    Smash burgers and large fries
    Susan L.

4.5/5 stars. Great spot for yummy beer and a smashburger What I ate - Bbq bacon smashed cheeseburger: like the best western bacon cheeseburger you've ever had. The meat was crispy and beefy, the bacon thick, the onion strings have it a little crunch, and the tangy sweet bbq sauce helping to lift everything up. I wouldn definitely get this again - Belgian style fries: each large gets 2 house made dipping sauces, so dip to your hearts content. Fries were nice and crispy - Chicken wings: These were outrageously good. Crispy, but the meat was still tender and juicy. Great to dip into sauces. We only got 6 but I feel like we should have definitely got a dozen instead - Beer flight: The bar has a handy little form you can check off 5 that tickles your fancy Pros: - The vibe was right. Long patio with lots of long tables and umbrellas, also a huge courtyard that also has plenty of shade and seating - Families and dogs galore - The menu has a nice smorgasbord of fancy bar food, ranging from wings to smash burgers to wood fired sourdough pizza, and it seems like they also do bbq, but not on the menu. Whatever was available was just written down on a piece of butcher paper and hanging outside the order window - Bathrooms clean - Staff were super quick about cleaning up as you finish - There was a server coming through the line that was waiting to order to put on drink orders, which I thought was nice BUT she somehow skipped me and I had to wait before ordering my drink Cons: - There was a wait. We got there around 6 on a Friday and there was a line that took us about 30 mins to get through to get to the cashier. But by the time we finished ordering the line had wrapped around the block so I think we came at a good time - Those fries did NOT come in large containers. To me the "large" seemed like a personal size, but that's just the gluttonous American in me. I could have easily polished off those fries by myself. I regret sharing. - I didn't realize I had to go pick up my beer flight from the bar. The cashier didn't explain it to me and I didn't go to look for it until the food came out. I wish there was a better system for this - First come first serve seating. While there was some seating, you kinda had to be a hawk about grabbing seating as it got busier Would I come again? If I was in the area, yes

Gas. Come here. Smoked BBQ Bacon Smashburger - 10/10 Delicious. $15 for a very tasty burger. The onion strings on it, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, and the patties themselves, really really good. The pickles were also DELICIOUS. Like it's rare for pickles to taste different, and these did in an amazing way. Their ranch isn't my favorite, personally. Fries - 10/10 Unfortunately have to buy them as a side to the burger (don't come with). A small was more than enough and I think they were roughly $5 or so. Tasted absolutely amazing though, they did them really well. Pepperoni pizza - 6.5/10 Solid, but probably wouldn't get it again. $22 and was an underwhelming size when I opened the box. Not much sauce, but decent bread and solid pepperoni. Forgettable though. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie - 5/10 Meh. Wouldn't get again. $4 I think? Spend roughly $50 on the 4 things, so a bit expensive, but granted I got a lot. Ambiance is so-so, but that depends on what you like. It's sit down at large benches where other parties can sit as well. There are some smaller 2 person tables and 4 person bench like tables as well. Expected for a brewery though. Nice that they had options. It's largely outdoors which is nice. I'd definitely come back here again.

    Chicken wings, salad, Mexican lager

I stopped by here for some dinner whilst waiting for a friend to arrive in town. I ordered a beer, chicken wings, and salad. I was given the beer right away and took a seat whilst waiting for the food. After a few short minutes, everything arrived. The wings crispy on the outside and plenty meaty on the inside. They have a drier rub as opposed to being saucy which was delicious. The salad provided a nice fresh balance to the meal. Admittedly I was previously familiar with third window brewing through their beer. Previously I tried a stout which I really enjoyed but switched it up this time with the Mexican lager. It was really good! Definitely went down easy. Overall, I had a good experience at Third Window Brewing. If you're vegetarian there won't be many options food wise but there's definitely some good beer. Would recommend :):)

Such a great brewery to hang out at in Santa Barbara. The courtyard has a ton of space, the food is delicious, and there's so many beers on tap! Pro tip - if you make a reservation, you can order food from the drink only line! That way you can skip the long food line (because it does get very long on a Saturday afternoon)

Delicious burgers and beers at Third Window! Huge fan of this spot. The environment, the food, the beer, all were perfect for what we were looking for. We came at a good time, because the line stretched out the door by the time we were leaving, so it's definitely a popular spot. For sure plan on returning!

Amazing beer and excellent staff , food was also good. Highly recommend the shishito cheese dip and the saisons. Will be Back

Well I may have just found my new favorite smash burger at this lil brewery in Santa Barbara. Cooked perfectly with a little crispy skirt, deliciously cheesy, paired with the kinds of pickles that let you know this place also makes a mean BBQ. The seltzers were tangy and delicious too, floral and super refreshing

I've been wanting to try the Santa Barbara location for Third Window since I've been to the Carpinteria location a few times. The SB location is much larger with a lot more food options. They had a weekend bbq menu with pulled pork, ribs, etc. There were more burger options to choose from too. After 4pm on certain days, like the weekends, they make sourdough pizza. We were there for lunch so we didn't get chance to try the pizza, but I'd like to another time. There is a lot of outdoor seating available. You order at the front then find a table. Parking is street parking. I ordered the original smashed cheeseburger. Soft bun, flavorful meat, and some sauces to add flavor. You can't go wrong with ordering a burger here. They are delicious! The fries are also amazing. The large size is splittable between two people. I'm a huge fan of Third Window Brewing. Their food is amazing. Looking forward to coming back to try the sourdough pizza!

Delicious. They have a laid back, relaxing environment comfortable for families, friends and furry friends. We enjoyed their beer as well as the Santa Maria Birria Tacos (wow), vegan burger (tons of flavor), sourdough pretzel and the side salad (ranch is YUM) Staff is kind and keeps the place super clean!

Can I get this brewery in my backyard? If you like light beers (or even if you don't), try the Centeotl. It's a Mexican lager brewed with blue corn and it sent my taste buds for a trip. And since it was a Saturday, we paired it with a melt in your mouth brisket sando. Fast service, solid place to hang both solo or with a group

Love the design here, it's really open and spacious. It was popping for a Saturday morning; you can tell it's a popular hangout spot for the community. I really liked the beer I tried, the Saison Printemps '26 Botanic Blends. Definitely a solid place to grab a drink.

The best arugula salad ever along with fabulous chips and guac. On our second visit, we had a smashed burger and it was very tasty.

Amazing craft beer and food! Actually went twice in three days because we've loved it so much and we're from out of town. The staff is wonderful and they have fabulous tables inside and out. It has a great vibe! Head there now, what are you waiting for?

It's super busy here on a Sunday night. We came around 5 and barely found a table. Long lines, lots of families with small children and pets. The servers & cashier were patient and didn't seem overwhelmed. The smash burger is a solid smash burger. Crispy edges, caramelized onions, melted cheese. Fries we had to pay extra for. Was still a bit hungry so we got passion fruit cheesecake. Would come again!

Do the people behind the bar want to be here? I can't stand walking up to a place and feel like we're inconveniencing them.

What are the non alcoholic options (mentioned on their website)?

Typically there is a non alcoholic kombucha on draught. There are also sodas and sparkling water available.

My husband and I went here today around 2pm and their hours are incorrect on Yelp. Looks like they open up at 4pm? Bummer! We were craving their smash burger. And wondering if they serve the burgers every day. I would hope so!

Hi Amanda! Sorry for any confusion! The brewery does open up at 12pm but we don’t start serving food on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 4pm. Friday- Sunday food is available from 12pm to close. We serve burgers Thursday - Monday and…

Anyone know if they offer ciders?

There is usually a Kombucha and a Cider or Mead

    Is it dog friendly?

    Yup, always pups there!

I am glad I picked Rincon for an early dinner during our recent anniversary trip in Santa Barbara!…read more A major plus, they sell food here, they have an extensive menu so it's easy to order at the bar, they bring it to your table, no hassle, running around for food from 1000 places! It might not be as trendy as other breweries in the Funk Zone area, but I don't care. Quiet and laid back was the vibe we needed! I love that they are located in an old Spanish looking house. Beautiful outdoor options, charming, quiet, great to enjoy a meal at! I don't care for their indoor area - with TV-s playing game and lacking decor. Service was great, friendly, Sam took care of us, he was nice, kind, attentive! Had their Mac Brown, a darker nice beer, smooth and started our feast with their nachos, we added chicken on which was a great decision since it was marinated and freshly grilled, you could taste the nice flavors right away. Great guacamole in top, a fun dish! We continued with the fried dill pickles (they come with Ranch and Sriracha sauce), very nice, had fried pickles before (in the South) and they were too greasy. Not here, crisp and tasty, lightly breaded. We finished with the onion rings tower, panko crusted, delicious flavor! They have locations in Ventura and Carpinteria! Great food and beer, nice service, very chill and relaxing. Rincon proved me right, gave us the fun, laid back experience we needed! Cheers to that, Mac Brown in hand!

This brewery was on my list of several to try since I was scheduled to work the upcoming Santa Barbara International Film Festival. I loved beer and was always thrilled to visit a brewery new to me. Were their libations a brighter spot on what was a darker day!? PURCHASE Cetaceans Dry Hopped Marzen Lager Beer 5.2% ABV 16floz Draft ($7.75): Rich golden amber color, floral malty aroma, low body, light malty flavor, smooth finish, and light malty aftertaste. These were really good, I wasn't a fan of the somewhat watery ranch dipping sauce, and the "mere" seven rings surprisingly filled you up. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=n3NQ7J8Q1Uw6j6G1t3CLGw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Bates Blonde Fish + Chips ($17.00 + $2.00): Bates (their own beer) blonde-battered cod with a choice of housemade potato chips or french fries (I opted for these), I was impressed by the three thick darker brown pieces of fish and a pile of golden crispy crunchy spud sticks. This was a hot plate, and early bites of everything released soft whispers of steam. The cod was meaty, moist, lightly seasoned, and honestly didn't require the provided tarter dipping sauce (I used it for the fries). My only issue was that the fries weren't included, so in actuality this was a "fish plus chips" meal. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=fpuwzGbFwXqCwOdssuTSbw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Coastal American Lager Beer 5.5% ABV 16floz Can 4pk ($11.99): Bright amber color, citrusy lime malty aroma, low body, citrusy lime malty salty flavor, crisp effervescent finish, and light citrusy lime aftertaste. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=FCS5RuJzpdwz2VstJ8wlbA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 9th Anniversary Fleurs De Mer Saison Farmhouse Ale Beer 6.1% ABV 16.9floz Bottle ($9.00): Dark amber color, fruity tart yeast aroma, low body, earthy fruity tart yeast flavor, crisp drying finish, and light earthy fruity aftertaste. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=oUt_RJDUeFzIqfUlwzLMuQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Stickers (Varied; COMP this instance): I loved stickers and enjoyed placing them at other breweries to spread the love! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-E-QPl_6n-LQGn-Y3zrvoQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young man behind the bar where I sat. PARKING (FREE) Street parking only, I found a spot along the main drag of Santa Barbara St. while there were plenty on other surrounding roads - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located in the "Funk Zone", the interior was an open spacious layout, a ton of places to sit, a multi-sided bar with barstools, and various surfboards hung on the walls. There was also a large exposed outdoor patio. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large windows, obviously plenty outside, while various electric ceiling lights filled in the rest inside while decorative string lights outside. There were two TVs while Emo music (e.g. Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Sum 41) played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=O-v3lFvwpLlljOvdH7CpVw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Rincon Brewery ended my day on a positive note, and I would love to return and try more of their beers. Their food was lovely and appreciated, they had a happy hour (MO-TH), it was a relaxing place, the service was very good, and the beer prices were comparable (beer flights also available). The food menu was varied and not just bar snacks. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $71.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
