We reached out to several different businesses for a welding repair on our patio chair. Tom from United iron Works responded within 30 minutes and gave us a very reasonable quote. He let us know he could get the repair done within 2-3 days and was great at letting us know the repair date and time. Tom even picked up the chair and took it to the shop and dropped it off once it was finished, which was a huge bonus! We highly recommend United Iron Works and Tom and will definitely go back to them in the future! read more

Tom and the crew at United Iron works did a great job. They replaced a damaged handrail and completed some metal fabrication work for me. Communication was easy, they showed up when they said they would, and the finished work came out great. Everything looks solid, clean, and professionally done. It's hard to find contractors that are reliable and take pride in their work, but these guys did exactly that. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. read more

Tom replied to my request for a trailer hitch modification and even went so far as to send me a diagram of what he had in mind. While it was something totally different than I had envisioned, his reasoning and justification were so logical. I decided to go with him and I am so thankful that I did. The trailer hitch modification that he created for me went far beyond anything I had envisioned and is likely far stronger than the rest of my trailer. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this company. read more

I hired this Gentleman through my friend referral. He did a gate maintenance for me and we negotiated for some easy job. I sent him $400 deposit and he said me that he will finish it soon. This soon is now close to 4 months. He did not return the deposit or finish the job. He set time to do the job in last 5 weeks for two times and he did not show up or respond to my phone calls and messages. I talked with my friend and he asked me to write review. read more

I want to shout out to Tom Nields of United Iron Works. Our HOA had been living with an extreemly Heavy Gate, with multiple problems. Contacted Tom, He was up front and professional from Top to bottom , unterstood the HOA needed to have homeowners vote on the job, and did a great job, more direct and effiecnt that the HOA has had in over 20 years with this Heavy, Heavy did I say heavy Gate Welding Job. He was in constant contact, and We knew what to expect every inch of the way. If the need comes up I would go with him in a heartbeat. read more

Tom and Fernando did a truly beautiful job refinishing our flagstone patio deck, fireplace and BBQ. I value the detail and time Tom took to plan and manage the job. Tom took his time to video the area and determine how best to tackle the job. The deck is quite large and very curvy and was in desperate need of some TLC. Not to mention, we have furniture and toys that had to be moved. The first day they power washed the area and addressed several cracks. That alone made a huge difference. Then they returned to section off the flagstone, etc. They spent the last two days applying two coats of the sealer. This was a 4 day job and well worth the time and money. Would not hesitate in the least bit to recommend Tom. read more

This is only my second review for services rendered so this is not a regular thing for me. I made the choice to go with United Iron Works because of the many positive reviews on Yelp. I hope my review can be helpful to another homeowner trying to make an expensive decision. In my mind there are four main concerns when choosing a contractor: fair price, quality of work, cooperation of contractor, on-time completion. Jesse is United Iron Works. As the owner, he was my contact. He is knowledgeable, easy to work with, meticulous, a good communicator, and always available. His crew is also knowledgeable and took time to answer my questions throughout the job. I feel we paid a fair price for the project. United's bid was the middle of three and less than half the first bid we got- for the exact same equipment. We are very pleased with the overall project. The fence, double driveway gates, and pedestrian gate look great! The electronic equipment is very sophisticated and Jesse spent time explaining "how to". As it turned out we had a scheduling concern and added a section of fence not included in the original bid. Jesse completed work on each segment of the project on time as planned. He met two completion dates. I would refer my best friend to United Iron Works. Jesse is so easy to work with and the finished project stands out on a street with several gated properties. read more

I needed some aluminum plates machined, and they were super helpful and very quick. Also a great value!

Can't say enough great things about Jesse and his team. My neighbors and I were desperately trying to find a reliable service that was decently priced, but these days with inflation it's nearly impossible. We needed a gate put up in our communal driveway to prevent random people from using our alley as a shortcut. For a month we had estimate after estimate but were unable to find one that didn't cost an arm and a leg. We just wanted a simple iron gate nothing fancy. Thanks to Yelp I found them. Communication and response time was great! They came and took measurements. They gave a very reasonable quote and reassured us that the price wouldn't change. We gave them a down payment and they started working on fabricating the gate right away. Once completed they came and started working. They were able to get the gate installed in a day and a half which was amazing! The gate exceeded our expectations. We're looking forward to working with them again to put up another gate on the other side of our alley in the near future. Would definitely recommend them hands down! read more

Huge shout out to United Iron Works. We had a small emergency on my grandfathers Main home entrance, an old irod rod door that the outer metal piece that secrures the "latch" we could not get the door to close it just hanged without closing. After a quick phone call and texting pics of the repair work, we set up a same day repair within the hour. A new metal piece was quickly welded on teh strike palte and resinforced, order had been restored. I did call two other welders and they came way over estiamte that United Iron Works provided. 5 Stars, extremly happy. Our fence was damaged by the Santa Ana winds and we were looking for a repair. United Iron Works not only gave us the best price of anyone we contacted, they also suggested reinforcing it with metal posts to prevent this from happening again. I needed some small stair railings and gates at my rental. I wanted it to be simple but provide safety and security. Jesse patiently worked with me on the dimensions needed with explanations for the details. It all turned out better than I even expected. He noticed that my brick walls for the gates were slightly loose and offered to attach with angle irons to wall for added strength at no extra cost. And I also added springs to shut the gates. He came back and installed the reinforcements and soft gate closure mechanism. I couldn't be happier with the service received from Jesse and United Iron Works! read more

Even went out of his way to help a neighbor who came to watch move heavy equipment for free. This company went above and beyond. FIVE STARS for sure to them. read more

I used Yelp's "free price estimate" to get multiple quotes. The gate to our driveway fell off last week and I needed it to be reinstalled as quickly as possible for safety and privacy purposes. Out of the 10 estimate requests, only 3 would do a reinstall. The rest said they would build a new gate, but that's not what I wanted. Of the other 3, Jesse's was the best price. When I called, he was courteous, had no problems setting up a time over the phone, and he offered a no contact payment. We confirmed the evening before, and when he finished, he texted along with pictures, and I used Zelle to pay him. Thanks to Jesse, our gate is back up, his work is warrantied, and the process was stress-free. I highly recommend United Iron Works! read more
