Never had before and there was just 1 couple there so was able to order quickly and received many good recommendations from both of the two staff people. I ended up getting the ube fresh milk with taro balls. Omggggggg it was the BEST I've ever had and I have had my fair share of ube drinks because I am Filipina! The cream was so fresh and so yummy! Had me craving to get it again and saw that they have a Tacoma location which is closer to where I live. My best friend and her son love this place too and they were traveling from France but are Cham so have had tons of different types of boba. They drank all their drinks!!! Highly recommend!!!!

This was my first time ever stepping foot and eating in Black Bear Frozen Yogurt. This is quite shocking as from what I know, Black Bear Frozen Yogurt has been around for a long time. There were 12 flavors to choose from, as well as sample! We decided to swirl the Ube/Taro Coconut with one other flavor that I can't recall right now. We added a couple of animal crackers and strawberry popping boba. It's about 70¢ per ounce per cup of frozen yogurt. The total was around $14. It seems quite cozy and welcoming inside. There are board games inside for customers to play with their friends and family.

As someone who has had boba across several states, Tacoma generally doesn't really have the best…read moreboba options, so Bobalust is definitely an anomaly. I'd even go as far to say that it's the best boba spot in the Tacoma area. They have smoothie, slushies, tea, milk tea, and etc. The drinks are quite filling, so I usually have no room for food! (Cost): $8.27 + tip (Location): The shop itself is on the smaller end, with a few tables inside for seating. It's located in a very busy shopping area-- a little bit down the street from Tacoma Mall. It gets insanely busy during the weekend, so plan your trip accordingly. The good thing is that there is a lot of parking. (Service): I have been here quite a bit and the employees have always been pleasant to interact with. I literally cannot recall a time where I had a bad experience, and the drink was made in less than 5 minutes. I don't know if it's ran by the same people, but I went to a Bobalust near Tukwila that also had excellent service. (Food): Summer Saas (5/5)-- a fruit tea drink with peach pieces in it. I also added in some black boba. I usually stick to the Orange Dreamsicle, but I decided to try something new and I am so glad that I did. This drink was amazing-- not too sweet but also not too tart. I will definitely order it again. Orange Dreamsicle (5/5)-- a smoothie type drink made with vanilla and orange. Also has fruity jelly pieces at the bottom. An excellent drink that reminds me of those old school orange cream soda floats made with ice cream.

While I have cafes I prefer in Lakewood, I wanted to try something new, so I found EM Boba & Coffee after looking up places online I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with the egg cream topping. I go to quite a few Vietnamese cafes in Seattle, so I have my standards. Unfortunately, their coffee did not meet my standards at all. The coffee tasted like it was made straight from one of those Vietnamese instant coffee packets. I do drink that here and there at home, but it's not the kind of taste I want from a cafe. The egg cream was pleasant though and helped make it taste better. I probably wouldn't come back for the coffee, but I'm still interested to see what the other drinks were like.
