Tourists beware! It'd be better to cross the street and grab KFC - seriously!
The menu is very picturesque, though it is not available in English and waiting staff does not speak English very well. The first night, we ordered cheeseburgers which gave us stomachaches, the "burger" came out gray and sausage-like, definitely not beef! The fries were okay, but rather dry. I ordered a dessert which I thought was 3-4 euro, but they charged me 8 euro. They also charged us more for the burgers than what was written on the menu, a little sketch.
We ended up coming back the second night since it was one of the only open places on a Sunday nearby our hotel, and thought we'd give them a second chance on their other food. Bad idea! We asked for the interpretation on a 4,20 euro salad, they said it was a chicken salad so we ordered it. Also tried the turkey soup (which came out pale, sickly yellow instead of the rich dark red in the picture). Didn't eat more than a sip of the soup! The crepe came with defrosted strawberries and the dough was very bland - beautiful pic, not so beautiful taste!
When it came time to pay, they insisted we ordered the Caesar salad and charged me 15 euro (instead of the 4,20 I picked out)! I explained that we did not order that, the waitress who served us even agreed that it was a miscommunication, but the manager lady was adamant that we needed to pay the full price despite the miscommunication on the part of her staff. She said we should have sent the food back when we realized it wasn't what we ordered. We reminded her we couldn't read the menu and therefore didn't realize we got the wrong food. We ended up paying after a long discussion with a surprising amount of confrontation. You can bet we won't be back! read more
