after work. I spent my day checking in her watching their cameras to see what she was doing, it seemed like she was having a ton of fun the first few hours! I counted over 30 dogs in her play area and saw in other rooms there was only one lonely dog. Then suddenly she was tired, panting, and I never saw her drink water. Around 5 we picked her up in a hurry because we had family coming out of town and had to meet them. We bring her home and she runs to the toilet, cleans out the toilet bowl, licks her water bowl clean twice, then back to the toilet. Her nose was hot, dry, and she would not stop panting, I was concerned especially coupled with the fact I had not seen her drink water over her stay. A few weeks later I get an email asking what I think and I leave a review stating I would not be bringing her back because of the water issue. A week later we get multiple emails and calls from the owner, I believe his name is Tim Lightfoot? Who knows, I deleted so I could forever forget about this place. He called asking what happened, explaining I was wrong about the water and blaming my dogs extreme exhaustion and dehydration on her young age. At this point, I was okay with him letting me know about the water and considering returning since he had been so diligent in following up. However when I told him that I was concerned with the fact if my dog was that stressed and possibly too young to have remained a full day there and I felt we should have been alerted, his tone turned combative, rude, and demeaning. My problem is not what happened with our dog but the way my concerns were turned into an argument and ended with hateful comments. As long as everything goes well, this is a great place. However because there are going to be concerns along the road at some point when you take your animal somewhere, I would avoid this place. There are much more professional and friendly places in the area that will take the time to listen and understand your concerns. (I recommend MUTTSHACK in NRH.) Due to the beyond hateful attitude and tone of this phone call and owner (manager?) I will never be bringing any animal to this place and I recommend you do the same. If you are looking for rude management, overcrowded play rooms, and isolated dogs in other cases, this is your place. read more

Excellent doggy day care. Our dogs come home tired, which is a sign of a great day care. You can watch your dog through the Camp Bow Wow app on one of several indoor and outdoor cameras. The owner, Tim Lightfoot, is on-site open to close pretty much every day, which is rare. He and his staff truly care about the dogs. They sometimes notice little medical or behavioral issues with our dogs which we miss. Very clean facility, which is a stark contrast to other day cares. Other day care's may have grass and dirt play areas, which can get old after constantly having to bathe your dogs after each visit. Bow Wow are sticklers about your dogs' shots, which is important. It's unfortunate one of the reviewers had a sick dog...that stuff sometimes happens when an excited dog over does it in the summer. Bow Wow tries hard to limit heat exposure in the summer. You know you are in the right place when you pull up and your dogs tail immediately starts wagging, then you walk inside and all of the staff members know your dog and come greet him and love on him. This is a great facility with excellent staff members. Being able to peek in on my dog from the online cameras is a bonus and I get to see him play on the equipment, romp around with other pups, and get attention from the staff. Everyone at Camp Bow Wow West is so nice and friendly and they truly give you peace of mind knowing your dog is in excellent hands and very well taken care of. read more

Absolutely amazing! Our dog loves it, so motivated to go, so loved while there and everyone is always so friendly and nice. Mr. Tim has always been such a joy to talk to. When we call to check on our dog the update is always so personable. When evaluating the monitors the dogs are running around enjoying being around other dogs. What is the most accurate is the saying on the front of the building "where a dog can be a dog!" The cost is more than worth it. My wife and I work in healthcare and work long hours and we always know our puppy is being taken care of either while we work or if we ever go on a trip. We cannot say enough good things about this business and both Tim the owner and Tyler the manager. Over and beyond what we would have ever imagined. I would say if there are any bad reviews it is because expectations were not established with the owner of the pet or it is from trolls blasting others for the good work and amazing personality. Good job Camp Bow Wow for assisting Fort Worth with a doggie day care that actually cares and goes the extra mile to show our fur babies love and admiration. If you are looking for a day care to coddle your puppy or spend one on one time with them all day this may not be the place because this is where you take your dog so they can hang out with dogs and actually be a dog. I rescued my Yorkie/Maltese mix about month ago and found that he had some separation anxiety. I searched for Doggy Day Cares for him to go to a few days a week and found Camp Bow Wow was super close by. After looking at reviews, seeing how close it was to my apartment and coming to check out the facility, Camp Bow Wow seemed like an amazing fit. And it is!! My dog loves Camp Bow Wow, the owner is kind and answers all of my first time dog mom questions with patience and understanding. The staff is so sweet, they love my dog and really pay attention to him. I get to check on my pup with the mobile app while at work and it makes me feel better knowing he is safe and happy there.
