Made my own sort of dirt cake froyo creation with a happy lil' gummy frog just chillin' !
    Veronica C.

You know what they say "I scream, you scream, and we scream, and scream and scream"...the screaming just never ends for ice cream! I love ice cream and froyo which is essentially ice cream made with yogurt much as the words "frozen yogurt" suggests. It's really nice to get a creamy cold treat that has some health benefits to it. I don't stop in quite as often as I used to but I still enjoy coming here. They have some great flavors .. I'm a chocolate lover so I tend to go towards rich chocolatey flavors like the mudslide pie and Nutella but I also swirl in another flavor with them like the banana pudding or cake batter- they're pretty great combined. The toppings are plentiful.. they have gummies, nuts, sprinkles and chocolate candies, fruit, boba and brownie bites among others as well as cool whip, chocolate and caramel syrup and marshmallow fluff ! I kind of wish they'd update their flavors a little more often as most times I come here I see a lot of the same stuff over and over again even though they're flavors are on rotation. When I first came here years ago I really enjoyed a toasted marshmallow flavor they had and I haven't seen that as in option here in maybe five or six years now. I didn't give 5 stars because a cup of yogurt here can get pretty damn expensive... I didn't even fill up my cup all the way and I still paid $8 for my froyo so that's something to take into consideration if you're trying to treat the kiddos to froyo but you're on a bit of a tight budget. Price isn't bad if it's just a treat you get once in a while but I don't know many people who could visit regularly when it's much more cost efficient to go to your local grocery store and get a big tub of ice cream or froyo there for a bit less or the same cost of a cup here and have enough to either feed your entire family dessert at home or enough for you yourself to eat out of for a few days. Staff here are friendly and keep the place looking clean. If you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat I would still recommend them.

I love Menchie's and I have been to this particular location a few times already. My latest visit was during their $6 fill it up Friday where you can fill an entire 16 oz cup (must fit under a lid) for $6 after 8pm. This is the only Menchie's location I have been to that offers this which is pretty awesome. I always have a great experience at this location and it's always neat/tidy with stocked toppings. There's inside and outside seating available. Customer service has always been great as well. I will keep returning here because I am never let down!

Waffle bowls available but thick like a dried chewy pancake Also some of the flavors weren't working, So, 2 strips of Cake-batter vanilla, 1 strip of caramel and one strip of Chocolate cake batter, one scoop of boba, 10.50 is a rip off.

Menchie's climbed to the top of my tasty treat list after this awesome visit. They are handling social distancing like champions! The young ladies working today were disinfecting and cleaning regularly between customers, it was the absolute best! All of the toppings are pre measures and put into individual serving cups. I do not believe they are allowing samples at this time which is great in my eyes; People don't know how to get samples without making a mess and cross contaminating everything. Personally I love the "get in and get out" style they are currently running to accommodate the pandemic. I wish it would stay this way forever. Just sayin. Customer service was spot on as well :)

This place is very clean and organized. The staff is generally young, but friendly and helpful. I do not think the prices are great, but the yogurt and toppings are top tier. They have a crazy amount of toppings to include gummies, chocolates, fresh fruit, bobas, etc. There are at least eight flavors of yogurt on rotation too. Menchie's is an awesome dessert spot after dinner but you can expect to spend like $10 a cup for a decent amount of yogurt and toppings.

This place is my sons favorite place. Even though we can't partake inside, outside is available if you decided to stay. I like that they're topping are in small containers. And very convenient and close to where I live.

I tried them in the past apparently because I have photos associated to that visit (even bought a dozen). I obviously didn't remember until I started writing this review. First the location is pretty easy to reach. Small strip mall store front off Portland Ave. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me but no seating and hardly room to view the selection. There is a plastic COVID screen still up and pictures of people who have stolen from them. The selection of donuts is decent and apparently on the weekends there are speciality fritters. The owner operators are kind and so helpful (high praises!). I ordered one blueberry donut and one banana fritter. Both appeared to be well cooked and scrumptious. However, each of the donuts were over fried and tasted like old grease. The blueberry cake was full of blueberries but no real blueberry taste. The fritter was soaked in grease and no banana flavor. Sadly this is not on my list to try again.

It's like they looked at all the successful ice cream shops with the ice cream on display up front and said, let's do the exact opposite. Eye catching visuals don't matter On top of that, they have customers come in through one door on the side and then exit through a sliding glass door which has people standing in front of it because there is no where else to wait. Truly a bizarre and awkward execution all around which seems to make their poor employees easily flustered when things get busy. Their ice cream isn't worth mentioning really. It's close to public parking that can get busy but we didn't have much trouble finding a place to park. I loved the ice cream flavor options available and of course, the premise of house-made ice cream. We each tried our own individual flavors and cones and we did enjoy most of them. Flavor wise this ice cream is there and is what most would seek out. It's there, it's bold and it's good. Where their ice cream missed for me was in the actual texture and creaminess. I found ice chunks in my mocha ice cream and that was a big disappointment to me. I want my ice cream to be ultra creamy and smooth not chunky and hard. It was a bit of a disappointment especially given the high price point.

So five stars and a review based on my observations as the spouse of a Dairy Bar ice cream loving man! Ha! We all have our Fair favorites. I need a scone and he needs an ice cream cone every time we go. And the Dairy Bar does not disappoint. Go early if you can- after dinner time the line is often about 20 minutes long. For the Spring Fair just the outside walk-up window is open. But for the fall Puyallup Fair the larger restaurant space is open. No tables and chairs but they usually have benches and definitely more service windows open inside. The line moves relatively quickly considering how many people are here. We always have great service and the counter staff is so friendly! Really - this type of customer service is so admirable considering they serve thousands of ice cream treats a day! The menu is nice and simple: Ice cream. Vanilla, chocolate or Strawberry. They can do swirls of two flavors too. My husband loves the vanilla and chocolate swirl cones. I swear as soon as they hand it to him he's immediately transported back to childhood. It's really sweet to see that gleeful sparkle in his eye when they hand over the giant swirl cone. I think this is a common occurrence here- lots and lots of families lined up always for that taste of sweet ice cream from the Dairy Farmers of Washington!
