Visiting in SB and this spot came highly recommended online. We came around 5pm and found street parking nearby. There's a lot of seating, an open air warehouse vibe. You order at the bar and then seat yourself with a number where staff will bring your food. We got the original smashburger ($10.70) and large fries ($6.50). The burger comes with a side of pickles and has two patties inside. The fries come with two sauces. We chose the special sauce and chipotle aioli. Both sauces were delish with the fries! And the burger was amazing- crispy edges to the patty and juicy center with the brioche bun and pickles. I highly recommend. read more

I found their tomato sauce very sweet. However, the pb&j smashburger was amaaaaazing! So good! Seriously, the level of tastiness reminds me of the smashburgers in LA. Gas. Come here. Smoked BBQ Bacon Smashburger - 10/10 Delicious. $15 for a very tasty burger. The onion strings on it, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, and the patties themselves, really really good. The pickles were also DELICIOUS. Like it's rare for pickles to taste different, and these did in an amazing way. Their ranch isn't my favorite, personally. Fries - 10/10 Unfortunately have to buy them as a side to the burger (don't come with). A small was more than enough and I think they were roughly $5 or so. Tasted absolutely amazing though, they did them really well. Pepperoni pizza - 6.5/10 Solid, but probably wouldn't get it again. $22 and was an underwhelming size when I opened the box. Not much sauce, but decent bread and solid pepperoni. Forgettable though. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie - 5/10 Meh. Wouldn't get again. $4 I think? Spend roughly $50 on the 4 things, so a bit expensive, but granted I got a lot. Ambiance is so-so, but that depends on what you like. It's sit down at large benches where other parties can sit as well. There are some smaller 2 person tables and 4 person bench like tables as well. Expected for a brewery though. I stopped by here for some dinner whilst waiting for a friend to arrive in town. I ordered a beer, chicken wings, and salad. I was given the beer right away and took a seat whilst waiting for the food. After a few short minutes, everything arrived. The wings crispy on the outside and plenty meaty on the inside. They have a drier rub as opposed to being saucy which was delicious. The salad provided a nice fresh balance to the meal. Admittedly I was previously familiar with third window brewing through their beer. Previously I tried a stout which I really enjoyed but switched it up this time with the Mexican lager. It was really good! Definitely went down easy. Overall, I had a good experience at Third Window Brewing. If you're vegetarian there won't be many options food wise but there's definitely some good beer. Would recommend :):) read more

Came here for the first time and sat outside on a beautiful sunny day with about 12 people. The food came super quickly and the smash burger was so good! I also tasted the salad that they offer along with the ribs, fries, and beans. The beer was great too. I didn't explore much, but it seemed they had great merch, I should have gotten some. This is our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. Here is why: 1) They have a peanut butter and jelly hamburger. 2) The burgers are smash burgers. 3) Great prices. 4) Different and diverse types of food offerings depending on the day (the burnt ends on Saturday were great). 5) Live music and events (when we went, they had World Cup watch parties). 6) The water is free and super good. 7) Family friendly but also good place to chill with friends or a date. The wait times are a little long but I like to think they're being very careful with preparing our food. Parking can be challenging depending on time of day but there is street parking. We visited Third Window Brewing for the first time on 05/24/2026 at about 5:45PM. We actually came to visit Potek Winery/Municipal Winemakers; however, ended up also ordering from Third Window, so we could enjoy some wine and food. They have a great outdoor area with lots of tables out front and in the courtyard. Some indoor areas as well. Yes, on the weekends, there is a line for food; however, it is worth the wait. The prices are really reasonable as well. Our table for two, ordered the Avocado Jalapeno Smashed Cheeseburger. 5 out of 5 for this burger. So yummy. We also shared the Sweet Heat Pizza, which had a delicious red sauce with Pineapple, Pepperoni and Jalapeno, which is one of our favorite combinations. Finally, we shared a large fry with the chipotle aioli and the bbq sauce as dipping sauces. Overall, we enjoyed everything; however, for the two of us we felt we could have done without the fries -- as the pizza and burger would have been enough. We weee visiting Santa Barbara and this place was high on our list. We planned a nice seafood lunch then hit a brewery then hit this place for great bear and their infamous smash burgers. Here's the problem. At dinner time the line is out the front door and frequently to the street!! And people sometimes wait a few minutes for a table to open up. Yikes. I've been wanting to try the Santa Barbara location for Third Window since I've been to the Carpinteria location a few times. The SB location is much larger with a lot more food options. They had a weekend bbq menu with pulled pork, ribs, etc. There were more burger options to choose from too. After 4pm on certain days, like the weekends, they make sourdough pizza. We were there for lunch so we didn't get chance to try the pizza, but I'd like to another time. There is a lot of outdoor seating available. You order at the front then find a table. Parking is street parking. I ordered the original smashed cheeseburger. Soft bun, flavorful meat, and some sauces to add flavor. You can't go wrong with ordering a burger here. They are delicious! The fries are also amazing. The large size is splittable between two people. I'm a huge fan of Third Window Brewing. Their food is amazing. Third Window has really blown up since our first visit in 2017. It's become a full-fledged brewery and restaurant with a giant patio where there used to be a parking lot. We went with friends and our assorted children during a weekend getaway to Santa Barbara, thinking it'd be an easy, family-friendly place for dinner. We were about half right. The menu and set-up were ideal for a casual Saturday outing with kids. Unfortunately, the place was packed when we arrived at 5:45. We were lucky to find seats, and the line to order was like half an hour long. I took one for the team and waited peacefully, doing crosswords while my husband and friends wrangled the six kids in our party. Service was efficient and friendly when I got to the front of the line, though I was worried when the cashier said the pizzas would take over half an hour. This wasn't true, as it turned out, and we were relieved when the pizzas arrived with the rest of our food in the next fifteen minutes. I was also able to put in an additional order without waiting in line (I'd forgotten the pretzels my three-year-old requested). Once we were all seated with food and beers in hand, the meal was quite pleasant and relaxing. I only had one beer, a tall, cool glass of The Next Hazy IPA. I remember liking Third Window's beers, and this one was genuinely delicious. The food was great, too, with lots of options for both adults and children. The homemade sourdough pretzel was fantastic, served warm with beer mustard and aged cheddar and Gruyere cheese sauce. I had the avocado jalapeño smashed cheeseburger for my dinner, and it was satisfying and flavorful, with two wagyu beef patties, avocado, house-made pickled jalapeños, chipotle aioli, hot sauce, and a side of house-made pickles. The Belgian-style fries were thin, crispy, and addictive. We got them with ketchup and BBQ sauce. I tried a bite of my kids' cheese pizza, and even that was good. We'll definitely come back to Third Window, even if we have to brave a crowd. There's a reason the place is popular, and I'm happy to have it in our rotation. read more

What a perfect place for what we needed. Our daughter graduated from UCSB and we were trying to find a place to gather and eat often the ceremony. My daughter wanted a place with great food and this certainly checked that box. It felt like way more than half a pound of meat. Two of us shared this and did not finish everything. It's really, really good. Great flavors: the sausage was not greasy, the pork and brisket were tender and perfect. The baked beans were great. It's a lot of food. Be sure you have plenty of time to sit and savor every bite. This has easily become a must-visit anytime I am in the area. Great brews, great food, and a lively atmosphere. The smashed waygu cheeseburger is a standout, juicy and delightfully crispy. I asked for mine without the onions smashed in, which was a great option. It gets very crowded and is food hall style, meaning you order at a window to receive a number and search for a seat yourself. Most of the seats are large picnic tables, so it can take some time to find seating if you have a larger party. The wait doesn't have to be as long as you think. 1. We came by for dinner and this place was popping. You get in line, order, and seat yourself - easy. We were told the food could take a bit of time, which set our expectations. 2. We ordered a pizza and a burger. The pizza came out quickly and was steaming hot. The crust had a nice chew and my preferred level of char. It was a pretty good pizza, and I was glad it came out as fast as it did. 3. The burger, on the other hand, took over an hour to come out. 4. Because we had been told food could take a bit, we expected a wait but not one this long. Over the course of an hour, we asked a few runners and a counter worker to check on our ticket, and they all said the food had a wait. The counter worker ultimately had to resend our ticket to the kitchen, meaning the original was likely thrown out when the pizza was done. 5. The burger was piping hot when it finally arrived.
