I would not allow this vendor to do any yard work ever. This project has been a disaster from the get-go with Liquid 208. I have never been so disappointed in a vendor.
We have been dealing with this lawn renovations since July 22, and are still waiting to see the results after sinking close to $2,000 for the promises made on Facebook Ad. So far, it is still a waiting game, and the odds are not looking good.
This is the experience we have had.
After contacting company and putting down 50% deposit the date and time was set for 7/22 at 9AM. Confirmation was sent the day before as a reminder.
The evening before I arrived back home from work at 7:30 PM to find 16 yards of soil in the middle of the driveway - with no heads up that it was being delivered that day.
On 7/22 received a text message saying the crew would be there between 9 AM - 11 AM. At 11:04 AM I reached out to the company to ask what the ETA was for the crew arrival and was told that they are "on their way".
At 12:15 PM I called the company and asked ETA as well as location and was told they should be arriving shortly.
At 12:30 PM I had to leave to go to work so my husband came home to wait for the crew. They finally arrived at 3:45 PM and did a hurried and sloppy job.
A day later I noticed multiple transactions on my credit card - charges then credits. I had no idea what was going on with the increased activity so checked the credit card statement. Liquid 208, in addition to the full payment of the job, had charged my card again for the same job - now doubling the amount. There were credits made to correct it, but it would have been nice (and more professional) to have the business reach out and contact me rather than getting notifications from my bank and having to figure out what all the credit card activity was like.
Fast forward one week and the yard looks like Beirut with a massive amount of sand and no grass growth, and most of the sprinkler heads in the back need to be readjusted as they were knocked off of their setting. I reached out to the owner multiple times about the grass not growing, and was told that the grass takes 2-3 weeks to grow. That wasn't the case. Too much sand in the mix and not enough topsoil. He told me to take pictures and send them to him. What would have been a better thing to do was for the owner to come out and see the results of the job and have a quicker response rather than going back and forth with multiple text messages. Finally, the crew did come back and reapplied more topsoil and apparently grass seeds.
Now we have grass growing in the gravel area of our front yard that will take a least four hours to remove - seemed that this area was over sprayed with seed and sand, so now we have grass growing where we don't want it to grow, and in others no grass growing.
A month into this ordeal and we have about a 10% growth on the areas planted in the backyard, the front yard is still a hot mess, so off to Zamzow's we go to try and fix the dirt/sand patches that are not growing. And we just noticed the side of the hot tub has a black scratch on it about two feet long from the equipment they used.
When you hire a vendor and pay good money, they are supposed to take a pain point and create a solution or deliver a service. This experience has been none of that. read more
