I thought I had a nail in tire after I had to put air in it twice. Took car back to tire shop. No nail. Guy showed me where my wheel (rim) was cracked! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I came in because my car had been shaking while driving and wanted to get my wheels checked out. The guy briefly looked at each wheel--10 minutes total and ultimately couldn't identify what was causing the issue. He then came back and told me it would be $25 per wheel for time he spent looking at them. He charged me $100 for just checking my wheels, where any other place will do it for free!!! I had a slow leak in one of my tires, losing about 1psi every other day. I got the low tire warning light 2 weeks after I had just aired it up. So I thought I'd have the local tire shop check it out. They pulled the tire off and showed me I had a dent and crack in my rim. I was leaving for San Francisco that day and needed to either purchase a new rim or get it fixed the same day. Just got back from Aleman welding , Dennis and team did great work on my rear wheel on my 2013 Grand Sport Corvette. I had hit a pothole and dented it pretty good. Dennis put the wheel on a dial indicator and we noticed the outer lip dent was not the only issue. The inside barrel and entire wheel was way out of round. Dennis worked his magic and and straighten the entire wheel without much effort. I had a job done recently on my rim and they did a horrible job that my rim cracked right where it was repaired recently.
