The workers arrived on time and did the work requested. Three stars because 1) the workers walked on my dormant winter ground cover plants--even when I pointed it out to them. They are hardy, so they most likely will recover in the spring; and 2) worker forgot to slice a cross wedge in the stump of the health tree I had removed to prevent suckers growing up around the stump. When I asked, the worker then cut the wedge in the stump. read more

They did such a good job and they were so reasonable in price that we decided to have some more work done. In order to get a good angle, they had to go through a gate and set up in the yard. What ??? I was a nervous wreck. Short story: it was flawless, again. Not one piece of my neighbor's property was harmed. Incredible. Long version: Dave, the operator, was totally confident and fearless. Granted, this is a cool machine but it IS a 6000# robot that Dave said he was going to drive into my neighbor's yard. My neighbor, equally confident, went along with this. (I am running through disaster scenarios in my head) Happy ending. Both my neighbor and I are thrilled with the outcome. The Sawtooth Team is efficient & attentive to details and cleanup following projects. They are all always courteous & respectful of owners properties. Sawtooth was contracted to firewise the entire length of the Rim of Surprise Valley last year, a huge project. Working in 100+ degree heat, they removed literally tons of sagebrush and noxious weeds and have subsequently started a remediation program. They also did a small project previous to that for me. Unfortunately I cannot truly rate their work other to say that I apparently wasted an afternoon and time to schedule a visit to examine the jobs we wanted done. We wAnted quotes on an elaborate front yard makeover, expansive raised beds, and sprinkler repairs and a new garden drip system. Whatever the case, we never heard back from Dave after his visit. In my mind it was a waste of my time. I would have appreciated a response even if the job wasn't one they wanted. So, bummer..oh well. We'll find someone who wants to take our job read more

Nothing but praise for these guys! We had been trying for a year to get someone to remove our sketchy tree before we found Sawtooth Tree Service. It was big, in an inconvenient location , and decaying inside. They came, they climbed, they conquered! It took them one day to do a two day job and they cleaned everything up and replaced the things that had gotten a little banged up from the big tree limbs. Dave and his crew did an outstanding job safely bringing down a large dead tree next our house. He came well-prepared with a solid strategy and all the necessary equipment to accomplish this complicated task in a very efficient manner and at a very reasonable cost. Dave is highly skilled in climbing, rigging and tree cutting and it was fascinating watching him work. I also greatly appreciated his thorough clean-up of all the branch debris and willingness to do this job on a Sunday to squeeze me into his busy schedule. The Owner, Dave Graham, came out and provided me a quote to trim 3 trees on my property. As he was leaving, he indicated someone would be contacting me to schedule a date for trimming. After almost 2 weeks without a call, I reached out to him to schedule. He responded to my call asking me to text him a copy of the quote he provided; which I did. I never received a response following my text. I called and text Dave a couple more times the following week; no response. This was extremely disappointing as I chose to have them provide me a quote and service based on the high YELP reviews. I got the impression the quote wasn't high enough to make it worth his while to complete the job; however communication would have gone a long way. read more

We have several trees in the backyard and once in a while, they require trimming and cutting. Several years back, a friend referred us to Dave from Sawtooth Landscape & Tree Service and we remembered we were very happy with his service back then. Late last year, we decided it was the time once again to get our trees trimming but we have misplaced his contact info so we asked for the estimate from 3 different companies. Unbeknown to us, Sawtooth Landscape was among the three company we contacted for estimate. When Dave came to our house to give an estimate, my husband immediately recognized him. By then we already knew we would choose his company but decided to wait for the estimate from other company we contacted. And we were not the least surprise that his estimate was the most reasonable and affordable. Dave gave us an impeccable service with true professionalism and we have found him to be the most reliable and trustworthy. We referred Dave to several of our friends but it never occur to us that we should write a review ......until a friend who used his service recently (and was so impressed with his service) prompted us to write a review about our experience.
