Truly top notch experience at every step of the way from setting up the original walk through and estimate appointment with the owner (the topic of my first review), through scheduling the work to be done, through completion of the work. The owner, Dennis, did the estimate and then my husband scheduled a time with Tina, in the office, that was several weeks out, waiting for the cool weather needed for tree care. A couple of weeks prior to the work being done, Tina called to confirm the date and time. Since part of the work involved removing a tree and grinding out the stump, a few days before the date of work, Tina had a company come to do a utilities location check, that is to be certain there were not utility lines at risk of being disturbed in the work. (I used to work for a public utility to know how important this step is and it is amazing how many contractors don't do it.) On the scheduled date, the crew showed up on time, four men with the tools they needed and the owner present to do the walk through and discuss the work and with a foreman present for the duration of the work. Everything was expertly done and every single bit of debris cleaned up before the crew left. Dennis came back as the work was being finished to do a quality control walk through. Made an online request for an estimate and was promptly contacted by Tina. Set up a date/time for Dennis to come out and provide an estimate. Had 3 overgrown trees needed trimming but I work nights on a weird schedule so Mondays were the best option. Dennis gave me an estimate and said they would see what they could schedule. Fast forward a couple of weeks. I have a missed call from Tina saying they can get to me in the afternoon. Unfortunately by the time I saw the message the crew already moved out of the area. Everyone we dealt with, from Dennis the owner to Teena on the telephone, was pleasant and professional. At the time the work was done, quite a few cut branches fell into a neighbor's yard. They cleared out those branches as well as all the others. The shrub needed to be removed, and they did a great job with that, too. Needed removal of two river birches in our backyard. Tina handled our request and set up an estimate which was done quickly. The crew was lined up for quite a while ahead, but arrived on time on the scheduled day, and quickly checked to see exactly what needed to be done. They removed a gate to get easier access to the back yard, and went right to work. Things were done as we had asked, and they did a good cleanup afterward. Yes, they put the gate back in place! We had Meridian Tree Service remove three of our old trees. We contacted Meridian Tree based upon the recommendation of my neighbor who has hired them a couple of times. Two of our trees were sick, and needed to come out. One of them was healthy, but was planted too close to the house (Who planted it that close, I wonder? Oh wait, that was me! Doh!) They also ground out one of the stumps. They had a crew of guys who came in and made short-order of the three trees. They cleaned up AMAZINGLY, and you could hardly tell that any work had been done. It was like three trees just disappeared. We immediately planted another smaller tree in the spot where the stump got grounded out, so that job appeared to be well done too. All in all, while it was sad to see our trees go, the experience with Meridian Tree Service was excellent! They cleaned up all debris AND even blew 30 years worth of juniper needles off of the corrugated patio cover, which were packed down and stuck like glue. Wonderful service! I called for an estimate for some work on some old trees in my moms yard and Dennis came right out. We had questions about some of the older trees in the yard and he answered all our questions, recommending which ones were diseased and should be removed and which ones were healthy and could stay with a good pruning. He explained each option and "showed" us the state of all the trees, (didn't just wave a hand and say "this has to go" and "this can stay" like others had done.) He explained the condition of each tree and what our options were. This was very helpful and informative. We immediately accepted their bid and set up an appointment. Dennis and Tyler showed up on the scheduled day and started right in on the work. During the whole process, when we would stick our "nosey-parker" outside, Dennis answered all our dumb questions and explained what was going on. It took them one afternoon and the following morning to complete the work. One tree was up and over the roof of the deck and another was out over the fence into the neighbors yard and not a single branch touched our deck roof or the fence. A few of the branches that fell into the neighbors yard, were promptly removed and cleaned up. It was amazing to watch. My mom was so impressed with their professionalism and how well they treated us, especially with her being an 82 year old woman, that she decided Dennis was her new best friend! Not once did Dennis talk down to us or dismiss our annoying, curious questions.
