July 6, 2022 update and typo correction to original review. Merced Collision and Repair replied to my review linked to an accident dating back to June 2021 asking for a reason. First I need to correct the phrase Comfortable to uncomfortable doing business with shop. Secondly the reason for this is because I found out after the fact some bad reviews confirming my bad feeling after talking with shop employee who later called if he got the job to repair my car. Typically no body shop calls after an estimate since customer will call if shop gets the business. Regrettably this June 2022 a deer jumped in front of our new Lexus destroying entire driver front and door entailing $8k to $12k in damages. Obviously taking this vehicle directly to my San Francisco body shop of choice dating back to 1995. Waiting on parts and rental week of July 11, 2022. read more

Sooo,I've never written a review before.But felt this warrants one.I want to say the owner is a nice guy, nothing against them personally this strictly about the work.I drop off my rims an was told it would cost 250 for them to be machine in the middle, mounted, balanced.Two weeks later I was called to have them put on.The tire expert put the back wide tires on the front,an the front tires on back,never bothering to look at the size,I came back ,it was fixed,ileave an see that he now put the tires right but the back rims in the front of my car which are obviously for the front?then my tires were never balanced either?I had to tell them I knew the work had never been done,they fixed it,I took it to another shop the same day,there were metal shavings in the inside the rim they didn't take the time to wipe or air blow the inside of the rims,making my car shake at 65,I was lucky to have it fixed somewhere eles,realised the tire guy worked for Nachos tire who stole all 4 center caps off my 22inch rims,scrached all four cuz the tire rack was old with no padding,so my rims were distroyed,the owner an tire man laughed,turns out they are related,,stay away away away read more

I don't know what Katies review was about, I have a 2006 ford GT Mustang and I've had lots of work done at this shop, from repainting areas and full headers and Flowmaster exhaust system put in. They are very honest don't beat around the bush with anything and always do an excellent job . I won't go anywere else in town to work on my car. Hands down a gentleman's repair shop. guaranteed that they would do a great job...trusted them and ended up getting a crap job of a repair...left drips didnt even use the same paint you can tell where they just sprayed over the damage manager never there...person at the front gone too and was looking for front bumpers on ebay!!! place was a joke to me i feel like i was taken advantage of because i know that my insurance did not pay for a $500 shi** job overall...dont go here they dont deliver what they promise and when you tell them they lie about it thats why this place is not a guarantee for insurance compaines dont take your car here save yourself the hassel and waste of time p.s. there paint jobs are full of orange peel.....and no gloss sad but true read more

I would give this business no stars for the type of customer service I've gotten here. The owner is hardly ever available and seems to be the only one that knows where any of the paperwork or records are. If you ever need a question answered you have to wait for him to call you back and who knows how long that could take. I've had nothing but trouble with them since the first time I had them do work on my truck back in 2006. The paint job chipped, they've had to repaint it more than one time and even painted it the incorrect shade of yellow. The reassembly was poorly done. Pieces of the body have been mounted on crooked, or incorrectly or have fallen off. Once I was driving and someone shouted to me that my front wheel was shaking, little did I know that it had been improperly mounted when they put on my rims, and was about to fall off! The only reason that I keep going back is because nobody else knows what they've done to my truck to begin with! Recently, I had to have one of my rims replaced and it took me almost 2 weeks to even find out what type of rim it was because I couldn't get an answer, and then by the time they finally did reorder one for me and get it to me here in Santa Cruz, it was the wrong size, and had to be sent back to be cut down. They didn't even offer to get me the RIGHTrim. Don't go here. They suck. read more
