My mom got the chicken tortilla soup and it was so flavorful and full of chicken, chips and corn. I got the chicken tinga tacos which came with crema sauce and topped with cheese.

I used to go regularly there but the last two times it was not very good and the prices they quoted me were then almost doubled when the bill came! The tacos were smaller with less filling than usual, and the guac and salsa were very stringy. The waitress told me they had a special lunch pricing for tacos of any kind. I asked her if two specific tacos they showed were included in that lunch special, she replied "Yes they are". Besides the aforementioned quality issues with the food, when the bill came the price was more than 50% higher than the special was priced at. I asked the waitress why. She said those two tacos were not included. I said to her, "You told me they were!?" She repeated "No they weren't" and she called someone from behind the counter over to the table. The situation was explained, the other person repeated "Sorry sir, they are not included" and didn't care that their waitress said they were (the waitress admitted she said that!) and they charged me full price despite the misinformation they gave me. No apology, no doing the right thing, nothing. I paid the bill, left, and have not been back. In summation: The food was so-so. The service was not good. The attitude was poor. And the price was a ripoff.

So I told him to cancel it since I can't pick it up and I guess i'm out $45 for nothing. Shocked with the attitude and just terrible customer service. Our drinks didn't come with straws so we had to go in and get straws in order to mix the gunk that was all the way at the bottom. 4. They ran out of mint, so after waiting for 10 minutes or more, they finally came back and said they can't make a mojito without mint. 5. The food came and we still didn't have our utensils, so we had to wait for the food runner to bring it to us. 6. We weren't the only ones waiting for service because the other couple had to go inside to pay the bill. 7. I finally went in so that I can get a box to go and ask for the check and they were no where to be found. Only two people were sitting at the bar. 8. They were a hot mess behind the bar that at one point they were so overwhelmed and overstimulated that they shut down. 9. I got my box and then after a while, the check came. We tried splitting it 3 way and they refused, so I said split it in half, it's fine, but did they? No, one was charged more than the other and now we had to figure out whatever they did. We go here several time a year and we never had this bartender. The lady that always takes good care of us wasn't in and she knows how to run it, unlike the person there today. Keep them and see how fast you lose your business.

The tacos al pastor are merely good, but the guacamole is excellent, as are the chorizo tacos and the tacos dorados, and then the mole poblano--WHAP, "Hijo, porque me pegas así?" It's homemade liquid brown magic with just a tiny hint of clove that sets it apart from every other mole I've ever had, and I'm talking about dozens. Served with hot corn tortillas, pure paraíso. Nice licuados, too.
