Our waiter, Didier, and the sommelier, were so knowledgeable on all of the cuts of meat and wine and were so kind. They joked with us, and were so attentive. Tiffany, the hostess, was able to fit us in the same day, and was so nice as well. Finally, the food was divine. Excellent steak house, and overall 5 star experience. 10/10 recommend to anyone!!

The restaurant was located in our hotel and after traveling it was the easiest place to get something from. The food was okay. It was five of us and most of our food came out warm. Not hot at all. The creamy spinach was too creamy.

Amazing service and dinner was first class. Went with my daughter and interacted with the exec. Chef and his team. Amazing place would highly recommend.

This is a very nice restaurant in the Marriott Hotel in Amsterdam. Certainly things are not the same right now, so the Midtown Grill has stepped it up with outdoor dining, reservations and some of the top-team members are now working here. The hotel capacity is down dramatically so this is a great place to go to support your favorite hotel. I had breakfast here and it was included in my "staycation" night. Amazing. Staff is amazing and so friend, safe and 100% social distancing and all government mandates are implored. A good place to go and have dinner, lunch and breakfast.

You made our day special Through a series of misadventures, we ended up in central Amsterdam with Covid. After guaranteeing and testing negative we were ready for a good meal. We wandered into your hotel/restaurant at 5 PM. The maître dee asked if we had reservations and we said no. He let us in (we felt underdressed) We proceeded to our table where our superstar waiter Claudia took care of us hand and foot. She explained all the cuts of meat in the fabulous tray of meat and took our order. The shell steak was tender and delicious as were the sides wonderful. Claudia ascertained I had a birthday the next day and she surprised us with a beautiful piece of cheesecake with a huge sparkler in it. My wife and I who had gone through a very stressful week are still appreciative of how we were treated. I thought the cost of the food was very good concerning its quality and the ambiance of the restaurant.

We had our first meal in Amsterdam in our hotel at the Midtown Grill! I had a delicious glass of Heineken and it was very refreshing! I ordered a filet mignon and it was good. It had a thick cut and so I didn't get a fell medium rare, more of a medium cook. The atmosphere was warm and it was raining quite hard outside. There was a good view from our table. Staff were knowledgeable and knew the various cuts of steaks and the menu. English was spoken which was a plus! We were given marshmallows at the end of dinner and we had roasted marshmallows! Nice ending.

Ambience is a little snobby and the wait staff is pretentious. This is the only downfall of the place. The steaks were VERY good. Filet cooked medium well and with the heat plate brought out to keep it warm. The French fries truffled and nice and crispy. The mashed potatoes very good. The Mac and Cheese was very poor and over cheesy, Id stay away. Risotto was good, but somewhat plain.

We dined here every morning while staying at the Marriott on a recent visit to Amsterdam. It is a nicely setup restaurant with plenty of choices for their morning breakfast buffet. The bread and cheese selections were great and really enjoyed the fresh bread loaves. Wish they had more selection of the cheeses after all you are in Amsterdam and there is definitely more than 4 types of cheeses that they serve. The cooking staff was very helpful and would serve my morning poached eggs as ordered. The eggs were heavenly with the nice orange yolks. Really enjoyed the way they served their raw honey in the trays of beeswax that you needed to scoop out. Never had honey that fresh and it was great tasting. They served the morning drinks as you would order them, coffee, any types of tea, espresso drinks,... The staff was very efficient and right at 10:45AM, they would ask you to make your last round at the breakfast bar before cleaning up and closing and believe me all that food was gone in matter of 10-15 minutes and cleaned up!!!

Very good quality of food, however, service was deficient in so many ways. Slow to serve, slow to follow-up on next plate, no service at the end.

It's a nice place to get great steak. They do have quite a few selection of cuts from both Europe and US. The staff was excellent. We got a few choices between the seven of us that went. My issue was that their steak is unevenly cooked for 2/7 steaks. It was rare in one half and well on the other half. Such discrepancies should not be occurring unless the chef was not paying attention and/or they have never heard of a sous vide.

Great ambiance, incredible views, and a solid overall experience. Service in Europe is . . . different. Not bad, just not what I'm used to, so I try not to let that impact things too much. One thing I do want to call out: my daughter's friend has a severe allergy to seafood, nuts, and kiwi, and the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. That wasn't our experience everywhere in Europe, so it definitely stood out and was appreciated. We went simple with two steaks: the "Mrs. Porter" and a bone-in ribeye. Mrs. Porter needed a little more seasoning, but the ribeye was . Sides? Honestly don't even remember them . . . which probably says enough. The highlight might've been the "Mr. Fox" dessert. They bring out this chocolate fox head, pour liquid nitrogen into it, and crack it open tableside. Super cool presentation. Dessert itself was good, not amazing . . . but I'd order it again just for the show. End of the day: great ambiance, great views, good food, and a fun experience. I'll definitely be back.

The drink prices on the other hand are outrageous. 36 euro for the smallest martini I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, it tasted great, but still. Paid about 82 euro for two martinis and a non alcoholic drink. Probably gonna steer clear for the rest of our trip. There are much better and more affordable options outside the hotel.

It's a nice little place, you can sit in the front of the restaurant where the chefs are cooking or the back dining room, away from the outer doors. We opted for the front, it was neat to watch them cut and cook our meat. We went with the Wagyu carpaccio, scallops, and tuna tartare as the appetizers. These were all absolutely incredible. So fresh tasting, made to perfection. The right amount of flavor. Next we ordered the tomahawk. We didn't realize until after we were eating that it was bison. It was so fantastic, I'm actually glad we didn't know because neither myself or husband had ever tried it before so it gave us the chance to try something new that we may not have ordered. It was cooked perfectly for us. The right amount of pink. It was so tender to chew and in my opinion the right about of fat on the cut. The lobster was great, it had the right amount of butter than a slight hint of lemon, not overpowering. The breads were good but the butters stood out, absolutely heavenly. So creamy and flavorful. I am going to dream about this when we leave. The broccoli/cauliflower and mushrooms were just ok to us, nothing gave us a wow on them. Overall the meal was fantastic. My husband said it was the best meal in his life. Our server was very kind and attentive. The chef and owner were also exceptional. Everyone made us feel very welcomed and taken care of. We never felt like we were being overlooked or ignored. We would recommend this place if you're looking for a great meal and service and not a bad price tag. For the quality of food, the price is on par with that and worth it all.
