I mention this as the handle was about 0.325 inches diameter solid soft brass. It was too long and I needed it shorter. Instead of using a hack saw to cut and sand it myself, I thought to take it to a place that has things setup, the stuff in place, and he can easily cut it. I found him in the business center while I was having somee other work done by another shop. Terry charged me $60 for that 1 cut. Something anyone could have done in about 5-15 minutes, without the setup!. He said, well its hard to get everything right, bla, bla, bla , when I asked why such a high price. His answers were unfounded. Its not like he coated the brass with SS finish, lol. Years later I needed a number of large thick walled posts cut down from 12ft to a shorter length. I made sure not to bother with JayTech. I found a shop on Plummer, off of Desoto and they took these heavy steel posts about 5" in diameter and made the cuts for the same price on 3 pieces of what this guy changed me on a single, less than half inch soft metal. Clean, nice work. I am sure JayTech does decent work, but is as decent a BS ripoff. If he didn't want to do it, or he doesn't deal with cutting, etc he could have just said so, or direct me to someplace that does cut, etc. I have worked around such fabrication shops, and to this day , I wont forget what a rip-off this guy was for him to take advantage. Its not the $ per-say, its the way he went about it. He withheld any idea of what it would cost when I asked before hand, and then did the work, and wanted $60. ...lol...funny now.

A day later Mitch came over for an inspection and estimate. He listened to our concerns, gave good advice, and worked with our specific needs. We opted for the mesh covering on top to keep the gutters clean. Not only do the gutters look beautiful on the house, but we just had a heavy rain storm, and the water flow was perfect. I highly recommend So Cal Sheet Metal for rain gutters. The installers are company employees (not subcontractors). They arrived at the time predicted, and texted when they were half an hour away. They were efficient and pleasant to have around. The team works beautifully together and are very tidy. They were done within the time predicted (the job took several hours). From the first phone call through the whole process we found everyone at So Cal Sheet Metal to be responsive and caring. Great price, too! I have already given their contact info to a family friend who is considering new rain gutters.

At our appointment, Mitch came prepared with samples and color chips, and talked me through the process and what would be best for the house. He even came back another time to show my husband samples because he wasn't able to be at the initial appointment. It took us a few weeks to decide and Mitch was patient and communicative the whole time. Once it came time for our install, his team worked diligently to get our gutters up and we love the way they look! They custom cut the gutters to your roof so it's pretty seamless and the color and shape we chose look great with our house. We are so happy we went with SoCal Sheet Metal and highly recommend to anyone who needs this work done. They are also very well priced for what you get!

I highly recommend this welding company! From the very beginning, my experience working with Kelsey…read moreand her husband, Dave, was excellent. Kelsey was always quick to respond and attentive to my needs. She handled everything from scheduling the job to providing a clear breakdown of the pricing before any work began. Their prices were more than fair, transparent, and straightforward, which made me feel very comfortable hiring them. Dave came to my home twice. During the first visit, he took the time to understand exactly what I wanted done and explained the process he would use to complete the work. On his second visit, he arrived with his assistant and all the necessary materials to get the job done. The work was originally estimated to take approximately four hours, but Dave completed everything in less than two hours, and the results exceeded my expectations. He did an outstanding job at an excellent price. The work included installing two springs on my pool-area gates, realigning three gates, and repairing and welding a fence panel that had broken away from the main section. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the workmanship, the professionalism, the communication, or the price. It's refreshing to find a company that is honest, responsive, efficient, and takes pride in doing quality work. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality welding services!
