Driving in LA you're bound to run into a pothole (or 10). I had a slow leak coming out of my tires - I initially thought it was a punctured tire - but it ended up being a cracked rim. I thought I had a nail in tire after I had to put air in it twice. Took car back to tire shop. No nail. Guy showed me where my wheel (rim) was cracked! I've always been crazy careful with pot holes driving around SF Valley, but I guess it was only a matter of time. I figured I'd just buy a new wheel. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I came in because my car had been shaking while driving and wanted to get my wheels checked out. The guy briefly looked at each wheel--10 minutes total and ultimately couldn't identify what was causing the issue. He then came back and told me it would be $25 per wheel for time he spent looking at them. He charged me $100 for just checking my wheels, where any other place will do it for free!!! I had a slow leak in one of my tires, losing about 1psi every other day. I got the low tire warning light 2 weeks after I had just aired it up. So I thought I'd have the local tire shop check it out. They pulled the tire off and showed me I had a dent and crack in my rim. I was leaving for San Francisco that day and needed to either purchase a new rim or get it fixed the same day. Luckily I found Aleman Welding. The owner was prompt with messaging and told me they had immediate availability. I packed my truck for our trip and took off straight to Aleman. Just got back from Aleman welding , Dennis and team did great work on my rear wheel on my 2013 Grand Sport Corvette. I had hit a pothole and dented it pretty good. Dennis put the wheel on a dial indicator and we noticed the outer lip dent was not the only issue. The inside barrel and entire wheel was way out of round. Dennis worked his magic and and straighten the entire wheel without much effort. Fantastic Father/Son run business. Affordable. Highly recommended. They can even refer you to a wheel painting outfit associate if your wheels are too far gone after being grind-ed.
