I cannot say enough good things about this place. The ambiance/decor are amazing. It's homey but also modern with great natural light. The food is incredible, a perfect mix of Italian and southern. Got the Hot Tots. PERFECTION THEMSELVES. the Pimento cheese is delicious and the tots somehow don't get soggy? Magic. For an entree I got the Linguini. It was homemade (awesome) and all the ingredients were perfectly cooked. Brocollini and little crispies and chili flakes and A PERFECTLY POACHED EGG. I also tried some of the signature pizza. Amazing. Crispy and flavorful. All the drinks were also amazing. I had their version of a moscow mule. The food is exceptional here. Asian food with a mixture of southern style food. Ambiance is exceptional can bring your family or having a private dinner. I had such a good time with my friends here. I wish I could give a 3.5 -- but.. it wouldn't allow me.. and the ONLY reason, it's not a 4 was because of the owner's attitude.. here's my story. Went for the first time last night.. the food was GREAT! The Service was WONDERFUL.. the atmosphere, is laid back, but quite loud. The AC was OUT and it was hotter inside than it was outside - in August IN SE La. STIFLING hot! As we were walking out, I remarked to 3 young ladies standing at the hostess station, that I liked the floor.. the "owner" as she pointed out 4 times in the conversation, took praise for picking out the floor.. onto the conversation about the AC.. We remarked that it was horribly hot and that the servers and employees deserved a day off because of the heat.. she merely sort of rolled her eyes.... NOT 1 time during the evening did she visit our table, not 1 time did she remotely even apologize for the discomfort.. She acted as though we should have been honored to be in her presence, as "the owner", as if we were wasting her time. I hope for the food's sake, she reflects on her attitude and changes it a bit. read more

Had lunch here yesterday. The decor and natural light are beautiful. Service was very attentive. We each had a pizza - mushroom, cheese with white sauce, and the meat pizza. All were great. Will definitely be back! Also good beer selections on tap. read more

First of all it is aesthetically beautiful when you walk in. While the pizzas are amazing and authentic meribo is so much more than pizza. I especially loved the arancini ball appetizer. The roasted chicken with olives was so full of flavor! The prices are reasonable for the quality and attention to detail. Will be back soon! read more

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. Starting with the service... there was a gap between getting our drinks and ordering our food where we didn't see our server for literally 20 minutes. And the food was just ok. Ate there with party of 8 last night. Service was horrible! Didn't even get past the drink order, out of olives, out of cranberry, out of proscecco. Waitress got all drink orders wrong. Wine that was recommended was not good and when we declined it, it was decanted and left on table. We paid for it of course. Pizza was good, not great. Restaurant was not well air conditioned. Fun atmosphere but owners. Red to step it up or it will be another closure in this location. read more

Beautiful restaurant and very cool menu at good prices. I definitely wish we would have waited a little longer to go since it is brand new. I'm sure they are still working out the kinks. Service was kind of lacking, but it was a very busy Saturday night. My main issue is how extremely loud it was, it seemed like everyone was screaming in the restaurant. Perfect for a family dinner, a romantic date night, or dinner and drinks with friends. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The menu is always insanely good. Im usually meeting up with my friends for a drink and some appetizers or a pizza (just tried the sopressata pizza, do yourself a favor...also the Brussels sprouts and the meatballs are currently my two fave apps). The new 3 course special they have is such an awesome deal and if you're there for lunch I 100% recommend their cheeseburger. Melty, cheesy caramelized onion goodness with 2 Wagyu beef patties, honestly may be the best burger I've had...ever. Wood fired pizzas that never disappoint, super friendly and attentive staff, and keep your eye out for fun collaborations! Yoga in the courtyard is sooo much fun and is a great way to rationalize a beer and pizza afterwards (because balance). read more

Food is delicious and the space is beautiful. I recommend coming for lunch they have really great sandwiches and salads as well besides the pizza. I do however suggest this place put some plants inside to absorb the sound because it can easily get very very loud in there. read more

I was there Friday night with Dudley, everything that we ordered was GREAT!! We had, Brussels sprouts, corn bread, bbq shrimp pasta, smoked meat board, and the baked cheese!!! Ok so here is the deal... It was cold and snowing, my wife and I both got home in time for a happy hour which NEVER happens. In turn I searched for good happy hours that were close and meribo came up. We decided to go for it and are glad we did. Half price pizza and $5 dollar wine. Game ON! The pizza we ordered was the All Meats pizza. Very flavorful, the red pepper was a nice touch and with s fried egg on top added a dimension neither of us have experienced. It made the pizza rich and unique. For dessert we got the peanut butter pie which was made with crunchy peanut butter, oreo cust, and a toasted marshmallow topping that stole the show. With dessert I had a very well made sazerac which finished off a spectacular, spontaneous and fun outing with my love. The environment is nice and is very clean. The ingredients for the food sound amazing on the menu but are lacking once the dish is in front of you. I haven't had the pizza so I cannot comment on that. The soups are good but taste very chain food like and out of the freezer. The basic salad is good but not worth 10 dollars. The side linguini pasta is not good. It's really over priced for the food. read more

A great date night restaurant where the service and food never disappoints. The pizzas are delicious and the appetizers are always good. The linguine is spicy but a nice addition to your meal. Meribo can be crowded if you're visiting on the weekend so I would recommend making reservations. read more

We ordered Meribo tonight through a food delivery service. It was nowhere near worth the price. The pizza was literally dripping grease and the meatballs and rigatoni were mediocre. I held out hope for the tiramisu, but the cake was so over soaked that it was complete mush. Won't be trying it again. read more

So pleased with the new occupants of this restaurant! We came for lunch on Wednesday, happy to discover happy hour lasts all day. Got a 1/2 salad, 1/2 pork sandwich, which was delicious. The pork was delicate, and not smothered in BBQ sauce. We also had a pasta dish that had black eyed peas, turkey neck meat, sweet potato pasta, wonderful and too much to eat at one seating. Bill for 4 glasses of wine and 2 lunches was less than 50. We will be back! read more

Food was actually pretty good. Not the best, but for the price it is a place I would most likely return. I won't be back however, for 2 reasons. I've been twice now, and both times service has severely lacked. Being a bartender myself, I am pretty forgiving, but honestly it was just poor service and there's no way around it. The first time, I went on a Sunday for brunch with my girlfriend and a couple friends of ours. The ladies of our group enjoyed the bottomless mimosas but we ended up leaving before they could actually get the value from it as it was ridiculous how long it would take for refills. Not just on the mimosas but the water I was drinking as well. And I would have had several more cocktails myself if it didn't take so long to be taken care of. For the record, we were one of two tables in the restaurant, so occupancy wasn't the problem. The second reason I won't be back is that while there for a party the other night, I bought a round of drinks and asked the bartender to close me out right away instead of keeping the tab open. She came back and informed me that somehow she had lost my card (didn't seem to sorry about it) and that I could leave my name and number for them to call me back on after they located it. I went back after a week today to ask what had happened as I received no call, and was informed that the card was found and they just hadn't called and had "probably lost the name and number." After getting my card back, the bartender started to, unprovoked btw, tell me how it wasn't really the bartenders fault for losing my card and some other nonsense. I won't be back. I've never lost a card in my years bartending and I've been incredibly busy. However if I had, I can't explain how apologetic I'd be. The situation was handled horribly, end of story. read more

Not impressed. My wife and I ate at Meribo for the first time on a Friday night during a Covington block party. We should've known it would be disappointing since there were several open tables. The menu has very little "standard fare," but that's OK, I guess - as long as the food is good. Not much appealed to us, so we went with the fish of the day and meat of the day, both priced Mkt. The fish was supposed to be Red Snapper, but it was more like Cod, as it reminded us of a McDonald's Filet O Fish. The meat was a filet of beef, but that turned out to be a tenderloin tip that came pre-sliced. Neither was terrible, but just not delicious. The biggest disappointment for this marginal food was the bill - $28 for the fish and $28 for the tips! The atmosphere was cold and boring, and there was a manager/owner type wandering around, clueless to the goings-on. He actually served my wife's fish a full 3 minutes before my "steak" arrived. Our server was decent, if inexperienced, and the hostess, who couldn't have been more than 18, was bubbly, but exposing way too much cleavage for a food establishment. And no Patron! We won't return and cannot recommend this restaurant. read more
