This is a top-notch group here! The initial response to our inquiry was within about 10-minutes and on a weekend. After a discussion regarding services desired versus provided, a date/time was established and they sent an estimate/proposal via PDF. Shea and Colton arrived at our house on-time for the walk-through. They started the initial/deep-clean and after about 4 hours later, our house was in a cleaner condition than when we moved in. We are hoping to get them on a monthly calendar for the upkeep. These are nice guys, very easy to communicate with, and I'd highly recommend them. I had high high hopes based on all of the reviews, but boy do I sure feel totally robbed. And for the price I definitely expected quality service but I was very wrong. I was charged $400 for a deep clean that was anything but a deep clean. Basic things were not done, like the microwave was not even touched and trashes were not emptied. Also, the stovetop was still dirty and inside the oven was not completely clean. If these basic things to the naked eye can be quickly spotted, what else isn't clean that I can't easily see is what I would really like to know? I bet quite a bit. Anyways, I contacted the company about all of this and alls they offered was an apology and to come back in two days or a generous $20 refund. We moved to Roseville 2 years ago from the Bay Area where we were fortunate to have a long term house cleaning service. After going through a remodel last year and trying to keep the house clean, my wife decided to try Yelp to find a housecleaning service locally. After her extensive research, she found Aloha Cleaning Service that had great reviews and inquired on getting bi weekly or monthly service. She was told they were not taking on any new clients at this time, so we decided on a deep clean service for the holidays which they provided to us. Shea and Colton came over to inspect the house going room by room noting all items they would clean and spent 7 hours thoroughly going through the home with a deep clean especially after our initial cleaning after construction. I contacted Aloha on a Friday looking for a one time deep clean of my son's house while he was on vacation. The owner got back to me within 24 hours and after discussing what I needed and how large a house my son had, he emailed me a quote. The quote was thorough and listed exactly what I could expect. They were able to do the house the following Monday at 8 o'clock in the morning. They arrived promptly at eight and started cleaning. The owner and I think one of the co-owners was cleaning with him. I asked them to text me when they were 30 minutes from being done. I received the text and returned to discover that they did an amazing job! The house was visibly shinier and smell fantastic. I walked around inspecting things and couldn't believe how clean they had gotten every surface. They even went the extra mile and clean the inside and outside of some very high two-story windows in the kitchen. I would definitely use them again. As reference, I've had housekeepers cleaning my own house for the last 26 years. I realize that the deep cleaning service request would be a challenging job. Getting the initial quote together was difficult on my end because I was having to coordinate from out of town. I got a quote in February but it looked like an onsite walkthrough would be needed based on the scope in order to get a more accurate estimate of the cost and we were only able to schedule the appointment in person this month due to mutual scheduling conflicts. After the walkthrough, Shea said he would send a revised quote. I had to follow up nearly 2 weeks later since I hadn't heard from him only for him to say he would not be able to help with the service quote. I would have preferred a more timely and direct response from Shea, saying he was not interested in revising the quote for the job. It would have been the more courteous approach. I do want to acknowledge that initial communication was positive and the first quote was pulled together quickly. It was the later communication breakdown and lack of follow through that made an impact. This along with not clarifying that the initial quote would not change. This experience reinforces the importance of getting 3 bids for services not only for cost comparison but because at least one vendor will most likely flake. Good lesson learned. read more
