This was my first time visiting Cody's Cafe. We were greeted politely and seated quickly, and a very kind gentleman brought us coffee, which started things off on a good start. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I ordered a burrito, but when it arrived, it was so soggy at the bottom that I couldn't even hold it--it was falling apart in my hands. I tried cutting it, but the tortilla was so wet that it just kept disintegrating, making a complete mess. I let the waitress know about the issue, but she didn't seem to care at all. Her only response was, "It's because of the salsa," and then she just walked away. No apology, no offer to fix it--nothing. I've honestly never had a burrito that soggy before. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

I don't understand where my review went. We have been going to this café for a number of years. So I'll start all over. I love their coffee, its Peet's and that's what I have at home. My husband and I both had chili Verde omelettes and we ate all of the omelette. I had fruit and we split it and he had hashbrowns and we split that. The hashbrowns were just OK. He got an English muffin and I got a blueberry muffin and we took them home. The staff is extremely friendly, no matter who you have.

SUCH A FLOP !!! Do not even consider coming here !! Super bad service, and disgusting food. We had to go Inside and ask for our order to be taken. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks. And when she did take our order she was so rude about it. There was a piece of lettuce in the creamer we got. My potatoes were RAW and flavorless. Praying I don't get food poisoning from the chorizo.

I hadn't been to Cody's in a minute (years), but it was close and I was hungry. I ordered the Cobb Salad to go with no tomatoes. The girl on the phone was very nice and the employees in-person were friendly. I was asked which dressing I would like and chose balsamic. When I opened the box at home, I noticed most of the bacon was chewy/fatty pieces. The chicken was ok (a bit chewy) and the lettuce as well. This salad was not worth $16+ in my opinion, but it did fill me up and good to know for the future. I also didn't receive any utensils or napkin (realized when I got home) and my tip in the tip jar was not acknowledged.

Classic comfort food in a comfortable, homey atmosphere. Alright for families and large groups. You can find this cafe at the Turnpike Shopping Center along Hollister Avenue. Parking is easy and breezy. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating throughout, I never had to wait long for a table. Their patio is pet-friendly. They serve all your favorite breakfast and lunch dishes: french toast, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, benedicts, scrambles, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and so much more. Prices are reasonable for the portions served. Some of the things I've ordered before: Short Stack: Two very large pancakes. It seems like someone left them on the griddle for a little too long, the top was a bit charred and it had a burnt taste to it. Wasn't too fluffy. The accompanying scrambled eggs and patty sausage were just ok. Fish and Chips: Impressively fried and flakey fish, with a nice golden color. Fries were also crispy. Served with a side of coleslaw. Homemade Pot Roast: Tender meat cooked in red wine. Decent. They used to be open during the evenings in the past, but dining after 5:00 PM is now limited to private parties and events. A bit of a bummer since their dinner menu is great. But brunch is good enough!

This is a great bar and there's just no way around that. The drinks are tough, the vibes are immaculate, the bartenders have teeth and the regulars are absolutely bananas. I love it here. It's probably the only bar you can roll into by yourself as a woman and feel comfortable. As if things couldn't get any better, there's a treasure of a human in there who spins vinyl on Friday nights (maybe Saturdays also, but don't quote me) and you really shouldn't miss that experience. Thank you Imperial and staff for your phenomenal service. You've truly cultivated something wonderful.

You are transformed into a tiki/tropical/ vintage/bohemian not sure what to call it atmosphere. Super mellow and chill. We sat at a corner couch across from the bar. Comfy and relaxing, and dim lighting. Drink menu was diverse. Great selection. From cocktails to all types of alcohol. With an average price range of $15. Bartender knew his craft. All drinks ordered were great! C for service. The service dept needs some help, and I get it, with one person serving 15+ people. It is impossible to provide a5 star service. Initially service was great with a smile when we first arrived @ 6 pm. But soon after the bar became super busy. The wait was 20-30 minutes for an order. It was time to leave. We asked for our check and it came non-itemized. If it was 2 or 4 drinks that would be fine, but we were party of 3 with over 10 drinks. Then we had to wait again after asking for an itemized check. Waiter stated they need to hand write as their "machine" was not working. That took more time than needed. Ahhhhhh.... Ah well.. you can't get it all. Hence the 3.5 stars. I recommend, to sit at the bar and maybe pay cash to avoid hurdles I experienced.

The environment is casual, with indoor and outdoor seating. I love to people watch here! Located next to the Granada and the perfect spot to grab a few drinks before a show. Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4-6pm and offers a small menu of $9 cocktails. Sometimes it gets pretty crowded depending on what events are happening downtown. My only gripe is that I wish they had two bartenders during the busier nights. They could be short staffed though. Nonetheless, it's still a great spot for good quality cocktails.

Located right next to the Granada Theater on the main drag, it looked to have undergone recent renovations and had a very chill but stylish ambiance. There was plenty of seating on a Wednesday night, and our bartender was a friendly young woman. The hubby got the spiced rum old fashioned, which had an ice cube with a lion's face etched onto it--a nice touch. I got one of their tiny Negronis, which came in a cute tiny mug and cost $5 (it sounded fun). Both tasted great and we had a nice time sipping our drinks and taking in the decor. Alas we had to be on our way so couldn't linger long, but we'd definitely love to stop by again the next time we're in town.

Great service, met the owner, nice guy, well curated beers on tap (I think they generally have 16 on tap) ranging from a few from overseas if you are in to Belgians or what have you and then a well chosen selection of great beers from all over - maybe a bit California heavy but there is a helluva lot of great beer in California. I hate going in to a so-called taproom and I can't find anything I have never had on tap. Why go to a place with a bunch of variety of there is nothing new? Typical corporate or beer-illiterate taproom: "Well we have this great IPA from Lagunitas, its their IPA have you heard of Lagunitas? What about Sam Adams? Oh and we have Guinness if you are into *throws finger quotes* dark beers. Oh we also have Sierra Nevada Pale I think it comes all the way from NorCal!" Ugh. Again - great rotating selection here...and a bonus couple of coolers where you can score some cans and bottles to go of some more great craft beer. Ambiance is local bar/brewery, they have food some nights (had a great smashburger from Goodland Grillers tonight) and trivia on Thursdays. There I included the word ambiance are you happy Yelp? Our experience was overall pretty good. I did feel the servers checking in and attention to us could have been better. There were long periods of time where he didn't check in with us. I also felt the food took quite a while to be made. I used to be a waitress in the past. We sat outside and it was not that busy. The inside was open. The servers were very sweet as were the hostesses. The cinnamon bun for the table was good as well. Now for the bad. They had a ton of runners yet we couldn't get them to give us water no matter how much we asked for it. It took forever just to get our drinks. When my friend asked for some hot sauce for her food, bloody Mary mix was brought over in a ramekin. Having bartender a while back, I know clam juice when I taste it. And I was having a bloody Mary and it tasted exactly the same. Not to mention the fact it was very watery and it tasted like straight fire. I love hot sauce, but this had no finesse and it wasn't hot sauce. She asked for it again and she got the same thing. She needed hot sauce because the food really was not seasoned. I got avocado toast and I had to salt and pepper the hell out of that thing. Her hollandaise was bland and my friends clam chowder tasted like nothing. It was just like food out of a retirement community. I want to go back to the fact that the servers were really sweet. I don't discount that and they did hire nice people. But when you have that many runners and servers, the service should be better. And they really need to start using a little salt and pepper on their food. When you have prices like that people expect more.
