We invested in a LifeSource water system expecting cleaner, softer water -- and honestly, it's been a total disappointment. On Sunday, October 26, we noticed thick white calcification building up on our glass vases and fixtures. It looked like we never had a filtration system at all. So we ran a water test comparing regular tap water with the LifeSource "filtered" water... and guess what? No difference whatsoever. Both samples showed the same level of contamination. It's like the system does absolutely nothing. We called customer service right away, stressing that this was urgent. They promised a call back Monday -- no one called. We followed up Tuesday, got the same promise -- again, nothing. Later that day, they finally told us that no technician could come out until November 5. Over a week later! For something that could impact our health, that's just unacceptable. Between the useless filtration and the nonexistent customer service, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. For the price they charge, you'd expect quality and accountability -- but instead, we're stuck with hard, unfiltered water and zero support.

He mentioned that chloramine is the corrosive chemical in municipal water that eats through thin copper pipes (type-M) & that a catalytic carbon filter system would remove all chloramines. He set me up with a great dual catalytic carbon filter (to completely remove chloramines) & a soft water filter ( to treat hard water & remove calcium & magnesium). The communication was very clear. I received text updates regarding time of arrival. Tony text me prior to coming and I sent him a picture of the system. I'm assuming he brought parts along based on this because he was able to replace a big part on the spot. Tony was very knowledgeable. He could tell what was potentially wrong in my house just by looking at the system. He even fixed my sink upstairs that no longer had water flow. All in all, the whole service took about 2 hours. He was able to reset my water softener, replace a part, and fix my sink. He even gave me some water test strips. Spending $200 for a 5-year maintenance is completely worth it.
