The Black & Bleu Burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich.
    Natalia B.

I had the black n bleu burger and the fried chicken sandwich. Tbh both lacked the... je ne sais quoi (had to look up how to spell that) that I wanted. Did not take me to flavor town. Would not go again. Still ate all of it tho #CleanPlateClub

Good food but jut paid 19.00 bucks for this tiny beat salad! This seems to be a side size not a full size

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Got the fried chicken sandwich with fries for takeout. Fries tasted old, like it was microwaved and like it's been sitting there for 2 hrs. The sandwich was dry, there wasn't much meat, just a very thin piece of fried chicken, the bread tasted dry and old, no flavor at all from the whole sandwich. It's not worth the price of $20. Although service was alright, I arrived there within 10-15 mins upon placing the order over the phone. From what I could tell the ambiance was pretty much typical for a brewery, not too busy the time I came. Not sure if I would come back here, maybe just to try their beers out and not the food.

    Mushroom sausage pizza

This restaurant was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the ambiance. They have an inside seating area and an outdoor patio. We sat inside. You come in and put in your order then sit down with your order number and they bring the food out to you. The First item that we ordered was the mushroom sausage pizza. As you can see from the picture, it has arugula and Parmesan on top. The mushrooms must be sautéed prior to adding to the pizza in some type of magical butter sauce because they were so delicious and tasted great with the chicken sausage Altogether, this was an amazing pizza that me and my kiddo appreciated. The next item we got was the mac & cheese, which was very solid in flavor and cheesiness. It had a great taste and wasn't overly cheesy. They also gave a pretty good size that fit in a medium size bowl. The last item we ordered was the weekly special which was a flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The steak wasn't seasoned too much, but it was good enough to satisfy my steak craving. Potatoes however were very delicious and the gravy they were served with was amazing. They had about 12 or more beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales a kombucha, hazy IPA, IPAs, etc. I didn't get to try any, but maybe next time. Overall, the service was great and the servers were attentive and kind and made it us. Feel welcome to be in the restaurant. I would definitely visit this place again and order the pizza and would love to try some of their other items.

Warm cast iron chocolate chip cookie with McConnell's vanilla bean ice cream & chocolate drizzle

Yellow belly has many great options to choose from but have you ever just wanted to get some great dessert with friends? Well, look no further Yellow belly's laid back setting and incredible cast iron cookie are where you want to go! My friends and I love coming here for a fun dessert! The cast iron cookie is among the best we've ever had, the cookie itself is incredible then you add the fact that the chocolate is warm & gooey plus you add two scoops of your fav McConnell's classics that perfectly balances the warmth of the cookie - you're guaranteed to have a party in your mouth!

Traffic mitigation strategies. What are some of yours? One of mine is just temporarily surrendering, pulling off the stinking freeway , and finding literally anything else to do for a spell. Therefore, all that I really asked of Yellow Belly was to be my sanity break from that parking lot formerly known as U.S. Highway 101. Well they ended up being far more than that! Their "Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich" was crispy and delicious! Although I was satisfied with the portion I was provided, I seriously wanted another one. Not because I was left wanting, but because I just wanted that dining experience to continue. Their "Fig + Goat + Bacon Burger" was also outstanding. The figs and goat cheese provided a sweet and savory combo that matched the saltiness of the bacon wonderfully. Their dining environment is on the minimalist side of the spectrum, but they offer fairly substantial outdoor dining opportunities. There is absolutely no way that I could fail to mention the typewriter found in the restroom (multitasking anyone?). That is just the right about of quirkiness to appeal to me and engage my imagination. (And for those who may be wondering, that is NOT where this post was written. ) I really enjoyed the 70's Funk and Soul they were dishing out during our visit. The next time I'm visiting Santa Barbara it won't take another California traffic jam to get me in here. And that's...Henry's Take. #santabarbaradinner

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. We were looking for a laid-back and unique venue, and Brass Bear absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the team (especially Emily!) went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The space itself is welcoming and full of character, while also feeling elevated and thoughtfully designed. We actually saved a lot on decor because the venue was already so beautiful on its own. The top things that really set Brass Bear apart (aside from the space itself) were the staff and the food/drinks. The staff -- Every single person we worked with was kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly and that it was truly the party of our dreams. They were incredibly accommodating, handled logistics seamlessly, and anticipated needs before we even had to ask. It honestly felt like they cared about our wedding just as much as we did. Also throughout the evening, on their own, the amazing staff checked in on me and the groom, seeing if we wanted a drink refill or a cup of water. The food-- Hands down the best menu we sampled while choosing a reception venue. We wanted a place that would have a spread guests would talk about long after the event, and for months afterward our friends and family were still bringing up the tri-tip and how good everything tasted. Not only was the main food insanely delicious, the welcome charcuterie table was put together beautifully with so many options. The drinks -- The open bar was fantastic! Brass Bear offered a great variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks as part of their open bar, the flow of guests being served at multiple bar stations stayed steady all evening with no bottlenecks, and they even helped me create a custom cocktail to match my purple hair. I also probably emailed (literally) a thousand questions throughout the planning process, and every single one was met with a kind, thoroughly explained answer, or a "let's see if we can make that work!" response, which made the planning feel like a breeze and really fun. If you're considering Brass Bear Brewery for a wedding, celebration, or any special event, do not hesitate. They helped create memories we'll treasure forever, and we are SO grateful we chose them. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
