I've walked in to the place a gentleman greeted me kindly and I asked for menu, I saw a Mediterranean Fettuccini and I wanted with pink sauce he said OK, I was by myself and sat at the bar, I explained him the same way but the Bartender (Mitch) said never heard that and ordered.. when the Pasta arrived he said '' Here is pasta with pink sauce right' as he was trying to be funny and made the gentleman lough sitting next to me.. Had brunch here on a Sunday morning with a group of friends. It was very busy, but the service was great. There were fresh flowers on the tables and a big bouquet in the restroom which added to the decor. Our waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face, as if we were her only table. I ordered the corned beef hash which was yummy. It wasn't the traditional canned corned beef hash that you would usually get. I ordered hashbrowns and a blueberry muffin as my sides. The hashbrowns were normal, but good. The blueberry muffin was good; it had a yummy crunchy edge. Others ordered omelettes which came out a little smaller than I thought they would be. Very high quality breakfast. Eggs were done well and the oatmeal came with lots of berries and bananas . We were four people in all and each of us was pleased with the quality and taste. Outdoor seating is very pleasant. Service was very good and attentive even on a very busy Sunday. My husband left his wallet here and four hours later discovered it missing. He called and they had it. Our son, as arranged by my husband with the restaurant, went to pick it up and they made sure to check his ID before turning it over. All the contents were there. It is in a shopping mall, so we were hesitant about the dog, but they didn't flinch at our very large dog & asked inside or out. Shock!! We chose outside ( with the very large dog) and the patio was very nice, with several dogs at tables as well. Now for the food & drinks. Tried their special blood orange margarita & it was very tasty! The bread was also very good. I had the avocado egg rolls with chipotle dipping sauce,off the appetizer menu, and they were delicious! My other half had the bacon, blue cheese burger and he said it was very good. I took home the apple pie. We will probably go back for either breakfast or lunch as well. I had went here for dinner with my boyfriend and arrive about 4:50 pm. When I came in the restaurant I notice a dog in the restaurant and ask the hostess if we could sit inside since she said dogs not allowed inside so se took are dog outside was just the start we sat in the patio and waited for 15 minutes with our menus no one came by so I sent my boyfriend up to get me a drink he brought it back to the table still no server our friend I arrived 10 minutes after this still no server I sent my boyfriend and his friend to get the lady's a drink I ordered a lemon drop he came back with a glass with lemon and vodka it is suppose to be in a martini glass with sugar I started to drink it since he came back telling me new bartender struggling still no server finally I asked my boyfriend I he would go inside and get a server so he did he open the door said hey can we please get a server I am diabetic Finally someone came out maybe a manager and a guy there reply you are disrupting our guest you need to leave and you are cut off first off all he doesn't drink he was having water he is diabetic his sugar level very low by this time again we said we been waiting for someone's to take are order they said we are not charging you for the drink and you need to leave we did nothing wrong we were patient at this point knowing he is diabetic they did nothing to help and embarrassment to me him and our friends I am speaking with the owner tomorrow they need new staff and more help for the 5 people in the restaurant It use to be good however after what we experience I do not recommend this establishment diabetic is also covered under American disability act and I told the that as well hector I spoke to said they will review the video I am looking forward to this ..I work myself in a restaurant as a manager and if they were my employees I would have fired all of them they are setting themselves up for legal action with this kind of treatment beware off this place read more

Traditional American breakfast fare. This is my go-to greasy spoon diner--without the grease! Nothing fancy, but that's just fine by me, just your good basic breakfast place. Prices are pretty low and portions, fairly large. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Obviously a place with regulars which creates a really friendly atmosphere. Went here yesterday for brunch after the SB Tri. We had a fairly large group, and our server was very patient with us. I got the pasilla chile scramble special with hash browns. The eggs were really super delicious, especially with salsa (served automatically alongside all eggs). However, my hash browns left a grease puddle on my plate. I had a sip of a friend's bloody mary, and it seemed a little watery, but it came with stuffed olives (one of which was VERY spicy). I think I'd go if I were in the area and didn't have a lot of other options, but I wouldn't make the hour drive to SB just for this place. read more

This is our go to place when we want a nice relaxing breakfast on the weekend. Since we come here so often, I switch up the menu a lot. I love their breakfast menu: my favorite are the western omelette and the eggs Benedict. Their dinner isn't bad either. I highly recommend their pot roast. read more

Took mom out to Santa Barbara for mother's day and stopped at Mesa Cafe for some breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros were good, but would have preferred rice with my beans instead of potatoes. Knew what I wanted. Ordered, oatmeal, butter and brown sugar and 1/2 and 1/2 (lactose intolerant). . She brought oatmeal with brown sugar, raisens, and whole milk. and that was the.last I saw.of her. I asked another server for brown sugar bc the container barely had any in there. The other server was quick. I was there for about 30 mins and was never asked how I was doing or if I needed anything else. I saw her serving another customer and stopped her and asked for the check. She gave it to me and didn't ask how everything was or if I needed anything else :( a lil irritated. I went to the front bc I think thats where you have.to.pay. Ramiro asked how everything was. I told him of the above and he was apologetic and gave me a.gift card. I told him.my bf recommended this place. Maybe we will come together and see if we have a better meal and experience. Great food, Outstanding service!! Went there for lunch on Independence Day with my wife and 18-month old son. Food was great (I had the Reuben) but the service was fantastic! Our server was Lisa and she treated us well. We were never in need of anything for more than a minute. The super-cute hostess (Kristina) was awesome too - very friendly, but also worked her BUTT off! Most just sit behind the podium and wait to seat you. Not her. She was seating people, clearing tables, getting us a high chair & crayons, all with a smile. Even the busboys were on top of their game. I was squirting ketchup for my fries and it was just starting to run low. Before I even had a chance, a busboy noticed and brought me a fresh bottle. This all sounds trivial, but it is very refreshing. I'm not used to getting this good of service in SB. Hats off to the management! read more

We found this restaurant by accident but visit it on purpose every time we go to Santa Barbara. Many places say their corn beef hash is home made but looks like it came from a can, not here they have chunks of corn beef in their hash. Great omelets, large plates of great food. read more

Went for breakfast. I ordered Eggs Benedict and fruit. My eggs were runny and way undercooked and my fruit was wet looking and transparent. Obviously not edible. It was not too busy and I saw a waitress dump a new large bin of fruit into a container. I must have got the end of the bin that had been used all week. If our waitress cared and payed attention she would have served me fruit from the new container. And the cooks had plenty of time to prepare my eggs they way they should have been cooked. read more

We stopped here to have lunch and were overall pleased. The reason why it does not get 5 stars is the honey mustard dressing tastes like regular Grey Poupon mustard and not a salad dressing. I was not able to eat my salad after pouring this mess on it. Our waitress could have been a little more efficient and brought up some more water, but she never did even though I was dying of thirst and munching the ice to get the awful honey mustard taste. I have a feeling she is more attentive to the locals. I will stop by again and just not order the honey mustard dressing for my salad.
