Used them for a tenant move out deep clean. did an ok job on the dusty areas of the house. but it seems that if it cannot be removed with basic cleaners, they do not know how to do it. stainless steel kitchen sink, they could not even get watermarks off it. I did it myself in 5 minutes with the stainless steel cleaner. bathroom granite counter that had hard water stain on it. they could not get it off after cleaning it twice. with the right cleaner, vinegar based, it dissolved and is gone in less than 5 minutes. The result, I expected a professionally cleaned house what I was left with was a basic wipe down that tool 2 people 5 hours to do in a 1075 square foot house. Came to the house for estimate then they only did half the job before they started packing up. I had to take her back to the kitchen and show her everything she missed. She said "it was very dirty" to which I replied "I know that's why I hired you". Since she did a walkthrough before giving me the quote I feel they should have done the job. Way overpriced for the job they did. Two women,2 hours $250. All they wanted to do is damp mop and dust. I can do that myself. This experience left me feeling horrible. I hired Meticulosity for a deep clean after I moved out of a house. I had cats who used litter boxes. Jennifer, who would prove to be quite rude, never asked me about pets during booking and I assumed that for a deep clean it wouldn't matter. I had luxury vinyl floors. the team was a younger man and an older woman. he asked me whether he was supposed to wash windows and I said he should ask Jennifer. next thing I know, Jennifer is calling me, accusing me of having cat poop, pee and vomit all over the floor in one bedroom and the laundry room, and has pictures to prove it. WTF? maybe I missed a piece of dried poop between the treadmill and the wall from my old cat. yes, there are dried up water spots on the floor but I had actually looked over the floors to be sure there wasn't anything like vomit etc. and my cats don't pee on the floor. Jennifer accuses me of lying about having cats, that I should have told them even if they don't ask me, telling me that I had a choice to be charged an extra $200 or they would leave right then and I would still have to pay 50% of the fee.). I said they should finish the value of the 50% in other areas of the house. I'm not in the cleaning industry. I didn't know that it made a difference if I have cats or not. The house was empty--no cats or litter boxes. website didn't mention pets. why is Jennifer so accusatory- as though I planned it like this. Maybe they don't ask so that they can up the price in the middle of the job. then Jennifer emails me a letter saying that I was being cancelled because I violated company health codes. AND after they left, I went into the offending bedroom and they left a LARGE puddle of water on the floor! This could have ruined my floor. Oh, and during/after my call with Jennifer, the woman cleaner kept repeating "caca caca" like a child. WORST CLEANING (not) EXPERIENCE EVER. My sister loves them. Bought the Groupon for four man hours (two people working two hours) - the two women were twenty minutes late - neither of them spoke English. I had some specific instructions I tried to give them about cleaning but they appeared to not understand anything I said - They only managed to clean the bathrooms, a cooktop and island counter. Each time I passed the rooms they were working it was clear that one was simply talking and slooooooowly dragging a towel across surfaces. -Rather than split up to be productive, they followed each other through the house, squeezing into tiny bathroom spaces where two people couldn't possibly be working well -Carpets weren't vacuumed, the furniture wasn't dusted, the refrigerator door wasn't cleaned. the floors weren't washed -They did manage to almost completely scrub the manufacturer label off of my range hood, leaving it scrapped an illegible There is no price that you could call a "deal" to get this level of cleaning. I purchased 4 hour cleaning service through Living Social and for 4 long hours (2 women working 2 hours) they only managed to cleaned two bathrooms !! 2 bathrooms for 4 hours ?? Are you kidding me? And the bathroom was not even very well cleaned. I could have done the bathrooms myself in half hour. For comparison, I purchased another cleaning service via Living Social. Only for 3 hours and that company did a great job. They cleaned three bathrooms, kitchen, and vacumned the house all in three hours. And the bathrooms were sparkling. Saw a groupon price with this company & instead of going through groupon they offered to give me the groupon price through them. The 2 ladies who came were definitely nice, I had detailed what I wanted to them & realized they didn't speak much English so that was hard to communicate what I wanted. Also I must say on the blinds, I've done a better job myself. Same with the bathrooms. I purchased a Groupon for three 4-hour cleanings. Week 1: Please concentrate on the floors and bathrooms. The two women only did half the floors and 2 of the 3 bathrooms. In 4 hours? They did talk to each other a LOT. And they took our new kitchen scrubber sponge. Week 2: Please DO the floors and bathrooms. They did NONE of the floors and 2 of the 3 bathrooms. I called and asked what instructions she gave the ladies and she repeated back to me exactly what I had asked for. When I said they did not do ANY of the floors, she explained that maybe they did not understand her because she does not speak Spanish. I asked for them to come back to do the floors because I was having a party the next day. She said they would have to charge me for another 4 hours. HUH? I did them myself. I also asked why they would take our new kitchen scrubber sponge. She said maybe they thought it was theirs. But they took another one this week. Week 3: I was told they would make sure to do the floors, but was asked to pick up as much as I could so they could do their job. I did even though I felt like that was THEIR job. I was also told they would spend extra time to make up for my inconvenience the prior week. When I found that it appeared they did not spend any extra time, I emailed to inquire why not. OMG! what didn't they do? I met Gabby and Norma at 1:15 today and welcomed them into our home. I explained I wanted a deep cleaning on all three bathrooms as well as the kitchen and master bedroom. I asked them to use our vacuum as I didn't want someone else cat hair in our carpet due to my severe allergies. I also explained I wanted them to have the cabinetry cleaned and oiled. They both agreed and I left them to work and went back to my work. After half an hour, I realize I had made an error about cleaning the cabinetry wood work. I went into the master bathroom and Norma was polishing the last cabinet door in the bathroom. Gabby was standing on top of the counter polishing the brushed nickel light fixture and the glass of each light fixture of six each and then the light bulbs themselves. They were both really into their work and I watched them for a few minutes in amazement! I have struck gold! I spoke to Gabby and Norma and explained that today I don't want them to polish all the wood cabinets in the home. I would rather have them do a deep cleaning today on the whole home and then have both of them back again. Gabby completely understood what I had wanted and after talking to each other, they switched their cleaning plan and kept their cleaning into high gear! I showed them some of the cleaning products that we use and asked them to use these products instead of the ones they brought with them. I went back to work in our office with Jim. They were both moving very quickly and cleaning everything in sight! We have had many housekeepers during our years together but these two took the cake and the ice cream and even the pie! They worked constantly and quickly while we were working in our office in the front of the home. I showed Norma how to use our canister vac with it's attachments and she said Thank You. She got busy right away using the attachments to reach hard to clean areas. The two of them reached our office a few minutes before 4 PM and Jim and I went into the garage to let them finish. Around 4:45 PM, Gabby came out to the garage to let me know they were finished for the day. I walked the house in amazement and told them I would be calling them again. I took photos of some of the rooms they cleaned and hope I can post them here. They had continued to at least wipe down all the cabinets as well as cleaned everything in sight to a clean sanitary shine. I thanked them for their service and told them I would be calling again to have them come out and do more work. I gave them each a decent gratuity and explained to both of them I will want them to come back out. I will be using this couple again most definitely over and over. I was quoted $600 for a "deep clean" for a 2800 square foot home. A cleaning crew of 4 worked for just under 4 hours and unfortunately, did an overall poor job. Toilet bowls were not cleaned well, baseboards were missed or just not done well at all with most corners left untouched. Additionally, zero effort was made to clean around appliances and under couches. We have laminate flooring and couches with good height clearance so it is fairly easy to get underneath (I do it without an issue with my Swiffer normally). After speaking to the company "assistant" after they had reviewed all the pictures I sent, they stated that some things like cleaning under the stove and fridge were not done because I had not "asked". I was very disappointed by that response. If you use this company, assume that things will not be touched unless you specifically outline every single item that should be touched with a "deep" cleaning. The stove was cleaned but still had food in it, the shower drain still had hair as well. There was zero attention to detail and the price was steep for the level of service provided. Meticulosity offered to take $150 off my bill and did not offer to send anyone back. The crew was polite and respectful while they cleaned but I would not hire them again and would definitely not recommend them for a deep or regular cleaning service. read more

Some insight from a year-long customer... Jen's priorities are on her existing customers (sort of). Groupon/Living Social customers will get half-hearted effort and are not a priority (based on discussions with her). Her basic business model is turn-and-burn. If her Groupon customers never come back, that's fine. She's got the cash. If they convert to long-term customers, then great. If they drop her (like me) then that's fine too... she issues more Groupon offers!! It's a fairly callous but effective model. So why did I drop her? A couple of reasons: First, the company's capacity to be on time is impossible. They will NEVER be on time - period. If they are, go buy a lotto ticket, because it's your lucky day. Second, I got tired of all the damage. Let me clarify - if a glass is broken by accident, no biggie! It's an accident. But when you scrub a stainless steel stove with a Brillo pad or use bleach on colored grout, then that's incompetence! When that bleach gets dripped on the carpet and towels, then that's pure apathy! Any damage will be "reimbursed" with free service (ie. more damage) and any cash reimbursement will take forever. In fact, I still have bleached grout. Beware!! read more

I was looking for a company for a regular house cleaning service and I have bought some one-time groupon deals when came across a Living Social deal for $200 for Meticulosity three 4-man hours of house cleaning. The owner of this company, JEN, does not have any people skills. Customer service is extremely poor. There should be NO STARS on this review. First of all, it is extremely hard to schedule a house cleaning from this company. They do not answer their phone. When we finally came up with a schedule, her housekeeper came 35 minutes late. My husband cannot have him complete the 4 hours because we were expecting company so he asked if we can get credit. He told my husband to call Living Social and ask for a refund! My husband asked if he can reschedule, the housekeeper said NO. I called the company and complained. JEN called me back (at least they know how to call back) and defended her employee. She also said that I am CHEAP because I asked for a discount when it was already a deal. She also told me that she earns $150,000 per year and she has owned this company for nine years. Before I forget, they have a policy for their housekeepers that they can arrive up to an hour late, just in case everybody's wondering why they are always late. For the reviewers out there, I have also tried Healthy Living Cleaning Service and they rock! They arrive ON TIME and they have very good customer service. I think I will go with them instead. Jennifer has always been prompt & timely with setting up cleaning apt's (met my desired schedule everytime) and also is great about sending out reminders via email and phone the days leading up to the appointment. Her staff did an excellent job on our house! Our bathrooms and kitchen sink sparkle and the house smells so fresh after they are finished. Both times the ladies have definitely needed some direction on what you specifically want cleaned and there can be a slight language barrier but it's easily overcome and the end result is worth it! Also I've used a few cleaning companies and they all have a "window" of time that the staff may arrive that can range up to a couple of hours. When I called for an appointment the gal told me they don't service R.M. because she can't get anyone to go out there. This is an overdue review I decided to put off until I could make fair comparison with other cleaning services. I used the service for a 4 hour cleaning with a livingsocial deal. They cleaned my kitchen/great room, one guess bathroom, vacuumed the living room floor and barely started on master bath. Good: A good job on the kitchen, although not the best I had, a decent one that made my sink shined. Bad: Attitude. Who would want to work with people that talks as if you own them a ton of money? To start, as I told them the priorities, two house cleaner gave me the look (they don't talk much English) that I am exploiting them badly. So I told them I am realistic and all depends on what they can finish. When I saw them finishing the kitchen and working on the guest bath, I asked if they think they can clean the master bath in time. And one of the staff talked to the other (in front of me) like this: "there is not much time (left) and she want us to clean the master bath, and it is big and DIRTY." What?! My bath room is regularly cleaned, maybe a bit messy with the cosmetics on the counter but not dirt-y, --if it can be any cleaner I won't need you...wait, that is not even the point...Has anyone told you not to use offending words to your customer? And not much time = half an hour with two person? So, I was not surprised soon later when they claimed their time is up and they have to go (leaving master bath barely started, hallway floor vacuuming incomplete). I told them with a straight face that I recorded them arriving at xx:xx (late) and they still have 15 minutes to finish the vacuuming. Awkward, isn't it? Would I want the experience again? I bought the Groupon last week to schedule a deep cleaning. I had no trouble getting through and was able to schedule an appointment for a few days later. The girls showed up half an hour early which was fine with me as I had gotten home from work early. They did a fantastic job cleaning my bathrooms, bedrooms, living room and kitchen. They even dusted our DVD collection! One of the girls accidentally broke a lighting fixture. I called and was told that Jen would come by then go to home depot and get me a replacement. Unfortunately I still haven't heard from Jen. The kitchen was gleaming, the floors were clean, and every surface was dusted clean. Plus they were really nice and both worked really hard. I would have given 5 stars except there were a few minor things - they didn't clean the glass of the French doors and they left rug outside after mopping the floor. Amazing. They did a wonderful job. The scheduling leaves a lot to be desired (tried to reschedule for a different day, but that didn't work for me so they said they would come 3 hours later and showed up an hour early!), but the work the crew did was outstanding! One woman scrubbed all of the nasty residue under my stove hood and the other two vacuumed, dusted and straightened everything in 3 rooms. The way they arranged the pillows on my bed looks even better than the way I do it! Jen really does need to work out the scheduling better though. I bought the Groupon coupon in May 2013, used through summer every two week. At the end of coupon liked the service to my home and kept my two hard working ladies on the biweekly schedule. My ladies are never late and sometime a few minutes early as we are the first house of the day at 8 AM. The service that they provide is adequate, and I do some cleaning during their off week. Last visit they left saying "your house is so clean, yah it is because I like it that way". I don't expect my home to stay clean magically, but my two ladies do a really good, because it sparkles went they are done and I also provide at little assistance. I lost my regular house cleaners, whom I miss very much! I wanted to go with a company that was bonded and insured. I saw the Groupon advertisement and purchased the 4 hour one time cleaning. I have a 2300 sq ft home in the country with 3 GSDs who live with me. The home has 3 bedrooms, two baths, a living room, kitchen, breakfast nook, office and laundry room. The guest room is rarely used, but a dog crate is in there and one dog is kept in there. Another dog crate is kept in the laundry room. All dogs were put up outside in outdoor kennels when the ladies clean. I maintain my own home. I vacuum and mop every other day and dust 1-2 times a week. I clean my bathrooms once a week as well. I like a clean home because my working conditions are often in filth. I do not want to come home to or live in a dirty home. My home is not "dirty" or "filthy" My prior housecleaning team as well as my current housecleaning team can attest to its cleanliness and neatness. The first team from Meticulosity arrived late. I was told that the original team had been held over at another location. This first team did a very good job and I was pleased. The second team arrived and they did a fairly good job as well. They cleaned the sinks and tubs with dish soap and a rag. I have/had proper cleansers and other cleaning materials if they did not. I wished they had asked. The third time, only one person came. It is impossible to properly clean my home with one person in three or four hours. When I contacted Jen and asked for a team, she told me the lady (Ana) lived in my area and she would be doing my home. I expressed my concern about her ability to clean my home in the amount of time. She asked that I give Ana a chance. It just did not work out with one person! Expressed the same concern to Jen again and was given a team again that consisted of Ana and Yara (sp). Together, they did a fair job. However, they had difficulty figuring out my Kirby vacuum cleaner and its attachments. I asked them to let me know when they wanted to change the attachments and I would do that for them (I always stayed in the home while they cleaned). They did not do that, and when they vacuumed, the head was not properly put back on the vacuum, cleaner, hence the vacuum did not work properly. I had a team of two for two more cleanings, with still the same results (a fair to poor housecleaning each time) and then received just one house cleaner after that. The house cleaner(s) were NEVER on time, arriving anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours late. Never a call to update me. I ALWAYS had to call to find out what the delay was. I provided a list of things that I wanted done to my one and final house cleaner. I provided the cleaning equipment and proper cleansers. My house was never fully cleaned to my satisfaction. I often found myself going over her work and re doing it myself, including dusting and vacuuming after she left.. I tried to speak with Jen about this, reiterating my desire for a team of two, and four hours of cleaning. She would not give me a team of two. Then, Jen left and her mother was handling the scheduling. I just gave up in frustration! I definitely would NOT recommend this company. They sorely lack in customer service skills and general business acumen , primarily timeliness, scheduling and staffing.
