They have such incredibly cute ornaments and great gift ideas. Once a year, I raid the Christmas decoration aisles in search of thoughtful gifts for family back in Canada and California. They have DIY ornaments that you can make for family members you don't get to see all the time. Some specialized ornaments allow you to add photos and even record your voice to make your ornament truly one of a kind. we purchased a $500 LARSON storm door in April 2025. It is 5 months old and the door dead bold system broke. Menards won't take it back and we had to contact Larson Customer Service for warranty repair. They are sending a replacement mechanism. Who is going to install it?? A FIVE month old $500 door should be replaced! Couldn't be more unhappy. Do NOT buy a LARSON door or go to Menards for that matter. read more

We bought a charbroil gas grill and we got it home realized several parts had dents and broken pieces. We called them right away and they said they do not take returns on gas grills. Someone should've told us there's no returns or there should be a sign up saying there's no returns. All they told us that we had to contact charbroil. This isn't the first issue I've had with Menards but it is my last. I will never go there again. read more

Nice new Menards with a lot more than the old one on the east side of Madison. The selection of everything is a great more than most Menards with a huge variety. The lighting section is massive taking up 2 levels. The place has been very busy the 2 times I've stopped by. The staff are still learning. With so many people I came across several rude ones who just ran into you while walking the isles or just expected you to move while looking at things. A few of these happened to be staff. Wasn't always a fan of Menards, but have changed my tune. They were early adapters, requiring all customers to wear a mask. The prices are better than most places, including online. There is no better place for selection -- sick of going to Fleet Farm or home depot to find they don't carry items. I'm going here exclusively because of the attention they pay to COVID regulations, and I can get in and out quickly. Spend thousands on contracting and tools, so this is a major switch for me. read more

Stopped here for the first time because I needed a soldering iron. Went to electrical and asked an employee stocking some shelves if they could tell me where the soldering irons were. The response was "I think that'd be in hardware" and that was it. Okay....so I walked over to hardware and still didn't find them right away so asked a lady if she could point me to the soldering irons. She looked at me with a somewhat annoyed expression, literally pointed down an isle without saying a word, and went back to what she was doing. While technically fulfilling my request it wasn't exactly what I'd call good service. Checkout was only marginally better. So yeah, two stars because they actually had the soldering iron and it was cheap I guess, but zero stars for customer service. I'll go to Home Depot next time, have had much better service there. read more

Eric the manager lied to us in the store and said that our money would be reimbursed. He took advantage of my wife and mother in law and would not speak to them at the end of the conversation. I was expecting to come here thinking it would be just like the East Side (old) location but man!!! It blew my mind!!! They had groceries in here! I mean... not a little section with a few things but they had actual AISLES of food and coolers with milk and frozen foods. What?!?! My mind was blown. I was not expecting to see all of that! I see what you're doing Menards. I see you! (Haha!) it's pretty cool though... it's not really common to come to a store to get some flooring, appliances, toiletries, and groceries! I mean... I don't think Walmart has any appliances on display at any of their locations! They probably have some online but I don't recall seeing any at Walmart and I go to Walmart quite a bit! Menards really takes the cake with what they did at this location. I think it's awesome! Everything is reasonably priced as well. Their groceries aren't overpriced and I believe a gallon of milk was even cheaper at Menards! I got a bathroom rug here for $2! AND body wash AND dog food AND dog treats AND was able to price out some appliances AND some home repair items AND cereal AND milk! So crazy! It cancelled out my need to stop at the grocery store, pet store, and Best Buy! Haha! That was pretty great. As far as pet food goes, we buy the Blue Buffalo brand. Grain free, small adult breed and we found it here and for a good price! Would I come here again... Heck yea I would! Bravo Menards!! Bravo! read more

My experience was great. All of the employees were cute and nice. The food section was quite grim. If you want groceries go to woodmans, not a wood store. My back was having a bad day so i used the motorized scoot-scoot. Unfortunately it died in the middle of the walk way so I screamed for help for 15 minutes. Finally a worker came and pushed me to the checkout. I went through 400 bucks faster than all of my pills. The parkin lot was also so dang big I had to call sun prairie taxi to haul me to my vehicle. Have you read the Service Mission for Menards? It says "Our Service to our Guests is number one. Menards does things right." That is a lie!! I ordered an upright freezer from them in January but they did not contact me until April 3 to tell me it was in. I asked them why it took so long to come in and they said it has been in. I asked them why are they just now contacting me and they said they sent an email that I never received. So I went into the store in Sun Prairie and told the manager that I no longer wanted the freezer and wanted the money put back on the Menards Credit Card that I had used. He said that he can only do a store credit for the $631.95. WHAT!!! I told him I don't think that is fair because it is not like I received the product or that I just did not pick it up. Now if you give me a store credit, I am paying interest on a product that I never received when you can put the money back on the card so I don't have to pay interest until the card is paid off. He told me to contact Guest Services. Now I realize that he said that just to get me to leave. I did that but they told me there is no corporate person to handle this, it has to be handled in the store. I have been going back and forth for months but have gotten no where with Menards. So now I am stuck with a 600.00 credit and paying interest for a product that I don't even have. Their Service Mission is a LIE, LIE. They would get zero stars if I could put it in but you have to put in at least one. DO NOT GO TO MENARDS FOR ANYTHING. Home Depot is much more Service Friendly, knowledgeable and very willing to help. read more
