I opted to have the 5 course Bridges lunch menu during my visit at this prestigious restaurant... And despite it's already AMAZING reputation - I would say that it still does not give the menu and talent enough justice!! Each of the courses was absolutely fantastic, bursting with flavour and presented beautifully!! Their sommelier has put together an impeccable wine menu, and I would encourage you to explore the selection during your future visit.

Beyond belief! This is a fantastic experience that must be experienced by lovers of fine dining. From the amuse bouche to the dessert and coffee, every bite was delectable. You'll feel the service from the time you start at the bar all the way through the detailed explanations of each dish and the helpful wine pairings. The location is quiet and great for conversation, plus centrally located in Amsterdam.

We opted for the 7 course meal and it definitely did not disappoint! Everything was packed with flavors! Every bite was exquisite! The staff were knowledgeable and efficient! They were all every friendly as well! The ambiance was quiet and romantic! Perfect for a date night! Highly recommend!

Taking ordinary ingredients and delivering extraordinary experiences. What I found remarkable is the idea of unusual combination and fusing them to make it part of the dish....fennel in my dessert, pea foam with the sea bass... puff and crunchy rice to the langoustine to name a few. Every dish was a sensation! The photos will speak for itself... btw if you have an opportunity to do the chefs table, go do it! You'll be pleasantly surprise!

Fin and Vin. If you don't like fish or wine, this is not for you. I was here on business, so I didn't get to see the tab, but I am guessing it was pricey.... Food was very good, and served in interesting different ways. Ordering in English not a problem here.

I had dinner in at the Chefs table which was a special treat to watch. I loved everything that was served to me. The flavors and spices was an explosion of tastes I never experienced before. This is by far one of the best restaurants I have experienced. I travel a lot and like to experience the Michelin and worlds top 50 restaurant. Each plating was a work of art and delicious.

We came here during restaurant week, and they were only accepting reservations for lunch. I have heard that the quality of food during restaurant week tends to be significantly lower, but this was not true for Bridges! The food and presentation was absolutely incredible!!! Food: 5/5 This was a 3 course menu with options to add a 4th or 5th course. Prior to the starter, they also served 2 amuses. One which was a pretzel covered in lobster powder, and an assortment of roasted beans, radish and beet/artichoke chips served with a mayo/kropsla and tomato chutney. Starter: salmon tartaar served in an avocado over an poached egg. The presentation of this dish was stunning. There was a tomato powder dusted on top and this contrasted against the dark blue of the plate. The textures of the egg, salmon and avocado were absolutely divine. It was perfectly seasoned and I have never tasted a tartaar like it. Main: fish with broccoli and mashed potatoes served on endive. Also perfectly seasoned, delicious and beautifully plated. Dessert: passionfruit cake with coconut/basil ice cream. The cake was a bit on the sweet side but the ice cream served to balance that out. The basil in the ice cream was very different and worked well. Overall, the food is amazing, fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated. Nothing was too salty for me and the textures and flavors were innovative and delicious. Despite the fact it was restaurant week, the quality was not any less. Highly recommended! Service: 5/5 Since this is a classy restaurant (located next to an expensive hotel), the service is impeccable. The waiters were friendly and informative. I have a shrimp allergy and they made sure to take that into account for the dishes; they modified a few dishes just for me. Atmosphere: 5/5 As said before, this is a classy place and I believe it has 1 Michelin *. Perfect place to impress someone (a lovely date, or her parents). Value: 5/5 For a restaurant week price of 35 euros/person, I think it is a bargain. However, it might be a bit more expensive normally. The food quality is super high and you are definitely getting what you pay for. Well worth the cost for a special occasion. They also included snacks when we ordered coffee, so even though my cappuccino cost 6 euros, I got 2 extra desserts which is a pretty good bargain for the price.

When you walk in, you're greeted by their in-house fish market, where everything is visibly fresh and beautifully displayed. You simply choose the fish or shellfish you want, they assemble your order, print a ticket, and you continue on to the wine shop. Before going any further, I want to highlight how impressive the fish market is. It feels almost like stepping into a wholesale seafood market, complete with checker-tape pricing. The staff will tell you exactly how each item can be prepared. For example, when we ordered a dozen mussels, they explained all the options and recommended a coconut curry preparation--an excellent choice and absolutely delicious. Once you have your ticket, you head into the wine bar. The team already knows how your meal will be prepared and offers thoughtful wine-pairing suggestions based on your selections. From there, you're taken to your table, where the outstanding service continues. We were served a beautiful basket of fresh bread almost immediately, along with our chosen wine. By the way, did I mention how beautiful the place is! For starters, I ordered a dozen oysters, and each pair was prepared in a different style. Every single one was outstanding. The mussels in curry sauce were so good that I needed extra bread just to savor every drop. Finally, we had monkfish--an impressively large piece, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely incredible. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The team at Pesca, and truly the people of the Netherlands, know how to do it right. Hats off to this outstanding restaurant. I only wish we had one where I live--I'd be there every day. Actually, it would be dangerous to have Pesca too close...I'd go bankrupt:)

We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

Not only that, he said it was the time of year for fresh, great tasting herring. So after building up an appetite during our tour, we walked straight to Rob Wigboldus Vishandel. At the counter, I asked for a menu but the friendly older gentleman (possibly the owner) replied saying we probably wanted the herring sandwich, so we went with his suggestion. It's a very small place - we were lucky to grab a table while we waited. It didn't take long though, the sandwiches are very simply made: fresh herring, chopped onions, and pickles. That's it. I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting to really like this fishy sandwich, but when in Rome ... And guess what? It was delicious! Herring is naturally oily and mild-tasting! But we knew we had to try it, and life is short. It is a tiny stand located along a central canal in the heart of the city. Business is hopping here. It has somewhat of a gelatinous texture that can be off-putting, but when you take a bite with the sides of sweet pickles and onions, it shines. The Kibbeling was out of this world. Perfectly fried with a crunchy batter that had a hint of, hmmm, curry, maybe. It was amazing. Although the batter was thick and tasty, it didn't outdo the delicious cod. The line on the two days we were there wasn't long and waited less than 5 minutes both times to place our order. The first stop I bought one order of herring with pickles, onion and the "Nederlandse vlag." We returned two days later and purchased another order of the herring and a herring sandwich with the herring served on a simple white roll with onion and pickles. Both were excellent.
