I love my rollator, but when I first got it I had to bend down uncomfortably to use it even though I had it adjusted to the tallest setting. I saw that the metal rods had extra space on them so if I could just get two holes drilled in them then it would be the perfect height for me. But who does such things? I went to Home Depot because I didn't know where else to go and they told me they do not do that and they suggested that I call local metal work companies. I found Brady Sheet Metal on Yelp and called them. The guy who answered the phone said that's not something that they normally do, but I think he heard the desperation in my voice and told me to stop by and he would see if he could help me. I immediately drove to the store and after he discussed the project with a couple other people, he said they would help me out! What a prayer answered! I was able to pick up my rollator the next day and the holes that they added to the metal rods were at the perfect height for me. I have now been able to comfortably use my rollator for the past several years (yes, it's taken me almost 3 years to write this review, oops!) and I will be forever indebted to Brady Sheet Metal. I had high hopes for Brady Sheet Metal going into a project for a $10mm residential new home construction in Pacific Palisades. Our design firm was looking for a new sheet metal fabricator. Our long time relationship with a different provider had soured and we needed somebody good with a lot of experience. Steve (owner) was very knowledgeable and pleasant on our intro call and seemed eager to work with us, so we scheduled a meeting for the following week. Fantastic! Steve has been in the business for 40+ years, so we were confident we found the right people. All seemed great until it was time to show up. Steve was 90 minutes late to our appointment...ok, not a big deal in construction where sub-contractors are routinely late. Steve was apologetic and gave all indications that he wanted the job and would get back to us with a proposal. 1 week later I called for a follow up and again Steve stated he was working on our proposal. That was 3 weeks ago and I have received zero correspondence since that call. Apparently 40 years in the business and they haven't learned how to communicate professionally. A simple "sorry, we must decline the job due to..." would have been sufficient to preserve any chance of working together on other future projects, however, Steve, made us look like schmucks to our clients. Unacceptable. We got the job done in a few days with someone else that doesn't have half the pedigree Steve does, yet 1000% more integrity and professionalism. Perhaps business is so good for them that they can afford to brush off potentially valuable relationships, however, most people would see that as short sighted and foolish. I would give them 5 stars but they've forgotten to give me quotes before making the parts and sometimes you have to check in because the deadlines change with no update. I started a small business during covid and Bradys sheet metal has been my go the last 8 months- until they saw the car I drove... commented it was a nice car and in the SAME SENTENCE told me they were raising their prices. They raised their price 50%. :( I'm a small business I had no choice because I have clients depending on me in the interim of finding a different place to get my trays made- when I went to pick up the order...the guy commented on my car again and I said yes last time you said that you raised my prices 50%. It was so uncomfortable and especially to make that kind of judgement based on my car when I'm out working really hard and have no choice but to use my "nice car" as a work truck. - so my advice if you want a fair honest price. don't let them see your car. other than that they do great work but unfortunately my small business can't afford to be taken advantage of. read more

I had paid for, ordered, and was promised 30 feet of metal coping (which is a very simple order). I was told it would be done the next day (afternoon). I called the next morning simply to check on the ETA and the lady that they have working there was extremely rude and said the gentleman that took my order was not in and to not expect it today. I told her that I had already paid for everything in full and was promised that it would be done by the afternoon. (Which is why I decided to use this company to begin with). She absolutely didn't care, continued to raise her voice, cut me off, and handed the phone over to another gentlemen that was slightly more professional but still made no promise of having my order completed. Rude, overpriced, and unprofessional. Will never use their services again. read more

Brady Sheet Metal came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint. I was working on a small project, building a custom camera stand. It involved the cutting, bending, shaping, and drilling of heavy gauge metal. The shop worked off of designs I prepared in Illustrator and produced spot-on results. Even though I agreed to do some of the welding and finishing to save costs, they went ahead and did it anyway as a favor. And the costs could not be beat. Craig Brady is the owner of this great sheet metal shop in Burbank and provides the service and the attention to detail I expect from an small independent shop. I needed to have perforated metal panels welded to my driveway gates to prevent my dog from climbing out of the back yard. When he came to the house to take measurements he suggested materials and finishes and showed me a sample. We discussed security latches and exchanged different ideas on available options. Ultimately, he added specific hardware to my specifications and the latch is exactly how I wanted the gate to be secured. One panel had to be welded on site but the hinged panels were picked-up first thing in the morning by his professional and courteous employees and the finished product was in place by the end of the day. His price was competitive but his personal attention to this relatively small job was outstanding. I give the company an A+++ for customer service. read more

I'm giving a 1 star because of poor lack of follow up. I had contacted this company many months ago and was instructed by the female employee who answered the phone to email the specs of my job. This was done with no follow up. I then called again and spoke with one of the main guys ( I want to say the owner, but not sure) and again sent another email. I was told he would get back to me with some preliminary sketches. However, never heard back. It's a small job, I get it, but I would rather have them tell me "thanks, but no thanks, the job is too small." I has a custom welding job i needed help with and selected Brady from Yelp. I asked them to wled two small cooling ducts to a brake dust shield on a track car. I provided all the parts and just needed their metal cutting and welding skills to get it done. Their work was top notch and worked with my requests. The only reason for 4/5 is the time it took to get the job done. After the first week I called and they had not started on the job, at the end of the 2nd week I had not heard from them, called and they said they'd start today and have it ready tomorrow. So great! I called because I was getting a new dryer delivered the next day and realized that the rigid air duct behind was not long enough. It was a custom size so the big box stores couldn't help.
