This is a great place to go if you really want to avoid Walmart. It is basically Home Depot, Lowe's and Walmart all wrapped up into one location. They have anything from lighting to cabinets to Holiday items to grocery items also. The staff is always friendly and they know exactly where an item is isle. I asked the lady where something was and she said "take a right at the end of this aisle, then make a left and go to Isle 36 halfway down top shelf." I mean really, wow, amazing. We just left Menards and I have to say the help/assistance at this location is just plain sad. One would almost think the employees at this location tried to avoid you rather than seek your need or inquiry. We seemingly received the constant reply: That's not my area. This can be understandable but it should probably be met with: Let me find out who works that area so they may assist you. We spend a lot of money at Menards and drive well over an hour to get to the store and we find it debilitating the lack of desire to just "help" somebody. However, the two gentleman in the yard ( an older gentleman and one I believe his name may be Freddy ) who helped us load our vehicle with merchandise almost impossible to fit, we commend you. We truly appreciate you going above and beyond to help us load our vehicle. It's pitiful we found the most helpful people at this location buried in the back and most likely the hardest working. It's easy to say this location's employees have ergophobia. (1 star for Menards and 5 stars for the the workers in the yard seeking to help customers in undesirable weather.) read more

What a great store sure beats my local HD in Louisville. Big, bright, clean and plenty of help if you need it. For such a large store I'm surprised that there isn't a moving sidewalk to the second floor. I wanted an umbrella that was on sale, but we couldn't find it. There were four folks searching for this particular half umbrella, they couldn't find it boxed so they actually brought over a ladder and went to the display on the second floor and took the display one down for me. I like the option of coming here instead of Lowe's or Home Depot but the customer service here is significantly worse. I've had to ask questions at the back where they handle building materials and they are usually too busy to help me or they just flat out ignore me when I'm standing right in front of them waiting for them to assist me. I've also had a dead battery in their parking lot and "Penny" who I guess was in charge at the moment did nothing to help. This was after purchasing something. I have shopped here many times and I am very disappointed in the service I have received every time that I have needed something loaded in the back I have had to load it by myself a week ago I had to load 30 cement blocks by myself and I am 61 year old woman this is piss poor service and this hasn't just happened once but several times that I have had to load something by myself. I will not recommend this store to friends or family. And if they don't have enough employees to help people then they need to hire more help. I am very dissatisfied with this store I drive an hour to shop here and I am now going to shop at Lowes that is 15 min from me.I hope someone reads this and does something about this problem. On Nov 16,2017 I ordered 5 Jeld Wen windows from Menards, 4 of the windows were special order. The windows were delivered in 3 weeks. I was very pleased with the windows and delivery except one window was delivered without screens. I called and spoke with a supervisor in the window order dept, he said he would order the screens and it will take about 4 weeks for delivery. I called back in 4 weeks and was told the manufacturer's rep has left the company and the screens would be ordered again, and another 4 weeks for delivery. I called back in 5 weeks, the supervisor was not in. I was told he would call me. I waited a week and did not receive a call. I called again and spoke to someone and was told the supervisor was not in but he would return my call. I waited another week, called and spoke to an assistant manager. The assistant manager offered no explanation on the 3 month delay, he suggested that I call the manufacturer myself. I do not have a problem with calling the manufacturer, but should have been told this 3 months ago. Customer service is terrible read more
