I went to Lucharitos today, it was very busy day. I realized right away that they were understaffed (while I sat outside) and I went inside and sat at the bar. I was waited on right away and the drinks and food did not disappoint. The staff was doing their best to keep up. Nasty customers not realizing how busy they were, were compensated. Not sure if I agree with the compensation, but again I was there as a customer and I was perfectly happy with my order. All employees were doing their best. read more

Dined in for lunch and had a great experience. Such a fun, bright place and I love how they have outdoor seating for the warmer weather. They have a nice menu with options for everyone. I went with a veggie burrito bowl that had rice, beans, lettuce, an assortment of veggies, pico, and guac. It came with some chips on the side. We've enjoyed the other Lucharitos locations, but we either have really bad luck here... or just dislike this location. My wife and I have been here twice, I'd give it a two star average rating. First time we ate here was a couple of years ago in the winter. It was busy, so service was a little slow because of that. It was also a little dirty, but that was probably a product of how busy it was. It's small on the inside and felt cramped. Drinks (margaritas) weren't too good and food was very mid. I'd probably give it a generous 3 stars because it was nothing special. Today we gave it another try because they've got a cute looking outside dining area, and a lot more seating in the summer. Parking is still tough, but manageable between their lot and a neighboring lot. However, our dining experience was GROSS. If they seat you at the two small tables right next to the hostess stand outside, ask to be moved. The table they sat us at often had strong wafts of SEWAGE smell coming from behind the fenced area we were sitting next to. Combined with the warm humid weather, it straight up smelled like we were eating atop a pile of other people's warm fecal matter. We regret not asking to move. We thought we could power through it and did make it through our meal. The food we got this time was pretty good... but the wafts of poop smell really put a damper on things. We were spared somewhat with a breeze that would periodically roll in from the south (direction of the parking lot and street) which I guess would blow the smell away towards the other diners outside. It was decently busy, but our service felt slow with that in mind. 1 hour after dining there and we still had the pungent odor stuck in our nostrils and both of us feel pretty ill from it until we got home and bathed. I hope this smell isn't a normal thing there. Whatever it is, they really should get it fixed. Unfortunately after today, we won't be coming back to this location. read more

Three stars is for the ambiance. They have a very large outdoor space with picnic tables, cushioned couches, lawn space, lawn games, kids play things, and even a little animal farm. It sounded like they have music on the weekends too. The inside was pretty small, so definitely somewhere to enjoy when there's nice weather. Frozen margaritas with fruit purée of your choice were great on a hot day! The food, however, was not great. We ordered the bbq pulled pork nachos and while they looked great and photographed well, I was not impressed. The pulled work was maybe lukewarm and we were left with a bunch of chips with no toppings (my biggest complaint with nachos). They also use cheese sauce, which is not my preference as the chips get soggy so fast. The portion is pretty large though and good to share. Service was not great. We came on a Friday afternoon and I think the bartender was also our waiter. He barely checked on us and didn't bring out the water I asked for when first ordering. We had to go up to the outdoor bar to ask for our check. They have an ice cream truck open after 4:30pm. I'd come back for happy hour drinks and to hang out in the outdoor space. Wouldn't choose this place when specifically looking for good Mexican food though. They have a small parking lot and offer to go orders. read more

Went last night because we got an email about price fix. Our waitress, Lauren was the spunkiest most upbeat friendly person we have ever met! She made our entire dining experience 10x better just with her bright attitude! We sat inside, again very bright and cheery, so colorful and vibrant. Even though the place is small you don't feel cramped. Our food was delicious! I have no pictures but I would personally recommend the Chicken Luchita... it's their take on a fajita and it was cooked perfectly. Comes with rice, guacamole, beans and sour cream! So good! Without a doubt 10/10 from me! Visited Lucharitos earlier today for the first time and I highly recommend any locals or out of town folks to visit. Got there bright and early and thought that it wouldn't be too busy to get some grub but I was wrong. I arrived there at a perfect time and sat by the bar and ordered myself a nice cold brew. I started my journey with their Thai Chili chicken wings. Smokey, crispy and flavorful wings! Definitely recommend the Thai chili and also request extra sauce just to get the full flavor. 10/10 must try again! And for my mains I ordered not 1 but 3 of their shrimp tacos. Mouth full of goodness. 2 tortillas are stacked together with shrimp and their house salsa, works perfectly! The shrimps were perfectly cooked with this smokey, charred and perfectly seasoned flavor. My wife and I were going to be in the Moriches area last Sunday so we decided to check out Lucharitos in Center Moriches. We have been to the greenport and aquebogue locations before and enjoyed the food. I checked google and their website to confirm their hours. Both said they are open until 8pm. Perfect. Got there at 7:01pm and was told they were no longer seating tables, but that I could order drinks from the bar. I could understand not being seated if we had gotten there at 7:45, (not that I would go to a place that close to when they are closing) but an hour before they close? That's ridiculous. If you stop seating that early, it should be noted on your website. Or perhaps, close at 7 instead. After having good experiences at other locations I was surprised to be so disappointed. Ultimately we had to find a different place to get dinner. read more

If I had half a brain to look at my food before I left, there's no way I would have driven home with this, but after a long day out I wasn't really thinking about it. We have loved lucharitos since before they came to our town. When they did we would do take out and dine in. Everything is always excellent. My kids love the side order or shrimp and rice. My only small complaint is sometimes it's hard to order since it's not exactly normal to most that answer the phone. Usually it's 5 shrimp for $5 according to the first few times we order it, but many get confused by this order and we can get charged random amounts at times or get less shrimp (I order ten shrimp since both boys eat 4-5). We order this twice a month at least so it can get frustrating . It's excellent food so we keep coming back. The wings are amazing as are the burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, and everything else !!!!! read more

Who doesn't love a great taco and amazing nachos? I do! I first discovered the Lucharitos in Greenport randomly on an off-season day gallivanting around this beautiful little village. Rave reviews and I drove there specifically because the food was so great. Enter their Center Moriches location, which is a little closer to me. It's smaller than the Greenport location but wow, the food was just as amazing My first experience was their nachos and an array of tacos at Greenport but the server recommended the duck nachos as his favorite for next time and boy was he right. Actually, I don't think you could go wrong with any of their nachos. We ordered an array of tacos at both locations, shrimp, pork, fish, and all were good. The staff at both locations was very attentive and for a smaller location (that was packed -- just goes to show you how good they are!), we didn't feel rushed or that quality was sacrificed. We used to go there so the family could enjoy the garden and sand area and kids stuff, sadly it's all nasty and sort of destroyed there's no garden everything's broken. The taste of the food is good, but we got 3 burritos and wings and it came to $120. We got 2 steak burritos and both had about 2 pieces of steak, no queso which it said it had and one had no avocado. Chips are supposed to come on the side and 1 of the burritos had none, and the other 2 had about 5 chips each. The quesadillas were tasty and were good portions as well. The chips, however, were terribly bad. Although the bag of chips were generous, they are inedible due to how stale they were. The food was excellent. I had picked 3 tacos and my wife picked 2 and they were all great. Chicken was a tad under-seasoned but based on the rest of the food it must been a fluke. Our waitress was fantastic. It's such a cute little place to relax and enjoy one of their specialty drinks and some great food which appeared to be sliced mostly locally. The weather wasn't perfect the day we went but it looks like the late spring/summer weekend are probably pretty busy. They have cornhole, volleyball, a wonderful outdoor seating area. My favorite mexi spot!! LOCATION: on main street, across from the beer distributor. DECOR: inside is small, but cute. Outdoors is it's best feature - lots of seating, cornhole and live music some days in the summer. FOOD: Favorites are any of their tacos, wings (super juicy, crispy n saucey), beef empenadas, beef nachos, and the burritos (huge). Generous portion sizes for all, but u do get what u pay for... Pricing is a bit high, however the quality of the food is high, and the atmosphere in the summer is so nice, so again - you get what you pay for. DRINK: margaritas are always my go to. Delicious! SERVICE: staff is always friendly. I would have given 5 stars, but I don't agree with the takeout "service fee". The food prices are high to begin with, but I feel part of the reason is also the exprience when dining there (having yard games and live music). Lucharitos will be a one and done for me. I am giving the 2 stars for service only. My wife loves Mexican and wanted to leave after the drinks and appetizers that says it all. Drinks Margaritas came out so strong they were i drinkable and were left 3/4 full. Sat us outside next to the Hostess. Tables sticky seats are as uncomfortable as could be. Empanadas were ehhh green sauce that came with it still has us confused as to what it was. Beef tacos ... the ground beef resembled Taco Bell. Fish taco was sooo salty and over loaded with red cabbage. Cheese quesadilla bland cheese wasn't melted and somehow dry pieces of chicken ended up mixed in and was also left behind . The rice tasted like a mixture of Uncle Bens and Ricearoni. Sorry have no idea why this place is so highly recommended.. there is nothing that even resembles authentic Mexican food.
