Most pleasant oil change ever. Also purchased a cabin filter and wow, was mine awful. I also had my coolant flushed - they presented a visual that showed how watered down mine was. My oil light came on in my car. It was almost time for my next oil change, but I was not near my regular facility. I went and bought a quart of oil, but was unable to put it in because the cap in the car would not come off the place where you put the oil in. I pulled into this Take 5 location. Tommy and his crew said they could help me. First, he handed me a nice cold bottle of water. Then, they were able to get off the cap and pour the oil in until I could get to my next oil change. And if that wasn't nice enough, Tommy then washed my windshield. They didn't charge me anything for this, as I had already bought the oil elsewhere. I waited in my car for 48 minutes while every new car drove up they got to work. 5 cars got serviced while I waited behind a truck with problems. When I called over to the guy to say that it was rude and unfair he told me to stop cussing, I wasn't even cussing. 5 Minute...NEVER AGAIN Avoid unless you want to waste your time! read more

A new policy they have adopted is to print reminder stickers to return after 3,000 miles. What they don't tell you is that is to check and top your fluids for free. I made the mistake of just going off that number and caught it mid oil change. Ended up spending $150 on an oil change (which seems expensive anyway) at least 3,000 miles earlier than necessary... I called and they said they could have been clearer on the sticker. I honestly doubt this is an honest mistake... It is convenient for their revenue obviously. Would stronlgly suggest that you NOT go to Take 5 on Johnson Ferry Rd. I was there yesterday, for the second time, and was directed to go to another Take 5 because they didn't have anyone who could change the oil in a Mercedes! The person I spoke was not customer friendly and left me hanging while he spoke on the phone I believe he was the only person there. The store is up on a hill with a single entry so when I tried to leave there was another car blocking the driveway so I had to wait until that car pulled into a bay after they had a discussion about the service needed. All in all, I don't know how this location stays in business if they can't change the oil in a car then has terrible customer service on top of that! A new Valvoline is at the corner of JF and Roswell going there from now on!! read more

The first two times I took my car to Take 5 the experience was awesome. Since then I have attempted to take my car in for an oil change seven times between the three locations near my home. Each time I was turned away for different reasons that ranged from a three hour wait, the lightning took out the computer, "we're not taking any more customers today" at 3:00 pm and now "we don't have the tool required to remove your filter". This was stated before I even pulled up to the service door. I don't understand how a company can operate while turning away business. Enough said, I'm off to find another place for an oil change. read more

If I could leave a less than one star review then I would. Do not bring your car here for an oil change. They stripped the bolts on my oil pan cover because they used a machine to remove them with too much torque. When I tried to stop them they told me not to worry that they had replacement bolts. A few days later it was hanging loose and I stopped by the Honda dealership to have them put it back. It turns out the damaged it and it needed to be replaced. Total cost is over $200. I tried calling their claims department and was told the district manager would be contacting me shortly. I am still waiting on that phone call. My advice is to just avoid this place. There is a reason that their star level is low. read more

I usually do oil changes on my own and now I will never have anyone do them ever again. First they were almost completely empty and still managed to be goofing around during my entire oil change. Only one guy was actually helping me. When it was time for my next oil change I realized they over torqued the bolt into the pan. I had to use an impact wrench to get it out. The internal threads were completely ruined. I could not get the bolt to re-tighten. This oil change is now costing me $150 in repairs. Save your money. These people obviously don't care about ruining your car. If the owner is reading this, I'd really love to have my money back because I now have to replace the entire pan. read more

My wife just got her oil changed at the East Cobb (Johnson Ferry) location. A whopping $73.99 for an oil change and didn't even include the filter - that was an additional $12.99!! I'm surprised they didn't charge her for the wiper fluid and air in the tires! Needless to say we will never go back to Take 5 Oil Change - our Lexus mechanic only charges $55 and that includes the filter and all fluids etc. - almost a C-note ($100) for an oil change - absolute "financial rape"! Buyer beware - I would/will change myself before ever gracing this punitive business! read more

We did show up 5 minutes before they closed, but it should only take 5 minutes. I enjoy how they provide free purified water to the customer's ! The basic package is always the way to go. You can't be the competitive price of affordable. Wayne did terrific on the oil change. John was knowledgeable; Acworth people can have a great sincere personality. This company completely scammed him by talking down all of their services saying that if he wants his car to make it to it's next stop, he shouldn't go with bottom service. We did not have to wait, we were able to get into a bay immediately. They got the oil changed, checked tire pressure, checked the filters and the whole shebang...but it took them 25 minutes....not 5 (or ten minutes as they state). They seemed a little disorganized and all over the place. I would have given a much higher rating if they had been a little quicker. Maybe have a sign that can be updated if the process is going to take longer then stated. read more

Went to the location on Johnson Ferry where I have been before. I pulled around back to enter the bay. All three bays were blocked off with an orange cone and parked cars were taking up at least half the available space in the back. At first I thought they were closed then noticed 4 or 5 employees sitting in their cars. An employee got out of a car, moved the cone and motioned me in. My truck is a crew cab and it's difficult to maneuver and it was impossible to enter the bay with the way their cars were parked. The employee tried again to motion me in and I told him at least three times they're going to have to move their cars. He shook his head and continue to motion me in until I hit the rail running along the side. He then told me to back up and started laughing - and again tried to maneuver me in. No thank you. That was enough. Will not be back. read more

Never Again!!!!! I had been to this location before and I never had any issues. This time around, all they wanted to do was upsell me on the type of oil change I needed to have. I usually get the base oil change which is perfectly fine for the vehicle I drive. I pulled in and I opened the hood and the gentleman came to my window and basically told me that I needed to get the more expensive oil due to my engine. I told him that the basic one would be fine and again, he proceeded to make false claims about using the lower Castrol oil vs the more expensive Castrol oil. I did not like or appreciated the approach but I was also in a hurry so I said OK to go with the more $$$ oil. I left pretty annoyed. I will not be coming back and I suggest you do not either. Took our car in to get an oil change on the morning of 12/2. We took a short trip to Louisville and back. When leaving work the next morning the car started smoking and shut off. When the tow truck arrived there was no oil in the car. After taking it to a local shop and determining that the oring on the oil filter was installed incorrectly. Take 5 has refused to pay for any repairs on the vehicle. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING. read more

Went to get oil change and got home and leaked oil all over my driveway. went back and was told they messed up and could not fix it and to take it to a shop. Took it to shop to fix the issue they made and took it back for a refund because I had to make multiple trips to fix my car and have a large oil stain on my driveway. The manager refused to give me any refund and any apology for the money and time I lost. i was also told by an employee that this manager threatened to punch an employee and he quit so they were short staffed. Horrible service from manager no wonder they are short staffed. read more

First time here. Typical quick oil change place, done while you are in the car. Brought 12years/100000miles old car for my high school kid. They automatically trying to use $80 synthetic oil without explanation. Told them to use a regular oil, still cost me $40. They also pulled out the air filter from the passenger's side and showed me it was dirty. It was dirty and agreed to replace it. It was my fault that I did not ask the price for the filter. (They, of course did not tell me either) When paying the bill, I found the air filter was over $40. I complained but they explained the filter was top of the line product and would last 100,000miles. Took my F-150 here for its semi-Annual oil change (synthetic). It's a fairly tight area requiring some backing up/forward to get in line with the bays, but as long as they don't have cars in the back parking spots, it do-able. But the team was efficient and communicative. Didn't try to upsell me too much, which is refreshing. Because I get the synthetic and I have a big-ol engine that needs 6 quarts of oil, mine was a bit pricey ($80 w$10 discount coupon) but they have a number of oil options. Overall, great experience. Got none of the services promised by the ads and when I called beforehand. The attendant didn't know how to turn on the computer so I was told I had to pay cash. Thank goodness I did get some new oil. I took the survey and shared my experience. The Regional Manager contracted me and offered 50% off on my next oil change; I told him that was an insufficient offer for the extremely poor service I received. Never heard back. This is a shame because this location is so convenient for me; would have used them regularly had I been shown that my business was valuable to them. read more
