Jodo Tea had their one year anniversary back in April. To celebrate their anniversary, they had a buy one, get one free deal! I don't come here often, but the times I have, it's always a friendly and positive interaction with the employees. Since the last time I visited, they have a few mini claw machines inside. Still keeping up with their simple and clean interior! After finishing a workout at LA Fitness, my sister and I walked over to order a Strawberry Matcha and Hokkaido Dream with boba. The Strawberry Matcha is made with 2% milk, but can be substituted with oat milk for an extra 50¢. The Hokkaido Dream is a creamy black milk tea with caramel and vanilla. These two drinks are in their signature tea portion of the menu, minus the boba. My sister added the topping to her drink. Both drinks were delicious in their own way. read more

I saw a TikTok a month or so ago posted by the owners of Jodo Tea saying they recently opened but haven't had much customers. So I commented, asking if they had Thai tea (blended) and they replied they did... So finally being in the area, stopped by today and glad I did! When we walked in, I was glad to see that there were customers and am hopeful service has picked up for them because based on service and product - this is a much needed addition to the area! I, of course, ordered a Thai tea blended drink with brown sugar boba. It was flavorful and blended perfectly - no chunks of ice or undistributed flavor (where all the flavor sinks to the bottom and there's none left once you get towards the end of the drink). The flavor was uniform throughout. My only issue was the drink was overly sweet but being my first time trying, I didn't think to ask for it less sweet but next time I definitely would order at 50% less sweetness. The brown sugar boba were fresh and chewy. Overall, glad Jodo is a little closer to me and in the Tacoma area as my original go to was in Puyallup and that's a far drive just for boba. Definitely recommend and would be back to try other drinks! read more

First time here today, as this was on my list of places to check out! The store is in an unassuming strip mall right by Starbucks on 72nd and where Hosmer ends. But more accurately in between Angle nails and Edible Arrangements. Parking can get a little difficult since it can be a high traffic area, but there are a few dedicated spots for 15 min parking so you can grab and go. The drinks were pretty good! LOVE LOVE LOVE! All I can say is the vibe is there and the drinks are good. It's small and quant but it's fairly new so it will take some time to get there. I have never really stayed in store too long and usually take my drinks to go so I'm not really a good judge for that. They also have a new system that allows you to order without talking to anyone, if you're introverted. Nicely decorated with minimalistic design. The cashier that took my order, Anna, was very friendly and helpful. Customer service is nothing short of amazing here. I wanted some bubble tea, and my cousin brought me here since it was on our way home, and I haven't tried it yet. I got the Lychee Blossom and the Ruby, and my cousin also got the Lychee Blossom. We both got the crystal boba in our Lychee Blossom, and for some reason, it had a weird aftertaste. And the texture of the tapioca was okay. The flavors of the drinks were good. Wanted to check out a new bubble tea spot and saw this near by. Turned out to be a really good spot. Great service and pricing. Nice place to come chill and grab a drink. JODO TEA is a cute boba shop. They have a very aesthetic sign for your IG pics too. Drinks are tasty and they even have oat milk for the lactose intolerant and/or vegan community. They also said their milk teas are a non-dairy base. Staff seem friendly. I can see myself going here whenever I'm craving for matcha boba or after/before I visit Wapato Park.
