First off I'd like to say the server was very nice. But the amount of time that you have to wait to get your food was ridiculous. We got there at 6 o'clock. Didn't get our food until almost 7 o'clock.. We didn't order anything crazy just a quesadilla and chicken tenders. Neither one of them had were very good. Also, the quesadilla was served in a plate where the quesadilla was just sitting in a pile of its own grease. It was pretty gross. And for some reason, I don't understand instead of seating us and everyone else on the side where the sun isn't glaring through their giant bay windows, they had everybody lined up in the window so they had to sit there and bake in the sun and be blinded the entire time they waited for their food. Well, I might give it another go, but everything was just fairly average. Not bad, nor fantastic either. I had grilled cheese and chili. I waited 25 minutes for my order. They were so slow there when I went in- almost no one in the dining room at all. I think they just weren't paying attention to the to-go orders coming through. Someone did come out and apologize for the wait, so I did appreciate that. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or maybe it's better for breakfast. Or maybe I should get one of their burgers. So we got wind of this place that they were the original makers of the hamburger. So being on a family trip I felt this was a fitting place to try. We stopped by there and I kid you not they have 50 different hamburger options so brace yourself! On top of all that they have a menu that is about four other pages, long with all kinds of other food, which we obviously didn't get the sample we just came specifically for the hamburgers and milkshake. Went to this restaurant today, and the service was the worst ever. The food was sub-par. We have been going there for many years, and it continues to get worse. There is side salad consisted of a pile of lettuce and one cherry tomato . Never once were we offered a refill on the coffee or iced tea. We made a quick change in eating arrangements since a couple did not care for the one we had all had agreed to for eating. Well, things happened. We were not hurt time wise as we did not have a cast in stone of each stop point of the three stop day! The restaurant was moderately busy. We have eaten here before so I preferred the original restaurant we had never tried. Best laid plans can change! We we given a table for seven which is what we needed. When the waitress starting taking our drink orders, I noted she was a bit nervous. A more experience waitress was backing her up. When she took our food orders she kept checking on her backup! Well and good! The meal was delicious, I comment we had to wait an usually long time causing all of us to be even hungrier. Because everyone was remarking how good the food. We just walked on a hot floor for over two hours we had worked up an appetite! Some had plate meals and some sandwiches and sides. I had a burger with jalapeno peppers and it was great. Remember we were all hungry and bellies singing by the time the food came! Busy cook likely. Well, the problem of new waitress finally showed up when the bills came. First, she likely, had made the assumption that each person was paying for themselves. We had two couples and each did not want two bill only one. That poor gal, I was amazed she held her cool and took a few at a time and finally got done with the cash and charge and the right number of bills! Her back-up may have missed a confusing situation that might have been provided. I tipped better just because I knew she was trying very hard, On the job training can be a bear sometimes! All in all a better time that when my wife and I had on a prior visit. One problem they still have is the confusion of people trying to find the restroom. You have to go out the back door into the hallway between the different business and follow the hall to the strip mall. A one-restroom for all the businesses in that joined strip mall! I know I was confused on the first visit too. . Personally with at least two restaurant and several business the building designer should have given each restaurant their own restrooms. The roast and mashed is always great. The salad bar is minimal but fresh. Every time we ordered a burger it was overcooked and dry. Each and every time. My advice is this,try it out. Menches Bros of Perry Don't know what to say. Came in for breakfast today. Sat at the booth for 5 minutes no coffee; 10 no coffee; 15 no coffee, 2 servers walked by apparently not their station. Saw 2 couples walk in after us...get beverages. STILL nothing..tick tock...3rd couple walks in after the waitress in that area looks at us & takes their beverage order...OUT WE GO. Doesn't the waitress they hired not know her station? Either way I will never go back again & I will DEFINITELY never recommend this trash "restaurant" to anyone. Avoid the Perry location and just go down to Massillon. This review is based on the last three trips to have dinner. The food is always great and the prices are extremely competitive. However the service is worse than you would expect from even McDonalds. Whether the rude hostess who can't smile or say hello to the waitress who complaints to you that she is overworked, never gives you a refill and doesn't explain the 45 minute wait for food in a half empty restaurant. It's just terrible. Again I stress, this wasn't a one time experience but rather the same and normal experience the last three times entire been here ... never again. read more

Been there several times. The food is good and our servers are always nice. The issue I've had and it's been every single time my husband and I have gone is the hostess. She is always crabby and no matter what makes you wait even if tables are available because she is always in the middle of something else. Customers coming in shouldn't have to wait 5 or more minutes for her to figure out whatever she is doing. The hostess should take care of the customer first and then go back to the other work. Also she shouldn't act like she is doing you a favor to seat you. read more

the 2 stars are for the only 3 good servers to ever touch this place Nicole the small one, Jordan, and Arianna they gave excellent service. The kitchen is terrible and the food is awful, greesy, unseasoned, and just doesn't make sense... Some servers don't brush there teeth and their breath smells like "The Cheese Touch" and the owner isn't much of a owner just much much more of a toddler that throws their occasional fit. If you plan on going here it's should only be for the service and maybe just maybe the ice cream. Oh how the Menches brothers have fallen so far, they go from inventing the Burger to a straight up terrible restaurant that not even Gordan Ramsey could fix. Food is good but service is abysmal. We waited 20 minutes after being seated before a waitress even approached our table to ask about beverages. Another 10 minutes after that before we received coffee and water and the waitress took our food order. She acted like any small request (such as butter) was the greatest imposition. I was at the Perry Heights restaurant, The hostess was rude to two of my classmates, because they were early, and just wanted to sit on the front bench and wait! I took my class their two months in a row. First time we had to wait 1/2 hr to be seated because a group before us was there for 2 1/2hrs and wouldn't leave. Class didn't want to go back. I said that was not Menches fault, and give them another chance. BIG mistake. We had the rudest, nastiest and crudest waitress ever. They lost all 25 of us. We will never go back!!! read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. After waiting almost a half hour for our order and being jammed in a booth with 5 of us because they were waiting for a large party to arrive whom finally showed up an hour later, my 86 year old father ordered the swiss steak which he has ordered there on at least 3 occasions in the past. He has dentures and he has always ordered it here when he has come in the past. The meat was really red (not even pink) and the exterior was hard. The order was returned and we were informed all the swiss steak was that way. They got my dad a cheese omelette which came out when most of the table was almost finished eating. I had an all meat omelette with no cheese inside. I asked the server where the cheese in the omelette was and she said they had to ask me if I wanted cheese...for an omelette. I was not asked. The omelette just fell apart on the plate. The food quality was less than I have experienced at the restaurant. When the check came, there was no exemptions for the meals nor any discounts. Being the customer, I decided I would speak to the manager. I was informed he was in the kitchen and that they would get him. I was informed that he had something else to do before he could come out. I waited almost 5 minutes when a male exited the kitchen and came and stood by the front podium. I had come to the front of the restaurant to the hostess stand because I did not want to say something at the table and the front of the restaurant was empty. I finally asked if he was the manager. He said he was the owner as chewing tobacco spilled from his lower lip area (remember he came out of the kitchen!). I started to talk about the swiss steak when he interrupted me and started to get confrontational. He went on in a rude manner about it. After he finished, I just said that he did not need to be confrontational and never mind that I would just pay my bill. He went back to the kitchen. I paid and waited for my receipt. As I was getting my receipt, he exited the kitchen again, still chewing tobacco and started again about the swiss steak. I told him it was over. I paid the full bill, tipped the server nicely and left with my father, sister and two sons. I told my dad that we would never eat there again. I am suggesting to anyone else to avoid this place.
