What is JIM ELLIS CHEVROLET ATLANTA HIDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I scheduled an appointment for my 2025…read moreTraverse b/c it was overheating & idling rough. Upon arrival 4-1-2026, I spoke with several different service staff members who both lied by stating they were my scheduled service advisor. Then, I was passed along to another staff person, then another staff person, who then told me that I would be issued a loaner vehicle after I provide my driver's license and a copy of my auto insurance declarations page and a credit card, issued a loaner. Day 2, no call from Lauren Cusson service advisor. Day 3, I call Lauren, who states your vehicle is ready for pick up, no diagnostic test was performed, but a video inspection of the vehicle revealed the upper coolant hose leaking coolant, they replaced the hose because they had a new hose already in stock, they test drove the vehicle and now is ready for pick up. Keynote: (The vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty). On 4-3-26, I return to retrieve my vehicle, I was provided with a multi-point inspection report indicating that my engine oil condition was "OK". However, I later discovered that my vehicle was in fact about 600 miles over do for an oil change at the time of inspection and coolant hose repair service. This discrepancy is both concerning and unacceptable. To better understand the situation, I contacted Service manager Thomas Webb and requested an explanation. I was informed that I should have been notified that the vehicle would need attention soon". This response does not adequately address the core issue; the inspection report itself was inaccurate and failed to reflect the true condition of my vehicle, no diagnostic test was performed but they claim the coolant hose was leaking coolant and they had the part in stock and changed it which was causing the vehicle overheating, the complaint for rough idling was never address and still exists. A multi - point inspection and proper diagnostic testing is intended to provide customers with reliable and transparent information to make an informed maintenance decision. Provide incorrect or misleading information undermines trust and raises serious concerns about both the competence and honesty of the service process and service repairs. Because of the dishonesty and the circumstances, I experienced at Jim Ellis I formally requested both verbally and in writing a complete, itemized history of all maintenance, repairs, and warranty claims performed on my Traverse. Jim Ellis Chevrolet Atlanta, has refused to provide me with these documents. Service manager Thomas Webb called my cell phone and left a voice mail message stating that service advisor Lauren emailed me the requested documents this is COMPLETELY FALSE. I called Thomas back an informed that Lauren Cusson had not emailed me the requested documents as stated in his voice mail. Thomas stated, ok when she comes back to her desk I will have her email you the documents, it's only a few, I think you only had service here a few times". I never received the documents. As stated before "WHAT IS JIM ELLIS HIDING"? Release the files, Jim Ellis Chevrolet Atlanta. Release the files.

I used the same dealership, same lender, same everything and still they will not release my GAP refund check. I can not in good faith refer friend and family to them any longer. I sent management emails explaining the situation and was told they would handle this immediately and still nothing. I have made 2 payments on the new car and still no GAP refund. I am disappointed after being a loyal customer that Jim Ellis can not keep the Jim Ellis Promise : Treat you like family Listen to your needs Respond adequately to your needs Exceed your expectations Do better Jim Ellis - You had a lifelong customer I hope you treat others better.. do better

Unfortunately this is not our experience. He made highly questionable choices in how to speak to and treat customers and became belligerent and disrespectful. Like a switch that went between "appropriate" and "inappropriate". We look forward to future dealings but we won't be working with him.

The total was around $600, which immediately seemed high, so I specifically asked whether all services were absolutely necessary. I was told yes, so I signed based on that explanation. After signing, I was informed I had approved a bundled package that included multiple unnecessary additive services that are not part of Honda's required maintenance, described as "recommended for the Atlanta area." When I declined them, I was told they could not be removed and that I would still have to pay in order to retrieve my vehicle. I also felt pressured and spoken to as if I should have known better for questioning the cost. This process involved presenting a total without clear itemization, verbally framing optional services as necessary, and then holding the customer to the full bundled price after the fact. It is not transparent and does not reflect proper informed consent. I will not be returning.

And I will only buy my next car from them. Sincerely, Val C.

This is why the "upcharges" that i often pay, i don't mention or ask about. I rather pay the price of functionality than be stranded on the side of the road with a million drivers passing me by. Until, i was bamboozled to believe that what was need on my vehicle was a $5000+ purchase! YES!! For a 2012. But its ok. My only advise for women that come alone to the dealership, you have to expect that the warning that women are charged more is true, but before you break your bag for a purchase, make sure to get a 2nd opinion OR bring your knowledge. When I was charged and paid $5000+ and they didn't explain the situation had NOT been fixed, i decided that would be my last visit. I enjoyed my service tech rep, but since he is the one that gamed me on the service, I no-longer visit the location. All the other service members can stand to improve their customer service approaches, but that's of no consequence. People will be people. Yes, the service is either a hit or a miss; so choose your rep wisely. Know that if you have, what i assume is an assigned tech that has assisted you in the past, others techs will hesitate to help you, willingly. If you are a female, most of the reps are happy to help but you will be up-charged or treated rudely if you refuse their suggested service! Try to come with a guy, or a knowledgeable girl, if you can. Also i read the other reviews, but you decide how you feel specifically because the responses to reviews are only for "good" reviews. I have left good reviews in the past, so i'm not disgruntled but i want to be honest. I don't want any other female to be taken advantage of...but life is life. Don't break the bank to get service. If you have an older model infinity, i'll give you an excellent shop that won't break your bank. I didn't give a score of one-star because as i stated at the start of the review, I've been coming for 10+ years.
