These guys are prompt (takes 5 hours to do a big job instead of 3 days), professional (they don't shower with my hose), and dedicated (they arrive promptly at 9 and work their butts off). We needed two trees removed from the back yard, including grinding of the stumps, plus another stump from a tree removed years ago needed to be ground. We have a big pine tree in the front yard whose limbs were dropping needles into and filling up our rain gutters several times a year. ATC cut them back so that they did not overhang the roof and gutters. They removed all of the branches and trunk pieces and cleaned up after themselves very nicely. We had a variety of problems. A gigantic maple that needed to come down, another gigantic tree that had to come down without destroying the building it was leaning over, and fruit trees that we debated removing because they looked so old and decrepit. I watched the team all day. It was fascinating. I am an engineer and I was fascinated by the technical details of the process. They were efficient, safe, and just astonishingly competent. They used appropriate equipment for each aspect of the job, but didn't use anything that wasn't necessary. So, the job was done well but not at excessive cost or risk to the staff. I'm also, and I admit this is strange for an engineer, a people person. And I just enjoyed these guys so much. They were really nice to me, my friend (another fascinated engineer) and my pesky little dog. They were always careful to make sure I had my dog before they moved machinery. I was sad when they left! They also worked together really well. It was like watching a well choreographed dance.  They were always moving, and often doing different things, but they were always aware of each other.  There were pieces of tree falling that weighed hundreds of pounds, plus plenty of branches that weighed less but were equally lethal.  And the way they kept it safe was practiced and effortless.  They treated each other with respect, no matter who was senior or junior. You know you're getting good work when a team functions that well. My property looks great.  They left it with less debris lying around than there was when they started.  I didn't pay to have the large pieces of wood removed, so they stacked them neatly and out of the way, without being asked.  My apple trees look amazing.   I am so happy I found these guys and will use them to maintain the health of my trees from now on. People balk at paying a company like this for the work, because sometimes you can get someone to come in and do it for much less.  But that person is not going to be as safe because they won't have the right equipment, they won't be insured, if they get hurt on your property you are liable, and they might not know the subtleties of tree care.  It's totally worth it, for their safety and for the health and care of your property. read more

We had A Tree Company remove 2 dying plum trees, thin/prune 2 50' plus trees and trim a long row of 15' high overgrown bushes. The crew did a wonderful job. The work and clean up were all first rate. We could not be happier. My wife was very nervous about the tree thinning as they provide shade for our west facing patio. They made sure to maintain a good level of shade. Erik and his team must be as good as it gets. I purchased a property with a lot of trees. Twenty-two of them are 50 ft+ tall and had been neglected for years. Two needed to be removed. I asked Erik to provide a quote that we could break into phases. He provide a quote that beat all other quotes by a lot. We decided to do 14 trees first and then 8 trees, including 2 removals several weeks later. On both occasions, he and his team arrived on schedule, got straight to work and left the grounds even neater than when they arrived. The work on the trees was professional, and quite beautiful. We hired A Tree Company to remove an eighty foot stretch of junipers that were 20' high. One dirty and ugly job. They came in early in the morning and we're done before I got to my second cup of coffee! Okay- maybe not that quickly, but they were done in less than three hours and did a fabulous and professional job. The crew was hard working and efficient and the clean up is 100%. The fee for this removal and stump grinding job was very fair and we are extremely happy with the job. We will not hesitate to call them again for any tree work on our property. I second what other reviewers said about A Tree company being the best out there. We have had a lot of trees taken down over the years by different companies and Erik and his team came highly recommended by both our Realtor and neighbor. Hands down there is no comparison. Erik and his team were the best! Erik is knowledgeable, honest, reasonably priced. He doesn't take more down than he has to just to make more. He listened to what we wanted and was careful to navigate our property and sprinkler heads with his equipment. We had huge willow trees removed last week and not a trace of them left with the stumps ground! They were so efficient and clean! Our yard has never looked so good. Communication was great. Erik and his assistant did a great job removing a 50' Ailtanthusa Tree (Tree of Heaven) at my son's home that was in a difficult location next to a fence and the neighbors vehicle, which could not be moved. In two hours they carefully dismantled the tree and lowered the branches without touching the fence of vehicles. When they finished, they did a complete cleanup of the area. An outstanding work at a reasonable price, there might be cheaper companies, but I am sure they would not have done such a professional job. read more

Erik and his team are amazing! We bought a house with a yard full of trees, and he told me what the name of each and every tree is, AND what care and trimming would be best for them. He and his team removed enough branches to clear the roof and house, but did not butcher the trees like I have seen many other tree trimming companies do. We still have shade, and our yard looks beautiful!
