However, note the following: Packing and moving services were both utilized. Representative came to review primary location of belongings to be moved (approx. 90-95% of the total) and was provided with a detailed video of the remaining items, stored at a different location. Despite this upfront information, (a) the total weight was significantly in excess of the estimated amount, resulting in damage to the transport vehicle and a 2-day delay, and (b) at the secondary location the supervisor informed us that there was insufficient room for everything. He had to be cajoled and convinced into making the extra effort... which proved effective and successful. A number of bookcases were damaged during while handling and required subsequent repair, at our expense. One item was a tool cabinet containing a variety of hand tools, hardware, and the like. The crew's solution to this was to simply wrap and seal the cabinet in plastic, and put it in the truck. By the time it was in place at the destination, we found that the contents were in utter chaos, luckily with minimal breakage. Some softbound oversized books were placed in boxes haphazardly or sloppily, resulting in significant creasing of wide swaths of pages. A few items additional appear to have gone missing (none of particular value) and a small number of items were broken. Overall I would in fact recommend their services, particularly in consideration of the pricing, but I would strongly recommend that if you contact them for packing services that these be closely and carefully supervised.

We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

Disappointing Experience - Be Cautious if You're a Young Couple…read more Many people recommended Best Guy for our move from New York to Israel, so we hired them. The original quote was for under 200 cubic feet. After packing at our apartment, it jumped to 300, and once it reached the warehouse, it increased again to 400 -- double the original estimate. We had even signed a document stating the total wouldn't exceed 20% above the quote, yet it went far beyond that. To his credit, Guy did split the difference with us, which we appreciated, but the process was inconsistent and stressful. When our shipment arrived, around 25 books, my college diploma, and other items were damaged -- clearly from poor packing, not transport. The loss was just under $1,000, yet we were only offered $150 as "goodwill," and later $75 more after we involved a lawyer. Guy was friendly, but overall the experience was disappointing. Other young couples we know had similar issues with inaccurate quotes. If you have a big household move, Best Guy may be fine, but for smaller shipments or young couples, look elsewhere.

Not only did they not arrive on the arranged pick up date after multiple changes in the pick up time frame, they then delayed the delivery of our daughter's belongings on the other end. They were supposed to arrive on Wednesday July 15th with a window between 9-12 pm. Then it became 1-3 pm. The driver called to say they were a half hour away. At 4:30 pm I called them only to be told that they were an hour and a half away and had broken down. Honestly, I don't think they had ever planned on arriving on Wednesday 7/15. Finally on Thursday 7/16 they showed up to our house with a UHAUL truck. Not a commercial Premiere Moving truck, a UHAUL. They finally arrived and loaded up the UHAUL, borrowing a strap from my husband (which by the way was never returned). They were on the road Thursday 7/16 by 11:00 am. After speaking with the driver on Friday afternoon he told me that their ETA would be Saturday 7/18 in the afternoon. He told me on the phone that he would contact me Saturday morning with the accurate time of delivery for Saturday. I finally called him at 12:45 pm after not hearing from him. They then said that they would arrive on Sunday afternoon, with no explanation as to why. When I told him that he had originally said that they would arrive Saturday afternoon, he denied ever saying that and that they would be there Sunday. They left CT on Thursday 7/16 at 10:54 am from our CT home in a UHAUL, not a commercial moving truck, so I don't think the 500 miles/day limit would necessarily apply in this case. I could be wrong but we got here in a day and a half, I would expect the same of them in a U-HAUL. Distance was 950 miles; 2 days easily. On Saturday (7/18) afternoon we get another call to let us know that the truck had broken down. AGAIN! Twice we got this excuse! They finally arrived on Sunday late afternoon at 4:30 pm, after many changes in the ETA, in a Penske truck! Our daughter's belongings were obviously removed from the original truck and were then repacked in a different truck. Luckily, the only missing item was a box fan and one broken picture frame. They obviously do not have any company trucks of their own and rely on rentals. This company is unreliable and they lie to their customers, holding the customer and their belongings hostage. Continually they kept adding on extra fees to the tune of almost $3000. When they finally arrived on Sunday late afternoon, we just wanted her things and for them to leave. She and I unwrapped all the furniture to get them out of her apartment. We were done with them and their excuses. And to top it off, Ali, the driver, is all smiles asking that we give them a good review! The audacity of it all! I immediately blocked all cell numbers associated with this move as to halt all communication with them. This was the most frustrating and worst experience that we've ever experienced from a moving company. They are the most dishonest and crooked company. There is nothing premiere about this company! Quite the polar opposite. We went with Safe Ship moving services (brokerage company for movers) because they offered us a military discount and offered us a competitive quote over several other reputable companies. But after all of these hassles not to mention Premiere's almost $3000 added extra costs, we are strongly questioning our choice. I also question their form of payment requests. The added cost that they told me was to be paid by Post Office money order that I could obtain at a Walmart, Venmo, or cash. No mention of a cashier's check. That is sketchy to say the least. We ultimately paid by cashier's check to be safe, from our bank, for reimbursement purposes & I certainly wasn't going to give them cash. That is not above board. That's tax evasion. This company is horrible and unethical in their business practices. We would never consider using them again! I would urge you to read their Yelp reviews online as this seems to be a pattern with them. Shame on me for not looking at Yelp first!
