I had a very bad experience with these people this morning. Went in on yesterday mid day and spoke to the manager/owner and asked him about getting a tuneup for my 21 Infiniti QX80. He quoted me a price and told me if I brought it in the morning he would have it back the same day. They open at 7am I was there at 7:45am and was told he could not do it today. What a total waste of my time and huge inconvenience. This is the second establishment this week in East Cobb on Johnson Ferry that did not honor there commitment. I never imagined that a workshop would find it so difficult to simply drive a vehicle for 10 or 15 miles to ensure it is in proper working condition. I lost $1,000--that can be recovered. Went in one day for an oil change, nothing else. It was later in the day. I think towards their closing time. I asked for an oil change. The work sitting behind the front desk clerk was playing on his phone but immediately started shaking his head no to my request. He then openly stated something to the effect of "I am getting off at 6 today" They got me in and oil changed. But just gave the "lazy workmanship vibes" Seemed a bit more pricy than other places as well. read more

Our Jeep always needs something done to it. That's beauty of Magic Mike's is that they can literally fix anything. He took our 2008 Jeep Wrangler in to be repaired. And had a couple things wrong with it and we had already self diagnose to figure out the issue. Mike has been taking care of my vehicles now for 14 years (with the exception of a few years when I was out of state), since this shop was called Eddie's Automotive and Mike was the manager. Once Eddie passed away, he purchased the shop from the family and renamed it. He's got the best pricing around, does good work, and has really taken care of my vehicle over the years - going above and beyond when I needed it (like coming to my Dunwoody home when my car was dead to bring me a new battery). I now live in Loganville, but I still drive to Sandy Springs to take my vehicle to him because of the long history of friendly, honest, and fair work. I really wanted to like this place. The reviews here are good, and I see the Sandy Springs police have a lot of their cars serviced there. Unfortunately, I had an all around bad experience. Called a few days before to make an appointment. No one picked up initially. I called back a few hours and got someone to let them know I'd stop by in the morning to get my AC checked. Show up next morning, I said I had an appointment. Guy at counter didn't seem to care or look it up. He was super friendly with the previous costumer, so I'm guessing she was a regular. I informed him exactly what was going on. And I'm no mechanic, but I Googled my car's car's symptoms, and figured it was something with the condenser. My air would cool for 5 mins, then give out, and sporadically come back on and off if I could cruise on the highway. If it was start and stop, then I'd be suffering with hot air blowing in my face. I also said I checked for leaks, even placing buckets under my car, and found no leakage. Next day, car is ready. Guy at counter said they re-filled my Freon, and that it's blowing cold again. I get in, turn it on, and the air is extra cold early. But after I get back a few miles on the road, the air is hot again. So, it seems they didn't listen to me, or really investigate things deeper, or even cared to win over a new customer. I really wanted to have my own local shop to take my car to, but since I could not trust this place to do, I took it to the dealership. They said my compressor was indeed faulty, replaced it, and I've been back in cool A/C ever since. read more

i was a long-time customer of 'fast eddie' and have known of magic mike since eddie passed away, but until now had never had occassion to enter their doors. this changed quickly when i needed to have my car towed from st joseph's hospita and considering the tow distance, had the vehicle delivered to mike. mike, with the assistance of his mechanic, jose, replaced my alternator and even threw-in another minor repair to my sun-roof shade cover. my question to the manager on-duty, was: does your shop not provide shop towels or even a wash-room for your mechanics? after arriving home, a 40 +/- mile trek, i was thouroughly shocked and totally p.o.'d that there was mechanic grease throughout the interior and even on the driver's door exteroir. my career has provided me years of interaction with other's homes and would never leave a mess, out of respect for them or for my own image. called the shop when back home and was offered a clean-up if i returned the auto to their shop. that was rejected as the drive involved over an additional hour due to distance and traffic. in conclusion, i will warn anyone considering use of magic mike' automotive to arrive with plenty of time to inspect your vehicle prior to paying and/or leaving the area. i'm reasonably positive they respect your money but not you or your vehicle. there are numeous choices for repair, choose another. i admit i am an old u.s. marine and expect everyone to perform their duty to the highest standard but these guys perform as though the have no standards. pride in workmanship is not inherent with birth, but sloven results are the worst impression anyone can provide. as i informed the manager by phone after arriving home, magic mike will only see me again as i drive past, never again as a customer. signed: sgt.united states marine corps, 18 june 2024 @ 1122 hours read more

My family has been going to Eddie's for years on our non-warranteed cars. Eddie is actually the guy you deal with here. He runs the counter and the shop and is about as honest as they come. Eddie will tell you what is a necessity to have repaired and what can wait, unlike many repair shops that are out for a quick buck. Meh. I've experienced better. (Officially, the definition of 2 stars.) I tried this place because it's close to my home and there are so many raving reviews out there. They seem to have a great reputation. I felt disappointed though. Here are TWO positives. - The work that was done to my car seemed professional and accurate. I got new pads and rotors for the front brakes and they are solid. He also replaced two belts under the hood. (I knew these were old and would require replacement as a preventative maintenance.) - Eddie (the front counter guy) was polite and informative. Now for TWO negatives. - Scheduling was a big issue for me. I called a week in advance, letting them know what day I'd like to drop it off. When I got there, I could barely get into the parking lot, much less find a parking spot. With that many cars around, I had a bad feeling. Sure enough, it was a full day and a half before they could even look at my car. Maybe you have to get here first thing Monday morning? - I needed them to find the cause of the fuel smell and they couldn't find it. They had the car for 2.5 days and it was never solved. I dropped the car off for 3 hours at a different shop that I trusted and it was fixed for $40. Eddie's failed me there. read more

Good luck, I really mean GOOD LUCK with those jack legs. I have been taking my truck there for years and almost everytime my truck has to come back. that cost me time and money ( rentals). They incompletely and incorrectly diagnose the cars problem and always...always...always halfway fix it. Eddie's Automotive is the best place to take your car. Period. They are honest, salt of the earth people who don't give you any lip service when you take your car in. I went in to get my tires rotated and they told me not to worry about it because my good tires were in the front and going to undergo more wear if rotated. They advised I come back. I did, and the tire rotation cost me 15 bucks. The work they do is built to last, and they have gained a lifelong advocate. read more

The air conditioner wasn't working. I called Mikes and asked if I could bring it in when I could wait for it. It took a couple if days but I brought it in and they fixed It as I waited. I had a check engine light that came on a couple of days ago. I usually take the car to Dekalb and have rarely walked out of that place for less that $150 for even the most minor issues plus I have to leave the car there for the whole day. Went to Mike's today for the first time at noon, met Dustin in the office who immediately did a test and said that the fuel cap was faulty and asked me to just close it tight and viola the problem went. Then gave me some advise on how to deal with it, if the problem persists. It was the most hassle free in and out of a car mechanic shop I've ever experienced, that too at noon on a Monday afternoon. I also noticed they seem to have cop cars being serviced which makes sense. This is the first time I've been to a mechanic who got me in an out with me actually understanding what was happening, rather than the vague upselling experience. read more

We went there twice to try to get some routine maintenance done on our vehicle and both times were turned away by an attitude that seemed to suggest he would be doing us a favor to even look at our car. I understand that sometimes dealing with customers can be frustrating, but in no way does that excuse being rude or curt with first time patrons who are simply inquiring about getting some service done. From the moment I walked into this place, the man at the front was so rude. He did not seem to care about my issue and told me he did not have time. I asked him a question about my car and he proceeded to lecture me on car care. After coming out to look at my car briefly he left looking for another mechanic and left me out there wondering what was going on for 15 minutes. I finally went back in and there he was helping someone else. I understand being busy but kindness matters especially in customer service. The man continued to ignore me and I finally just left. I am not leaving my car with people who don't care or have time for customers. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Worst customer service experience ever. read more
