3years ago, I loved Meso, gave them an outstanding review, and told many about it. Today, I returned after a year or so and was really disappointed. The service was good, the ambiance is lovely, and the food was alright. I ordered the chicken quesadillas which came with guacamole and a relish type side that was tasty. The quesadillas were seasoned well, but were a little greasy. My mojito was super weak! Also, when we were paying, they offered a QR code, but you have to manually input your credit card information. No thanks. Then, when I asked for a container of the sauce to go with my left overs, they wanted to charge me! I'm talking about one of those tiny containers that maybe holds a tablespoon and 1/2. What? Excuse me?! Keep your sauce. You'll have to do better to get me to walk back in or to recommend them again.

This is the second time my husband and I have been here -- once for brunch after church, this time dinner with some friends. Delicious food, beautiful ambiance, really wonderful service. It was a perfect night so we asked to sit on the patio under the huge tree. The lights, the tree, and just the atmosphere was romantic, but casual. It was the perfect date night spot. We were greeted by our server. She was super nice and patient, gave us great recommendations, and she didn't come to the table to check up on us too much or too little. She really knew how to give us space. The food is always solid. I had the arrachera with homemade corn tortillas. The tortillas were nicely made and the beef of the arrachera was perfectly cooked to medium. It's a huge plate! The portion is very generous. It gave me a total of 3 meals. If I was extra hungry, I might have finished it in 2. I highly recommend the ceviche, the chuleta tomahawk, arrachera, mole de pollo, and the churros. ESPECIALLY the churros. Leave room for this! The chocolate dipping sauce they use is Mexican chocolate. The sweetness and bitterness were perfectly balanced. I would definitely come here again. You will not be disappointed.

After years of birthday/anniversary dinners here, bringing friends and family for group dinners, and recommending Meso Maya to everyone, I was not only disappointed but genuinely traumatized by my food experience last night. As we've done many times before, we ordered DoorDash, getting our $85 (before tip) dinner delivered and the packaging/missing items should have been our first clue that this was going to be a bad experience. I've listed the issues below: We ordered a PINT of salsa to find no chips were included. Spending $10 on salsa is absurd but no chips!?! My salad, which already has limited toppings, did not include the sliced apples, which are listed as an included topping. The beans were just thrown in the box, covering half of my other side, the corn tamale. And the cherry on top of it all - THERE WAS A BUG INSIDE OF MY QUESADILLA THAT I ATE, CHEWED, AND SPIT OUT. I've included a picture of its leg still intact. As a LOYAL customer, I'm beyond disappointed and just overall traumatized from this experience...

I truly enjoyed our visit to this trendy Mexican and Mayan restaurant. The ambiance of this restaurant is fun and relaxed! The service was great and the food delicious! A must visit. The cucumber margarita was refreshing. Carne asada plate was so flavorful, I couldn't get enough. The sweet corn tamale was very tasty. The cochinita pibil plate was also delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

Outstanding! This has become one of our favorite restaurants in Ft Worth. The food is delicious, the service is next level (Viviana was the nicest server we have ever had). Do yourself a favor and give it a shot, anything in the menu is great but just go with the chef specialties and you can't go wrong.

I took my 6yr old daughter here after an afternoon appointment and I can't say enough good things about the restaurant!! The restaurant itself is soo pretty and loved the different cacti at each table..The service was outstanding!! Our server was so sweet and helpful! The food was better than any mexican restaurant I've been to here in DFW and I've lived here for 8yrs!! I highly recommend the brisket and chicken enchiladas!! The flavor and different corn shells was a very authentic unique combination! Also the Salsa is incredibly addicting, spicy and smoky and filled with flavor!! You really need to visit this restaurant, it wont disappoint!!

4.5 Another amazing experience on this Fort Worth trip! We visited the Tanglewood location for lunch, and were impressed by the charming atmosphere, nice layout, and the menu which is a combination of expected and authentic. We were informed by our lovely server that everything at Meso Maya is made on premises, and selected our drinks from their expert bartender. The menu items we ordered were typical in name only; sopas to start, (Pozole Rojo, yum!) tacos, enchiladas, Cochinita Pibil, everything was amazing and on point, from the signature cocktail to the last bit of food on our plates. The freshness was noticeable, prices very reasonable. Nothing but great things to say about this visit to Meso Maya, will definitely return and highly recommend!

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time (((not sure what took me so long))) but I finally made it. And honestly I was disappointed, I went with a Mexican friend and we both agreed that the food was just ok. We both had soup and it was just ok, the chips and salsa was just ok too. The house margarita was just ok, even the ambiance inside was ok. Thank goodness for the cocktail or else I would have left in a bad mood Service was good which is always a plus.

We stopped by this place after another restaurant had a 50 minute wait. Even though it was a Saturday night, we were greeted and sat right away by the hostess and our server came as soon as we sat down with our chips and salsa and to take our drink orders. I'm really picky so I hesitantly ordered the pollo Serrano enchiladas and hoped for the best..lol. Y'all, I am so glad I ordered them! They were so delicious that I even chewed slow just to enjoy them longer. Yes, they were that good!! My mom ordered the camarones a la diabla and she said the shrimp were cooked just right and the sweet and spicy sauce was really good. We both agreed that this is a place we need to come back to, especially when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the really nice outdoor seating. Try this place out! You won't regret it!

As the name might suggest, this places focuses on cocktails throughout the world. Nonetheless, as the opportunity presented itself, we have usually opted happy hour. The first time I came here, I asked for a drink that was recommended. The bartender made a wonderful espresso martini. Despite what I mentioned, this was not on the happy hour menu. It was still a great drink nonetheless. I should have clarified from my end that I was looking for a happy hour drink. Good level of espresso liqueur with smooth vodka. Also, simple presentation with the coffee beans on top. The second time I came here it was also for happy hour. This time, I got the Bee's Knees. This was refreshing and sweet. The harshness of the gin did come through at times but at a tolerable amount that wasn't overwhelming. I liked the visuals of the dehydrated lemon slice. In both visits, we were regularly checked on by staff seeing if we had anything else to order, to gets dishes/glasses out of the way, refill water, etc. Always so kind! I will also note that the restrooms are incredibly clean and well-stocked. Although I've only come to Atlas for happy hour, I would certainly love to come back some day later in the evening because I've heard the vibe and atmosphere is especially more lively during that time.

But from the very first phone call, Sophie at Blackland Distillery showed nothing but grace and patience. She allowed us to keep pushing back our reservation without a hint of frustration, and that alone deserves a standing ovation. When we finally arrived, what could've been a ruined evening turned into one of the most memorable nights we've had. Every single person we encountered at Blackland was incredibly kind and welcoming. Marshall greeted us with warmth, and Jeremy? He's not just a bartender--he's a cocktail artist. The drinks he crafted for us were next-level, easily some of the best we've ever had. He truly understands spirits and how to elevate them. We were genuinely torn when it was time to leave for our dinner reservation at Wicked Butcher--honestly, we could've stayed sipping Jeremy's creations all night. Before we left, we got to meet Sophie in person (she stuck around!), and by that time, we had sampled every single spirit Blackland offers. Each one was exceptional--smooth, bold, and full of character. Take home message: Top-tier spirits, an amazing vibe, and a team that genuinely cares--Blackland Distillery turned a stressful day into an unforgettable celebration. The restaurant is surprisingly small, located on the other side of the bar from the entrance (I wouldn't have known where to go if my dining companions hadn't been here previously.) I loved that it wasn't too loud, the four of us were seated at a large round half booth/half chairs table and were able to converse without voices raised and the dreaded "whaaaat?" Food was yummy! Everyone was going nuts over the Ritz and Dips appetizer but all my attention was on the sourdough bread, so good. Salads are generous, we split two Caesar salads between the four of us and it was a perfect portion for starters (this is not your classic Caesar but we enjoyed the different take on it.) I'm a pescatarian and the chef was so accommodating to make me my own non-dirty farro to accompany the redfish. Great flavors! Some others of us ended up ordering several appetizers as entrees and it was all delicious. Husband said the Hot Rock Wagyu Rib Cap appetizer (prepared table-side) was incredible. They make a rich plenty dark decaf Americano which was my dessert of choice. We were all too full to order any treats, maybe next time. Finally, our server Lauren was AMAZING! She really helped make it a great evening. Which helped take the edge off when we got the post-meal surprise that valet parking isn't complimentary (I see by the reviews that it maybe used to be?) but $10. Not too expensive, I guess, but considering the $700-$1700/per night cost of rooms at this hotel you'd think they might want to throw the locals coming in for a meal a little appreciation. Just saying.
