We need a railing for a fairly steep and twisty concrete stair from the street up to the porch of our newly constructed home. I worked with Hovo, who was professional and knowledgeable and who always returned my calls promptly. He did what he said he would. Their iron craftsmanship is solid. We are delighted with our new railing! read more

King Iron Works - Finishing the work on our new railing. - Metal Fabricators Near Me - Sun Valley, California

We've had a lot of contractors and so-called craftsmen at our house since we started renovations on our 1924 house in Silver Lake a few years ago. We're trying to restore how the house might have looked at the beginning of the 20th century after countless bad decisions & poor "improvements" by previous owners, which actually made the house look like a sick mutt. Unfortunately, not very many of these "experts" we've had round have been much use at realizing our dream. Many rows and arguments later it got to the point where I wasn't trusting anyone in LA to do a good job. But we needed a railing on the front steps (a previous owner had obviously thought it would be a good idea to dismantle the original steps and remove the old iron railings). After much research we found king ironworks. Thank god we did. I gave them a raft of photos I'd taken of a old 1920s railing on a house down the street & king managed to copy it exactly. It's thick, heavy (it took three men to carry it up the steps) metal and looks like it has been sat on our front steps for 100 years, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve. read more

Someone from King Iron came to my house to discuss my project. I wanted a gate and fencing for my phase 1. He said he would get me the drawings in a couple of days. It is now about 3 weeks and haven't heard a word from him or seen a drawing. If a company changes their mind about doing work for you the least they should do is let you know. It is unkind for a company to know they made a promise to a person and then just decided not to work for them and not tell them. The company has to know that the person is losing a lot of time in not calling another company until they figure out the company is never going to keep their promise. I wasted time thinking I would hear from them. I have given up on King Iron Works. I'm moving on and hoping that the next iron works company not only does quality work but has good work ethics and good manners. read more

Wow! These guys are awesome! Hovo and his Dad are truly the nicest and most professional in this business. As a woman I felt extremely comfortable and safe. They are extremely punctual and pay attention to detail. If I could give them ten stars I would. We needed protection grilles for our 19 windows and a balcony railing. Within a couple of days we had our estimate, and within the next week they returned and took measurements. We were afraid that the house would look like a jail but their unique and elegant design made it more like a decorative piece for our windows than just protection bars. Hovo and his designer came up with custom design with cool accents by the first try. Believe me, their iron craftsmanship is stunning, solid, and second to none. The grilles fit the windows perfectly and have brought our house value up (no joke). Great customer service, competitive prices, and absolutely amazing work....you won't find better guys to help you with gates, grilles, railings, balconies, etc. I highly recommend Hovo and his team 1000%!!! Thank you guys for awesome work! :) I will post images soon... read more

Arin the Owner is a great Guy, and his Team does great work. Quality is high, and pricing is fair. The only advice that I'd give to new clients is to agree on a firm finish date, especially if you're not a contractor. They can get pretty busy, as their work is in high demand. read more

Had this company build an iron entry gate for my courtyard. They built it from a design concept that I brought to them. Craftsmanship of the finished product was excellent. Completely exceeded my expectations. The installation was superb. These guys know what they are doing, and they do it right. Highly recommend them. read more

I cannot express how fantastic this team is to work with when I had the need to build a steel framed pergola. Hovo helped me design the structure, came to the house several times to confirm the process, and built an amazing structure at a great price. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them. They're honest, on time, and deliver beyond expectations. read more

Not one to leave negative reviews, so I still give them 3 stars... however, I got 3 quotes for the same job. Theirs were significantly higher... more than double the price. Stay competitive with the market. With that being said though, your value to customer may be higher than your typical iron work location. Just for me, I was looking for good work at a price that I could afford. read more

It's not even worth 1 star. Called for an estimate to replace a 5 foot piece of metal railing. My first estimate was $2230.00. After questioning this price I was told that they made a mistake and the new price was 1230.00. Called Zeus ironworks and they fixed it the same day for $$$150.00. Looks like new. Don't hire this outfit. What a ripoff!!!! You will be disappointed read more

After reading such glowing reviews about King Iron Works, I decided to call them regarding a security window guard. I did so and sent pics of what I would like on the 14th of March. They sent me an estimate and I in turn sent them the signed contract along with a deposit on the 22nd of March. They originally told me it would take a week. I told them that I was going out of town on the 5th of April for 2.5 weeks and would like it installed by the 4th if possible. Nothing happened. I returned from my trip on the 22nd and called them that day to find out when the unit would be installed figuring it had to be ready and awaiting installation. They called back and said it would be installed on May 2nd. This was 10 days from my call. This tells me that they had not even started working on my project and I got it confirmed when they called me on May 1st asking me what color I wanted it painted. Needless to say, I was disappointed. What was supposed to take a week, took 6 weeks. They finally came on the 2nd of May and installed the window guard. After they left, I took a closer look and discovered it was not level. They had to come back and make adjustments. Then I took a closer look at the paint job and see that they just spray painted it and apparently did not even clean off the metal as there were a lot of specks that were spray painted over. While the office personel were nice, I was overall disappointed with the timing (lack of communication), installation and paint job. The design of the window guard, however, was very well done although I had asked that the wrought iron be tubular (rounded) and not flat. That apparently never got communicated to the design folks as I got flat. read more

I needed an unusual fence; I hate straight bars (like a jail), and saw one (a neighbor) that had curvey lines, like a fence. Sent King Iron Works a picture, and they duplicated it very nicely. They were a bit late installing it (a day or two) but knocked another $100 off the price, which was great. Bottom line, the fence is so solid and perfect, I love it. They were the best price, so, what more do you want? read more

I highly recommend King Iron Works. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. They responded immediately to our inquiry and began work shortly afterwards. King Iron Works helped install a new wrought iron staircase railing in our condo unit and did a great job! We worked with Hovo, who was really great about returning calls promptly and setting up visits in a timely manner. More than once he braved awful traffic after regular work hours to come by our place and talk with us about the project. He was honest about what was feasible for our condo and we never felt he was trying to upsell us in any way. Plus, we really love how the railings turned out! Would definitely recommend! read more

Amazing work from them. I got a custom design for what should be a standard price. Great customer service and people. Fantastic!

I was driving by this business and noticed all of the iron work on the front of the building. I stopped in and spoke to Paolo, who was very informative. I commissioned King to make an iron railing. The meeting with Arin went really well and he worked with me to make a design that was in my budget. The railing was installed yesterday and it is amazing! They really went the extra mile to ensure that I was happy and that it was perfect. They even modified the railing on the spot to fill in a gap next to the wall. read more

Impressive! The quality is there, the customer service is amazing and I did not have to overpay. The customary options are amazing and you really feel like you get your very own product. We called King Iron Works to get an iron rail mounted on our front steps. They did an outstanding job from beginning to end. They consulted with us on design options and listened carefully to all our requests. They were friendly and knowledgeable and had many helpful suggestions. The design process included several visits to our house to make sure the design met our needs and would match with the rest of our entryway and yard. The installation and final product were beautiful. None of our gardening or brickwork were marred. The rail is as solid as a rock and provides a steady handhold for anyone coming up our steps, which was the whole point. And we were astonished at the reasonable cost. We would recommend them to anyone. read more

Mr Hovo and his team is just wonderful. Such a nice guy, down to earth, always smiling, and super professional. We hired them for iron accents for windows and railings. He brought amazing design ideas and catalogs for us to choose from. Once we narrowed down the design, he made several different 3D color prints of design overlays to help us pick out the right design for our house. He then created an actual sample to show us what the end product would be. We were blown away with the quality of material and the intricacy of design elements...total work of art! Every step of the way he exceeded our expectations. Hire these guys and with their 5-star rating you can be rest assured that you will get high quality work without compromises or excuses. Really enjoyed working with Mr Hovo and plan to work with him again in future!! read more
