Been here a few times for different tool and home improvement needs for my cousin and family. I'm amazed how huge this store is compared to Home Depot and Lowe's. It's sort of a Disneyland for all home improvement and DYI stuff. Home improvement chain with assorted building materials, tools, gardening supplies & appliances. Strangely, they offer some grocery items to name a few: milk, eggs, butter, cereal, oatmeal, apples, sodas , miscellaneous snacks. Additionally offer some bathroom items: shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste to uncle eye contacts. Other items available, too many to list. During Christmas there's a beautiful display called The Enchanted Forest. A good amount of decorations and tree selection. Lumbar section is massive. Customer service is great. My cousin's step daughter works there and enjoys it very much. Wish they had Menard's store in the west coast where I currently reside.

SHAME! SHAME! SHAME---NO veterans discount's----SAD! You have that shady 11% discount that takes time to complete the rebate........which if your not a dog on a bone-----it may never come! And it appears you have many Veterans employed. Your employees are always very knowledgeable and helpful!!! They are the only reason we return!!

We had treated deck boards delivered last month and they were absolutely terrible quality. We weren't allowed to pick out our boards at the Kokomo, IN Menards store because the order was being delivered. The delivery charge was highway robbery also I might add. Out of 30 boards, only 4 or 5 were what would be called good quality, even though we were assured all would be good quality. We have had to pick and pick thru the boards because there are tons of large splits, holes all the way thru, and huge knots. I've never been so thoroughly disgusted. We took our business to them, which the Kokomo Menards is about 25 miles from us instead of going with our local Lowe's. For what we received, we should have just went to Lowe's! Here's an example of what we received.

I usually don't come to Menard' s to get hardware supplies, but it was just down the street from me and I was getting ready to move, so I stopped in to get some light bulbs and other items. Menard's is quite a hardware store that has a little bit of everything. However, I found the layout of the store to be confusing and eventhough the aisles are labeled, I still have to walk around the entire store to find what I wanted. Plus, there is no staff that is attentive and able to help you if you need it, because they are busy working on other things, and you have to flag them down and get their attention in order to have them help you with something. That is a pet peeve of mine when I go shopping. Other than that, Menard's is a good hardware store that has what you want, and the prices do appear to be reasonable. The staff just needs to be more attentive to customers if they need assistance.

Staff definitely needs training in customer service attention. My husband loves it, me not so much-I prefer Lowes!

I like Menards because they seem to have a whole different selection than the big box improvement stores.

I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.

The vibe here? This Lowe's strikes me as ideal for grandmas needing to take care of their flower beds (No, I'm not hating on grandmas) and the yuppie DIY'er whose needs are basic. It's amazing how different places have different vibes. Home Depot is for the true hardcore DIYer who may even want to rent tools. Menard's is a little more family friendly - sort of an urban Rural King. Lowe's? You can get most of the basics here, however, the lack of knowledgeable staff in-store would almost always keep me from hiring anyone to actually install anything. Tonight, my needs were basic. I did ask about steam cleaners - at first, they didn't know. However, a nice gentleman looked it up and took me to the right place. They didn't really have what I wanted, however, he was helpful and even handled my cart (which was awful, you would think in a hardware store they could actually fix their carts). I did get some cleaning supplies. I'm not big on self check-out, however, the employee who'd assisted me handled the check-out - theoretically great, however, when I got to the car I realized the bill was a bit high. He'd charged me twice for the expensive item and hadn't charged me for another item. So, I trudged back in to get that straightened out (it was handled fine). Accessibility here is good. Lots of accessible spots. The doors are automatic. That's always a plus. The aisles are wide and I generally could get where I wanted to go (well, except for that awful cart). My favorite sections here? Appliances, kitchen/bath, and carpet/flooring. I find the cleaning section a little lacking and I find the customer service hit-and-miss (though, to be fair, almost always good in terms of willingness to help). This is a solid 3-star for me. I'd probably have forked over the fourth star if not for the checkout mishap. I appreciated the help - I just wish it had been more accurate. I typically go to the Glendale spot as it's closer to my home, however, I was in this area and there's honestly not a huge difference between locations. I give the slight nod to Glendale, though.

But really, how could you not? The name of this place is Menards! Anyway, I visited this Menards, thinking, "Me nards! Me nards!" over and over in my head as I went in search of some indoor plants. But what do you know: They must not have indoor plants in late fall, because I could find nary a one. They didn't even have any outdoor plants. Apparently, Menards is not the place to find plants of any kind when the weather turns cold. So I walked around to see if maybe they were hiding the plants somewhere else, and I came across aisles of pet products, Christmas trees, patio furniture, paint, and lots of other things. Menards seems to be a one-stop-shop for home improvement. Parking is plentiful, and it's easy to get on and off the interstate.

They have a nice selection of Xmas items. The only thing I struggle with there sometimes, is finding what I'm looking. It likely is I visit a closer competitor more frequently, so I'm just as not familiar with the layout of Menards. There also seem to be fewer employees in the aisles that you can ask for help. But when I find them, they have been excellent. Good products good price.
