Had planned on going to the Rainier Avenue one but ended up in South Lake Union. What a pleasant surprise! Never had before and there was just 1 couple there so was able to order quickly and received many good recommendations from both of the two staff people. I ended up getting the ube fresh milk with taro balls. Omggggggg it was the BEST I've ever had and I have had my fair share of ube drinks because I am Filipina! The cream was so fresh and so yummy! Had me craving to get it again and saw that they have a Tacoma location which is closer to where I live. My best friend and her son love this place too and they were traveling from France but are Cham so have had tons of different types of boba. They drank all their drinks!!! Highly recommend!!!! read more

This location is inside the same complex as Big 5 off 38th, right next to Sketchers. Parking here is alright considering the location. So happy that I don't have to drive to Federal Way anymore for a bubble waffle! Before they only had one flavor, but now they added chocolate and oreo.. Sometimes I do half original and half chocolate and get a side of the oreo puff cream. The location has a few tables inside and even have games you can play which are near the spot you place your order. I like that they give you a sturdy bad for you togo drinks and not the flimsy cardboard. Tbh, service was nothing out of the ordinary. read more

Stopped by Happy Lemon in Tacoma to try out their drinks. Upon looking at their menu, their isn't a lot of options for non caffeinated drinks. So I went with the mango lemonade with lychee jelly. I also went here with my sister and she ordered the jasmine green tea with salted cheese foam. Overall the drinks were good. The service was nice and friendly. The overall ambiance of the store is really nice. Like the designs and art on the walls. My only complaint is if they offer more non caffeinated drink options or non caffeinated teas. read more

I love this consistency with this Happy Lemon. I typically order online and within ten minutes my order is ready. The waffles are tasty and never burned and there's a lot of different dips. I've tried the sea salt cheese and I think while I love it on my drinks, I don't like it as a dip. The cookies n cream dip is better. Overall, I like the variety of teas, and will be back! read more

This is by far the best happy lemon I've been to! I've been to the other happy lemons in Washington and one in San Diego. None of them have the powdered match on top of my milk tea with salted cheese and egg pudding, but here! They also make the egg pudding perfectly each time. They are very consistent each and every single time I order. I always drive just a little further out of the way for this spot! I really like that they have mobile stamp cards because I'm always losing them! I've gotten a few free drinks already (10 stamps for 1 free drink!) The owner and employees are always super friendly and helpful at answering any question. They make their drinks with love!! read more

Half chocolate/half Oreo bubble waffle with a strawberry shortcake smoothie. - Biting into a waffle cone. That's how I felt eating this thing. I felt the Oreo/chocolate throughout every bite. And the smoothie was to die for. Seriously, I can't recommend giving this I try enough. 8:10. Friendly staff. Good service. Good ambience. Good stuff. read more

service was great, but the brown sugar milk tea was actually depressing I'd rather step on legos than go again.

I came in with my group at 9:35, 25 minutes before they closed. They said they couldn't serve us because they were getting ready to close. Which didn't make sense because of how much time was left before closing, however we accepted it and walked out. Not even 30 seconds later another party came in and they were served simply because their group was a little smaller. Absolutely unacceptable and will never be coming here again. read more

The drink was great!! The boba balls were very hard.. so nope not again! The customer service. Wow. There was a girl who came to pick up her order as I received mine. And I realized there was no boba in my original drink. So i left the lady know it's missing. So she handed me a sealed cup of just boba. So then i'm making a mess pouring my drink into the cup that had boba. It was a mess so I was like this is not a do it yourself service or I would have made my drink. That's why tripping options should be available for after the drinks or anything is received read more

The location is a hole in the wall strip mall, but honestly I think that's usually the case back home as well. That said, it's very nice inside. The service was quick, they got the order right, and they get it out to you quickly. As a coastal Southern Californian, 40°F in the rain was cold for me, so hot boba tea it was. It was great, as was the waffle I got to try part of. If you're staying in Tacoma, fire up Waze and drive over. It's worth the drive. read more

I got the A4. I was pretty indecisive walking in because I wasn't sure what I truly wanted. I told the guy who helped me I wanted milk tea and he did provide a good recommendation, but truthfully I'm not a fan of the taro ball; it's the texture for me. It's a super cute lil shop, can only use restroom after purchase. I'm definitely glad I got half the sweetness because it still was a little sweet with the Oreo but just enough! read more

I spent about $50 a month here. I have fallen in love with a strawberry green tea with lychee, the Oreo waffle and puff cream. The green tea is not very sweet. You cannot choose your ice or sugar level like you can at most boba places, but that's okay. Also even though this is a franchise, not all locations have the same flavors for bubble tea or waffles read more

I wanted to like this place. Went in on a nice day and was hoping for a slushy but they don't have that "line" of products like other Happy Lemon locations. I ended up getting a regular lemon black iced tea. It rang up to $7.17. I paid with a 20 and was handed back 12 dollars and told they don't have change and pointed to a tiny sign on the register. So it ended up being a $8 dollar ice tea before tip. It was also very bitter and super sweet. read more

Honestly, the kids that work here are rude, you can't adjust the menu at all (no customizations other than less or more ice and less or more sugar), and the place feels dirty. The drinks are just ok. And the only thing that was wow (and we came back for) was the bubble waffle. Bobalust across the street has much better service and drinks. We get a bubble waffle from happy lemon then go to bobalust for our drinks and happy service. I asked if we could order anything or just what was on the menu and the employee said "I can make anything for myself, but you can't." Which felt rude. Why not just say no? Haha I asked if I could get the strawberry shortcake with less shortcake in it and the guy was obviously annoyed and pointed out that he just told me that there were no customizations. This is one of the cleanest Happy Lemons I go to and their customer service is great. Very sweet and someone is always being productive to ensure your experience is great. I will have to try the boba before giving them a full 5 star review. read more

The bubble waffles are nice and fresh and eggy. I prefer the chocolate or oreo to the plain. Learned that the hard way (gotta try them all right?). The puff cream ends up tasing like slightly sweet butter, I would pass on this in the future. The tea is fresh and there's a great variety of flavors. Overall, solid place I'll be back to but not my go to in the area for boba. I haven't had much in the way of bubble waffles to compare to but it is fun being able to watch these being made. Staff is sweet and the store is always clean which is great. read more

The shop is small yet cute and peaceful ambiance. There is a good variety of the milk tea boba drink but thats the main drink choice. Very delicious though. The waffles are fun and delicious, not overly sweet and chewy. Staff could be a little more kind and inviting but I get it with the industry of dealing with customers n substitutions ,etc. Overall, would recommend! read more

When I heard this place was opening down the street from us I knew we were in trouble. Ouch my wallet lol we come here once if not twice a week. My go-to is C2 with Crystal boba and a bubble waffle with salted cream cheese. Mango lemonade is also a solid choice as well. Had a great experience at the Bellevue location, so I was excited to come here. The experience wasn't as stellar. I had delivery from happy lemon and This is the second bubble tea place I've tried and it is terrible. Even the Oreo drinks don't taste like Oreos. My roommate says it tastes like how you think cardboard tastes. I'm disappointed as I bought 5 drinks wasted my money! Bought three different kinds and liked only the brown sugar bubble tea. Update: I have been looking everywhere for these supposed sugar free Oreos you cannot get them except from china. Imported from china. So is this paste smeared on my cup truly sugar free Oreos because I dont think they would import ingredients from china for one drink! The only sugar free cookie that resembles a Oreo is sugar free gluten free cookies(not Oreos) read more

We've been here three times. Once for the grand opening and two times after to give it another chance. The drinks here are average in taste, interior looks great, but the service and wait times are insane. Grand opening day we watched drinks being made for friends/family of the owners (they went behind counters, hugged, talked) while we waited with others for over an hour. (I wish I was lying) Drinks were made unorganized and out of order, and then we didn't even get toppings we paid for. We decided to try again months later but the same issues occurred. There is always just one employee working in the front handling everything while at least one if not multiple people are in the back area. Door dash orders are prioritized and in store orders will literally get pushed aside for those to be made instead. Second time we waited 25 minutes with 1 order in front of us. Third time we waited 20 minutes with only one order in front of us again. This is nothing against the bobaristas, but management really needs to organize themselves better. Don't come here unless you have at least 30 free minutes. read more

I enjoy coming here. Drinks are good and the waffles are great. Today I was craving them waffles but was told they aren't making waffles bc they have to get ready to close and the workers don't get paid extra to stay and fulfill customer orders. I came in 845pm on a Friday. So word of advice: don't come 15 min before closing expecting to get a nice fresh waffle CAUSE YOU AINT GETTING ONE. Updated my review from 2-3 stars. After the dust settled from my disappointing experience, at the end of the day I'll be back. Just not 15 min before closing. read more
