We had a reservation on a Thursday afternoon and the place had ample seating options when we arrived. I appreciate that they have mocktail options in addition to their standard drink options. They had complimentary chips, queso and salsa which were tasty. The prices are affordable and on par with trendy establishments. I ordered the cremaqueso enchiladas, mojito myway mocktail and for dessert Cajeta churros. The enchiladas with a side of refried beans and Spanish rice were flavorful and filling. The mojito was refreshing with balanced carbonation and the cajeta churros were some of the best churros I've had in years. The desert can easily be shared with a couple of people. The staff were attentive, quick with our orders and friendly. I'm glad I chose this place for lunch and my co-workers enjoyed their experience at Mesero as well. read more

This is not the first time I've visited this location, and it likely won't be the last since I visit Clearfork several times a year. Their chips and salsa is a tad lacking (3 different salsa option, but none of them have a ton of flavor or spice - you'd expect at least one of them to really stand out). This visit was during brunch hours, so I got the brisket breakfast tacos which definitely could have used something "extra", but overall were tasty. I'm not a fan of their black beans which have a funny taste to them IMO, but their refried pinto beans are good. My friend had their verde enchiladas and devoured them. Drink prices are a bit steep ($14 for a small-ish glass of white wine) but that seems to be everywhere these days. read more

Let's start with the food: Ordered the ribeye with cheddar cheese grits. Ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare, seasoning was good, it came out hot. The grits came out at room temperature basically but we were a large party so I didn't judge them too hard for that. The flavor of the grits were good but not great, I had high hopes based on the description but they just didn't live up to the name honestly. Either way everyone in our party was happy with their food and the old fashioned was spectacular. The ambiance was nice, modern, upscale, but not suit and tie level which was great for the location and mood. Chose Mesero as a new spot to try on Valentine's Day. Restaurant has a cool vibe going and we sat outside on the patio. They had heaters on and it was very comfortable despite being February. We started with the Duo (queso and guac platter). The queso and the guac were both very good. I will say, however, that I wish they would give you more chips right from the start. Between the salsa, queso, and guac you go through the small amount of provided chips pretty quickly. It's like a small cup of soup size serving, not a basket like most places. Yes, we asked for and got more chips, but it would be nice to be given a larger amount of chips right from the start. I'll know to ask next time. I know this is nit-picky and it was really the only ding on the experience. My wife had a combo platter (#4 if I recall) and I had the peurco pasilla. Both dishes were very good. Even now, writing about the peurco pasilla has my mouth watering and thinking we need to make another visit! Delish! Service was good and overall this was a very nice experience. Mesero in Clearfork is that perfect special occasion spot. For my birthday, I wanted to dress up (but not too dressy) and have a delicious upscale meal in an environment where everyone is having fun. We went to Mesero late afternoon, and the party was already in full swing. I was lucky enough to have a table near the bartender mixing the fresh fruit margaritas, and the sound of the ice rolling around in the silver shaker was mesmerizing. With as many people as were there, the front-of-house staff was calm and experienced in giving quality service to each table. I chose the watermelon basil margarita with my trio of salsas and guacamole. A beautiful drink served with a fresh watermelon slice on the rim--the perfect counterpoint to the salsas and buttery smooth guacamole. One of the reasons I chose Mesero was for the fideos. I ordered a cup of the soupy tomato and chile broth with fideo pasta and loved the addition of crispy onion ring and sliced avocado. It was a real treat to have sopa de fideo, something I regularly enjoyed in Mexico. For the main, we tried the cremaqueso and enchiladas verdes duo and the brisket tacos. All were delicious, but the cremaqueso enchiladas were the first to be devoured. Finally, because it was my birthday, I chose the cinco leches cake for dessert because cinco leches. This cake is the reason you come to Mesero for your special occasion. It was more than enough for two. But if you are celebrating in a group, I would order a round of espresso martinis and two Cinco Leches to come to the table simultaneously. What a presentation! It took us a while, but we were finally able to try out Mesero. In CovidWorld, having a nice patio is a great boon for business and considering the time of year in Texas (patio season!) its a good time to stop in and enjoy some Mexican Food on a nice day. Mesero is definitely a trendy spot/upscale spot, but with some affordable prices. Trying out a new Mexican place almost always invokes a near-existential crisis as there are so many good options to try - tacos, enchiladas, and other featured dishes. Like any good Mexican/Tex-Mex place however, they also have combo plates. I opted for the #4 - verdes enchilada, brisket taco, mesero slaw, arroz verde, and it was exquisite. I'm always a sucker for verde salsa and both the brisket taco and enchilada were great. The service was prompt and the food came out quickly to boot. Since we were there for lunch, sadly we couldn't delve too much into their extensive drink menu (the agave mule was great), but that alone will prompt us to come back and have another nice lunch in the sun. read more

God drinks, some good food, but a lot about the service. If you are at a table they rush to serve you and leave. If you are at the bar they definitely push you to leave if they are cleaning or about to start cleaning. Pick up everything, even if you are still eating chips or something, and don't try to keep the service anymore. I get it if they are about to close, but could be polite if they "let you know" you need to pay and leave... don't just push you to leave. We have always frequented Mesero, but their reopening after the stay-at-home orders expired was definitely done right. You're seated every hour and can make reservations on OpenTable. You must leave before the next hour and capacity is currently at 25%. Distancing was appropriate and all of the staff wore masks. I absolutely love this place! Right in the center a Clearfork shopping center. Parking can be hard but parking is free! So make sure you come a little bit early so that you can find yourself a parking spot! I came here with a friend, I made sure to make a reservation on open table. We got seated right away, this restaurant is very busy however the service was fast! This is a casual restaurant, a perfect place to have a brunch with a girlfriend or a birthday brunch. All the employees wear a mask. And the restaurant is very clean, you can sit inside or outside!! The menu is easy to read, you don't have to scan with your phone, they give you an actual physical menu. I had the enchiladas which were so creamy, the chicken was so delicious, ate the whole thing and I never finish everything! My friends plate was also good, I took a picture of it. You have to get the brisket queso it was delicious! Creamy and the brisket was so soft and tender. Our server was so sweet, and I've been to this restaurant twice, and anybody that I had was fast, efficient, nice, and very thorough. Always checking up on us especially with a crowd that they have, it was very impressive. This restaurant is perfect for anybody to grab brunch and then shop around the center.
