I stopped in here to get a few items for a home improvement project . This is a good place with a huge variety of everything you will need. I recommend it and will be back.

Look, as a Wisconsinite, I get excited when there are products or stores from my old stomping ground. So, I was quite ecstatic when Menard's opened in Jeffersonville.  Oh, Menard's, I go in with a list of 2 things and come out with 20. A hardware store with food, everything you could possibly need to build a structure, house, a she-shed, remodel a room, etc. I think the paint they carry, Pittsburgh Paint, is one of the best paints I've used second to SW.  I'm not going to lie here - if the prices seem too good to be true, they might be. I've bought some weird stuff here and they didn't work in the slightest.....like a digital HDTV antenna for $5....just no. But I also have a unique sputnik light fixture in my dining room that was a decent price, different, and matched my décor perfect (around $130 I think), and that was a Menard's purchase and it's wonderful! Be smart. Be smart enough to wander into the food isle and treat yourself to some Milwaukee soda aka Sprecher - it's sold in 4 packs, and yes, its $4/pack but it's worth it for the little treat. There's multitudes of flavors and I highly recommend visiting Sprecher if you are ever in Milwaukee; but until then - just grab your soda/pop/fizzy drink with sugar at Menard's.   So today, I visited my grand old Menard's to return a garage light fixture that didn't work. (Spend the extra dough for a better-quality fixture at Menard's and it'll work.) Of course, I went with the cheapest light and I ended up returning it. Live and learn. The employees were helpful and accommodating with the return. Today, by my stroke of luck, I followed my list more or less, & walked to the check-out to pay.  So, their check out is cool because your items hit a conveyer belt after scanning, pay, bag your own stuff - Bing, bang, boom.  My cashier today, pulled one thing out of the cart (you're not really supposed to line up the items on the tiny counter top; but rather pull directly from the cart, scan, conveyer belt)...okay. She pulls another item out, looks at me sighs and rolls her eyes.  Confused and a little offended, I hurried up and lined my items on the counter which is not really Kosher.  I hand her an in-store credit check from my light return (even with receipt, it was past 90 days....c'est la vie).  She scans it and says, "you can't leave, you still owe $12." Right, I understand, I had already put my credit card in the machine.  Grabbed my bags and boogied.  I pulled over (my cart) near the service desk because I realized I had misplaced my Menard's Credit Card in all the commotion. Another customer says, "ma'am" in my direction, I thought maybe I left my card at the pay podium - no. It got weirder. The cashier was yelling "thank you" at me, over and over and over. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I waved and mentioned this strange ordeal to the customer service person and hurried the h*ll out of there. I like Menard's. Today was one of the stranger visits, but typically it's good. They have 11% off about once a month - they'll send you rebates in Menard's money that never expires, they have good deals, they sell lots of name brand items and lots of Made in the USA items.  Their pet supply selection is very extensive.  Go for a visit when you have some time to peruse.

On my travels to Ohio to visit family, I have spotted Menards and wondered, "what is that?" My uncle told me it was basically like a Lowes and said they had good deals. When we finally got one close to Louisville, I had to go check it out. My uncle was right it like Lowes, but not all at the same time. It has all the things you would expect at Lowes: Lighting options, plumbing equipment, carpet, windows, gardening center supplies, you get the idea. Then there's the other stuff: groceries, cleaning supplies, linens, organizing units, toys, office supplies. It's all well situated in the store, it's not overwhelming, and somehow it just works. Go through the main door and work your way around. You'll be surprised at what you find and how decent the prices are. When you go to check out, the cashier will take care of things in your cart/basket and ring them up for you.You end up at the other end of the lane bagging your items and then paying at the end of the lane as well. I'll have to go back sometime to see what other interesting things I can find. Definitely check it out.

THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!!! On October 31,…read more2024 my wife and I bought a Beauty Rest Black Series Mattress from here based on a friends recommendation. We were very excited to get a top of the line Mattress to replace our 20 year old current one. Sleep is top priority to us because we both have demanding careers. We splurged getting the 2nd best mattress they sold. We paid $3,399.00 plus tax just for the mattress alone. After about 6 weeks, we noticed the mattress started forming a hole about midway down on the left side. I reached out to the Sales Manager Chris Kelly and they said it would be replaced. I went ahead and upgraded to the BEST mattress they sold hoping we wouldn't have the same problem. Another $400! On March 27, 2025, I reached out to Chris again to let him know we had another failure. SAME EXACT SPOT!!! He was quick to apologize and offered another replacement. We discussed what would happen if the new mattress failed. We can't continue this process every few months. He said that if the 3rd mattress failed they would issue me a refund and we would part ways. Well, on July 1, 2025 I notified the Sales Manager Chris Kelly that we had another failure! I assumed per our previous conversation, they would come get the faulty mattress and issue a refund as we agreed upon. Instead, a shell game commenced. Charlie Wilsons passed the baton to the Simmons Rep Brookes Gardner who has been completely unresponsive to my communication. It's terrible to expect a customer to deal with your factory rep! I bought the mattress from you. You extended the 1 year warranty! Charlie Wilsons totally dropped the ball in standing behind their product. So much for supporting a Small Business! We are average size people. My guess is these mattresses are not meant for an adjustable frame (which they sold to us as well $899) Meanwhile we are sleeping on a slant. My back hurts when I wake up. Toss and turn all night and get stuck in the hole. Have to roll uphill to get out! I've given them more than enough time to make this right. Dozens of emails and phone calls. Filing a lawsuit in Small Claims Court today!

Was in need of a washer and dryer and I didn't want to put down the bucks for a new set…read more The building was a little difficult to find as it does not have a good sign out front (apparently a result of some sort of bureaucracy). If you are looking for it and GPS is failing you, it's at 2000 spring street. There are a bunch of cars/service vehicles parked out front and you can see some appliance hanging out near the back of the lot. The only formula sign you know you are there is because the mailbox has "2000" listed on it. Once you park up walk on back to the only door that makes sense. Again, there are no signs... It's a family business and the lady that showed me around was friendly and inviting. She gave me the run down of the inventory. Apparently the washer/dryers move fairly quickly. Most of the inventory were top loaders between 3-10 years old. Some scratches and minor dents, but all are tested and repaired by their mechanics before being put on the floor. So it's better than craigslist as you know they've been looked at. They also come with a 30 day warranty. I went Saturday morning and they delivered the same morning. Friendly delivery man. I had made the horrible (yet apparently not too uncommon) mistake of buying the electric dryer when in fact I didn't have the 220V hookup. I thought I was going to have to return the whole set. To my pleasant surprise the delivery man made some calls and the company was able to get me a matching gas dryer (new, minimally dinged up) for a discount and deliver it by lunch. Apparently they have another location with some more inventory. This was all pretty great service. Highly recommend if you are in the market for some fairly priced used appliances.

I was in need of a refrigerator repair and didn't know where I was going to get a repair man. So a friend recommended them to me. The technician was prompt, called ahead to say he was on his way, was very professional & friendly and did the job. For $130.00 total which included the needed part, I was very pleased with the experience. If you're ever in need of appliance repair, I highly recommend them.
