I would like to say that the service here was absolutely amazing! I came in looking/scrambling for a wedding suit/EVERYTHING that comes included with that. (Shoes, Pants, Bowtie, Socks, etc etc.) I immediately get helped and measured quickly, and I get recommended some different styles to try on. During the entire process, the store was clean, it was nice and quiet, and nothing was disorganized or messy of any sort. When I was checking out, I had the pleasure of being rung up by Melanie, who asked if I would like some plastic cellophane wrap for my tops, and some proper bags for other items. She was very kind, cordial, and to the point. She was also able to assist with my purchase, as well as help with another customer simultaneously until another cashier was able to help her. "Custom" suit experience was dreadful. Do yourself a favor and don't take the gamble because it was a huge pain in the ass to return. When the suit came in I had to get it altered so drastically that it just ended up looking all bunched up in the back and the sleeves were right up against the functional buttons with no space looking ridiculous. The slacks fit just ok enough to be passable. I was under the impression I was working with a professional so during the sloppy measurements and quick handling of things I just thought she must be good and knows what she's doing. I thought wrong, and honestly, I should know better by now so that's shame on me. Still very disappointing. Then, When I wanted to return it I got a lot an attitude from the manager like she personally sewed it herself. They don't care how it fits or if you're happy with it, they care about their pride and fragile ego. 2/10 suit, 3/10 customer service. Recipe for disaster and it shows in your business. I was way too nice. Don't make my mistake. Unfortunately you have to walk people through their own jobs to make sure you get service that's acceptable. Do not recommend and won't be back as I have been made to feel unwelcome anyways for wanting a $1400 "custom" suit to at least fit and drape on my body correctly. read more

I was invisible the entire time I was in the store. No one asked if I needed help and two employees were doing absolutely nothing but pretending to straighten stacks of shirts. The only assistance I received was when I pulled out my wallet and paid. Then, everyone was very eager to take my money. Pretty typical ageism. I was the oldest person in the store by a good 30 years and was treated like i had the plague. I used to go to Men's Wearhouse and knowingly spent more than going to the mall. It was the customer service that used to bring me back. Whatever happened, you need to clean house and start with a slate of employees that are there to do more than breathe air and take your money. read more

Avoid like the plague. Under qualified staff. Manager has 2 months exp in mens fashion. Worked for lazy boy lol. Doesn't know how to tie a tie!. These people are far from even knowledgeable. The company discriminated against men and the lgbtqia. Offer women training and opportunities not afforded to men or lgbtqia. Reason why the regional manager prefers women because they are "easier to control" direct quote. He also says the his lgbtqia community is his problem child. this community get the least pay and hrs. Company let fhe regional manager discriminate against his male and lgbtqia staff. All they say is hes the regional. Plus clothes are woth pennies on the dollar. Advice get you sizes from a seamstress and order everything offline save money. These people are far from knowledgeable or professional. Staff os nice. read more

I came in for my scheduled appointment and the employee working there told me as I went to check in was that my appointment didn't matter. Usually, we have Josh and it's a great experience. However, today we went in to pick up a new shirt for my husband. My husband told the sales woman he wanted a different size shirt and she just made rude comments repeatedly about his weight and how the shirt would fit better if he weighed less. She also was annoyed that he wanted to try on more than one shirt. He stated he wanted to make sure everything fit correctly and she seemed very inconvenienced. When we were leaving we wanted to try on a pair of shoes, but she made comments indicating that they were too expensive. Was in here few months ago spent over $400 on suit for high school dance. Thought ok go back for prom suit, and BIG MISTAKE! Walk in sign on door asking for mercy due to short staff. Ok however it's not busy soooo... 3 people tending to clothes on rack not customers. Finally after one employee tells us they are out of black shirts, another employee walks up and tells us ok so what school? I let him know if we can just rent a suit? Then proceeds to tell us can't you choose another color? Ummm seriously? The colors are chosen! The correct answer should be .... YES LET ME SEE IF WE CAN RENT YOU A SUIT! If I could give zero stars I would. The manager guy josh, has helped us a couple times. And he has been beyond rude and shown the WORST customer service. We went in a few weeks ago for my fiancé and two groomsmen to get their pants for the wedding. He ignored us after we told him what we were there for, and continued to help every person who came in after us. Checked on us again and then continued to ignore us and help other people. After about 45 minutes he finally brought out the pants that needed to be tried on. He measured and pinned them perfectly. The pants were supposedly ready yesterday and when they got picked up, josh brought the pants to the door. Didn't let them try them on, and sent them on their way. The guys called me freaking out because the pants are too short. One of them is about 3 inches above their ankle and the other is literally half way up their shin. I watched them get measured and there is no way it was accidental. Unless whoever did it is blind I called and told them the situation. My wedding is in a week. And they told me they could be fixed the same day and to bring them in. Well they brought the pants in and now are telling us they won't be ready until Tuesday next week. Which is 3 days before my wedding and my fiancé still hasn't gotten his. I'm furious that they all paid over $100 for just their pants and we are being treated like this and for them to screw them up so bad and make us keep waiting to get them done. Never again. Not sure where to start. I bought 2 suits on black friday. Received an email 2 days later that they were ready. They weren't. I was never contacted when they WERE ready. Finally stopped by today to pick them up. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The workers are good people and were great help but the last time I rented a suit was from tuxedo den and upon paying the rental fee I was informed that I had a week to return it before late fees. This time I had a wedding that I had to rent a suit for that was over 200 dollars and upon paying the rental fee I was not informed when it had to be returned!!!! So apparently rented suits have to be returned the day after the event and the workers don't tell you!! Not even sure where to begin ... They had a large selection of suits to purchase that's a positive. Andy one of the young men working there was trying to be helpful and he was doing his best . We were renting for a wedding When we arrived they were closed from 4:30 to 5:10 pm .When they opened back up it was us and one other customer who needed assistance. The friendly young man dressed in western style clothes helped the other person. We got who seemed to be the manager early 40's very bossy to other staff and unable to listen. He asked the same questions over and over ...We repeated things to him three or four times as did other people who entered after us to rent for proms. This individual was very unkept his behavior was not professional he seemed to be altered talking at a fast rate- sweaty and we smelled alcohol on his breath. He did not measure anything - he kept bringing things out that were not what we requested. Plus he kept trying to give us a tuxedo jacket when we clearly stated we needed a Navy Blue suit not a Tuxedo. We tried to be patient but it was difficult. We are going to try another place in Chico because unfortunately there aren't many choices in town to rent a suit. It was such bad service that it almost seemed like a skit on SNL or something! read more

I have rented three suits from this location each time is worse and worse! I went in to pick up my suit and the dress shirt was the wrong size so they found a wrinkled up "try on shirt" and said that I could use this one. It literally says "try on" on the back I pointed that out and he said well tuck it in. Never going back and the thought that I have to pay 240 dollars for this suit is horrible. read more

We had an awful experience here shopping for my fiancee's suit for our upcoming wedding. We even made an appointment in hopes of getting some good, personal service--instead we were stuck with a young man who treated us terribly! I'm not sure if it was just his customer service or the policies of Men's Wearhouse as a whole. The store for one is so crowded and makes you feel claustrophobic. The lighting is awful and makes everything look yellow. We asked to see blue suits and he laid out two blue jackets and quickly shuffled us through the vest & tie. I kept asking if we could see the jackets on my fiancee and he kept rudely telling us no. I was so surprised and kept repeating that we were going to rent a suit for over $200 and not even be able to see the color on my fiancee? He was very rude and kept giving us a monologue (pretty rehearsed because the other customer service person was giving his customer the same speech) about not having the correct sizes for each individual in their store and that they had to order them in. Finally, with enough fighting, we were able to put a completely different jacket on him (why couldn't we just see the original?). We didn't care about the exact fit, just the style/color. I felt like the whole experience was horrible, my fiancee felt embarrassed and didn't even want to ask any questions. We ended up ordering with them but are definitely canceling our order. Went to another shop (Tuxedo Den! Look for my review for them!) and had a completely different experience, like the one we were hoping for. If you are looking to rent for a special occasion I would NOT go here. Horrible service and prices. read more

I am used to shopping at the store in Chico CA and Redding CA is the worst experience I have had in 20 years of shopping at Men's Warehouse. I am used to being waited on hand and foot in a large luxurious sized store in Chico. Redding is small, too small to keep a lot of stock, totally disorganized with people working on computers at their desk in the middle of the showroom and cluttered. I kept tripping on things on floor! The salesman I worked with was wonderful, though hindered by trying to find what few measuring tools or tablet to enter measurements into for my order. When I came to pick up my suit, they had misplaced and indeed mislabeled my jacket. When the suit was found, I expected to be helped to color coordinate shirts and ties but again they only had 2 shirts that fit tightly. So that leaves me to find suitable shirts elsewhere. Next time I need a suit, I will drive to Chico where I know that I will be taken well care of. read more

Just had a bummer of an experience at this Men's Wearhouse. I live out of town but I have quite a bit of business in Redding. I am in town today for a funeral and my suit pants could use a press. I have shopped here before and there was a young man who was among the best sales/customer service people I've encountered. His name escapes me but ordered me things that weren't in stock helped me save some money by adding to my order and called to remind me that my next loyalty reward was about to expire last week. Sadly today I dealt with a different sales person. Didn't get his name - taller, big guy, salt and pepper hair. I explained my situation and asked if he would press my suit pants and reinstate my last award certificate. He said that it should be no problem to reinstate my certificate which by the way you receive after each $500 you spend at the store. He then asked if my suit pants were from Men's Wearhouse. I was wearing one of the few suits that is not from Men's Wearhouse and so I told him no. At this point he informed me then that he would need to charge me $10 for the pressing. I'm in the service business. If someone is spending thousands of dollars at my store and asks for a favor like pressing one pair of suit pants... The last thing I'm thinking about is how to get 10 bucks out of him. It takes two minutes and I know I've earned the courtesy. Sadly, he didn't seem to think so. Oh well - I will explore other options as it was the client friendly service that always had me coming back... Hopefully your experience will be better read more

So I basically ruined my favorite suit. Tore a hole just below the knee, and it was noticeable. On a whim a few weeks later, decided to pop into this location and ask how much it'd set me back. The gentleman who assisted me, Josh, was BEYOND accommodating. I explained my circumstances, how I couldn't afford a new tailored pair to match, and how I needed them repaired as quickly as humanly possible. Josh went out of his way to help me in every way he possibly could. Not only did Josh get my pants taken care of faster than you can imagine, but also helped me for about a half hour to find the perfect black jacket that was within my price range. He knew my circumstances and didn't push me at all--I loved one style, so he'd find something similar for less. Now that is customer service. He didn't try to upsell me, but I believe he knew that by being an all around professional, that I will be back here to purchase all my work clothes. His kindness ensured my business for many years to come, of that I can assure you. Josh and the Store Manager, Dylan, weren't only professional and attentive, but also empathetic. I had a bit of a sob story and they absolutely went out of their way to help me. They didn't have to, but they did. I am so grateful and fortunate that these guys work there. Two other guys who's names I didn't get were also great--the training at this location must be top notch. Josh, Dylan, and team--thank you guys. 5 star customer service and all around demeanor. I needed a quote for a tuxedo for my son's prom, sounds, easy enough. 7- s e v e n! phone calls later (hung up on 4 times, put on hold three times for so long I could have baked a cake) I was finally able to speak with someone. Their prices were not at all impressive. Basically I got the impression they have very unprofessional, immature and flaky staffing for which they expect to paid premium price. We ended up going to Tuxedo Den, very happy, prices were fair and transparent, with extremely top notch personal service. If the staff at Men's Warehouse has such unprofessional service and manners over the phone, it would seem unwise to continue any business with them. read more

I don't know what kind of experience I was expecting, but it wasn't that. My mind is blown that Men's Warehouse is really as great as the commercials make them seem to be. I needed a suite for my buddies wedding, well if we're going to be honest wedding season hit hard so I needed it for a few occasions. As a real member of society I figured it's probably time to become a grown up and invest in a new suite anyway. Dress for success right? Right. I was immediately welcomed the second I walked in the door. I was surprised by how attentive the guy helping me was. Not only did he pull out exactly the type of suites I was wanting, he also picked out his personal favorite (which I ended up going with). I was so surprised by how helpful everyone there was. The great deals on suites and alterations made me really happy - the customer service was icing on the cake. i was beyond pleased. If I need another suite, I'll know where to come back to. read more

I was recently just married and I absolutely loved this store helping throughout the process. They were extremely kind and very prepared. Emails, an app, phone calls, and excellent customer service got me to be on top of things with so many busy things happening. They even found discounts for me instead of charging me extra even when they could have. I ended up having about 11 people get suits so I got the 600 bucks towards a new suit. I definitely would recommend that option since there are definitely great suits in that price range. After a horrific experience while attempting to order a suit for Prom (for my son), I called the national customer service line and filed a formal complaint. I will NEVER again buy/rent from the Redding store until they hire new staff. With the many one star reviews I've read, I hope Men's Wearhouse corporate office realizes how poorly their store is being represented. Will never shop here again. I refuse to shop where the management is completely rude to their employees. There's a fine line between criticism and just being a complete jerk and tearing down your employees confidence. I personally loved the service and care that, I believe his name was Blake(I can't remember), gave me the entire time I was there. He seems like an incredibly hard worker and I will be upset if he ends up leaving because of his coworkers. Pay better attention to the level of patience and understanding your workers have. The manager was in a complete rude mood the entire time I was in the store. It made me not want to buy anything and my daughter and her husband will no longer be shopping with you. read more

I felt they tried to oversell me on all the other accessories though. I was disappointed that they charged me extra for pressing the suit and shirt after spending almost $500.
