After trying to navigate their online portal, and getting frustrated I made my way to Yelp to see what else was out there, in hopes of finding something closer to home that would be less stressful. Enter Noyce Family Eye Care. All the reviews I saw online were raving, I confirmed they took my insurance, and I quickly made an appointment over the phone. It's super close to my house, and once I got there it was a very quick and seamless process to get checked in and seen by Dr. Noyce. She was incredibly kind and personable, and honestly, I'm just so happy I made the switch to this practice. I've only had one visit so far but I'm really optimistic about using this practice for my eye care needs moving forward.

I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

While the office is quite small, the people were personable and set a pleasant tone making my visit an overall good experience. Dr. Gupta was professional and efficient in administering my eye exam. Most importantly, she was experienced enough to double check when I answered questions differently than she expected, and she was also comfortable explaining that I don't wear my glasses enough when my contacts are out. I will go back again when I need a new prescription.

The initial exam was went smoothly and Dr. Gupta was very friendly and thorough when going over my exam results with me. However, I had some problems adjusting to the new prescription and when I came back a few days later Dr. Gupta was very understanding and listened to my issues.I showed up without an appointment and she was still able to help me out and promptly rechecked my prescription. She explained everything and allowed me to test the new prescription before I updated my glasses which was exteremely reassuring. Overall I enjoyed my experience and Dr. Gupta's knowledge and patience made me confident that my eyes are healthy and that I will be seeing clearly.

I'm so happy with my purchase from here and would highly recommend this place to anyone! I love wearing my glasses at night while I'm getting ready for bed so that I can fall asleep easier. The glasses do a fantastic job at blocking blue light. And they look great too! I now have a regular pair of glasses for everyday use and an amber-tinted pair that I wear before bed every night. So it was alarming up front how uncomfortable they were answering questions. They seemed surprised I wanted to know more than someone should call me at some time in the future, to let me know they would some day do something for some unknown amount of money. Knowing the markups in question I insisted on at least knowing how much we were talking about for a set of replacement lenses. They begrudgingly came up with a price of $600 dollars. When I asked to confirm that was just for replacement lenses they again wouldn't answer and just dropped the price by $150. Their markup was that high they could cut that much off and still be fine. Which they were apparently more comfortable with than just answering my question, or really any questions. I opted to go else where.

Okay, I have to say that the Brookside Optical shops, of which there are three, are very pretty,…read morehave a wonderful selection of designer (expensive) frames, and very helpful staff. Many of the frames are hip and trendy, but you can also find a more conservative look there if you want. The young man at the Prairie Village location was knowledgeable and very nice, and I had a generally good experience there. My big beef about these shops is their design. The closest you can get to a big mirror is about six to eight feet because they are all behind the counters. I want to see myself in a big, well-lit mirror from a variety of distances and angles. They also have small mirrors on the counter tops, but that is really not that helpful because we don't view the world through a 9 x 12 inch oval. I am both near and far sighted, so I had a hard time getting a good view of myself in the big mirrors that were so far away. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks about eyeglass shopping this way, but it's something I've noticed recently. I've been obsessively shopping for new frames because I really want to change my look. I've been to dozens of shops in the KC metro and even Lawrence. I'm amazed at how many shops have small, poorly lit and/or inaccessible mirrors. If I'm going to spend $500 to $1200 on new lenses and frames that I will wear on my face every day, I sure as heck want to be able to see myself clearly before making a decision.
