I recently moved to this area and my insurance app recommended this Dental Office . For anyone living at apartaments Memorial Towers , Bayou on the Bend, Virage at Memorial or The Left Bank this office is walking distance ! Dr Zarrabi is a very thorough dentist, has THE kindest bedside manner and is very patient . I suffer from "dentist visit anxiety" after a very traumatizing experience when younger and I received nothing but the best care at Mint Dental Works in January 2021 as a new patient . Dental work completed with lots of encouragement and comfort , Monica and Hailey were excellent in their cares as assistant and hygienist . The office is impeccably clean , all safety measures taken during this Covid pandemic that also made me feel comfortable coming to my appointments . There are several apartments around this office building to where it is walkable and easy access and of course the whole neighborhood Heights/Washington . Lots of parking space available. Minus for the x-rays - that machine is so uncomfortable in your mouth that I had discomfort on top of my mouth for days after - please consider getting another X-ray machine- it also blurred the pictures if you move so the torture lasts even longer... Despite my tsbde complaint in October 2023 and making it clear publicly I wouldn't return in November 2023, Amir went out of his way to harass me via certified mail in January 2024. This is a direct violation of ADA guidelines for dentists that have open complaints against them. His negligent aftercare and despicable behavior warrant public awareness. I've struggled to find a practice I liked since moving to Houston, and I found Mint Dental Works by complete chance. Very responsive to appt requests via website; kind and professional front-office staff. The practice is on the 2nd floor of a highish-rise corporate tower in the Rice Military area on Memorial and Detering (between Westcott and Shepherd). Easy to get to; plenty of parking. Beautiful office: spacious, open--but still private--with complementary water and coffee in the waiting area. Expect your first appointment to be long--approx. 1.5h--but that's because they not only take your x-rays but also individual images of each tooth after which Dr. Zarrabi and the RDH go over with you in detail. Your actual cleaning is scheduled separately, which is a quick 30m. I was blown away by the level of care, professionalism, thoroughness, patient education, dental tech, and overall experience. Best dentist in Houston. Dr. Zarrabi is great at what he does. He takes his time to make sure your dental work is done properly and you understand everything about your teeth. I've had 5 cavities filled so far - all went smoothly. The staff are professional, friendly, and responsive. There are cold beverages in the waiting room. I like that they send reminders about your appointments in case you forget. The office is clean and well-lit. They're quick to return phone calls and emails, which I appreciate. It took me one appointment with him and his staff to realize my previous "high-end" dentist in River Oaks was no longer going to work for me. Dr Zarrabi's bedside manner is terrific. He is friendly, calm, patient, thorough and very professional. He is meticulous during a procedure. Aside from making sure that I am comfortable, he will patiently walk through each step to ensure that he meets his own very high standards. I had just spent a great deal of $$$$ with them and was extremely patient over a mess that occurred with a crown. The waiting room and lounge is open with plush seating but one never actually sits long before being whisked away to the back where your chair is awaiting you to be seen by Dr. Z himself or one of the amazing hygienist on his team. Don't forget to enjoy a beverage or snack at the mini bar that they have set up in the waiting room and lounge area as well. They have so many choices of beverages like Perrier, flavored waters, etc. So cute and a nice added touch to have while waiting or to take after your appointment. I have NEVER seen a dentist provide this before and it's so nice!! A real eye for added perks and customer service for all patients walking in through the doors at Mint Dental Works! One thing you will notice is how sleek, clean, and high tech everything is overall. The screens that they use for patient interface and communication, the dental tools and x-ray machines are state of the art, the chairs that you sit in for any procedure that may be taking place are comfortable, etc. I literally can go on and on about the aesthetics and level of detail that went into the layout and design of the space. Nothing stuffy or claustrophobic about this place at all. I LOVE it! But more importantly in this review is Dr. Z and his staff and the level of care he and his team provides. You are truly in the best hands. Dr. Z's chair side manner is professional, his personality is comforting and calming...especially when dental procedures tend to be high anxiety on most people's scale of things. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can really tell that Dr. Zarrabi takes a lot of pride in his craft. This review is LONG overdue. Dr. Zarrabi and his team are a dream to work with! Moving to the Houston, TX area was an adjustment and I was stressed about having to re-established healthcare providers. I took a chance based on the excellent reviews of his practice, and I'm so glad I did. They make you feel comfortable, and speak with you about your oral health practically after taking time to understand your goals. I get married next May and will be doing a trial on the at-home whitening kits he offers. The kit includes a custom mold tray for bottom and top teeth and four syringes (need to be kept refrigerated). So far so good. The only suggestion I might make (which they may have adjusted by now since this is so overdue) is that they provide a summary of instructions in the kit. The whitening in the syringes lasts a year and half, so it could be easy to forget what the instructions are if you let time get the best of you. I'll update this review after completion of the trial to let everyone know how it goes. read more

This place is everything... and once again, Yelpers, you didn't let me down! As I was moving to Houston, I hit Yelp first to look for recommendations on a new dentist. You steered me here, and I want to thank you. I just had my second visit, and this place is amazing! I'll start with Dr. Zarrabi himself. I am a middle-aged guy who has had more dental work than Britain. So I know dentistry as a patient. I have to tell you, honestly, that Dr. Zarrabi is perhaps the best yet... and I've had some world-class dentists! He took the time to go over a complete treatment plan with me, he spent time with me for questions, and he explains everything. He made recommendations for daily habits, and was incredibly friendly. His team did intraoral photos of each tooth as well so he could show me the areas that he thought needed attention... and he saw things on the X-rays that I could barely make out. Eagle-eyed. During a routine filling, I couldn't even feel the injection for the anesthetic! That's how good he is... I've never had that before! And I didn't feel a single thing from the filling itself -- not even pressure. Maybe he's magic. I don't know. I just know that he's damned good. And then the staff is amazing too. Aside form being incredibly friendly, they go above and beyond to make sure that you are informed. They err on the side of caution -- you'll sign waiver for regular anesthetic -- but the experience is great. No one likes going to the dentist, but with this office, it's as pleasant as can be. I went to Mint Dental Works looking for a more personal experience with my Dentist. Where I came from previously, the Dentists were constantly changing and there was very little time spent with the Dentist and more with the Hygienists. My experience at Mint Dental Works was the complete opposite. Dr. Zabarri spent a great deal of time going over every detail of my teeth and gums. The technology they have to photograph and x-ray your teeth is phenomenal. Ive never had that view of my teeth before, it was revealing and a bit unnerving...but I'm glad to know what the issues are and I trust Dr. Zabarri to help fix them. My cleaning was done by a very qualified hygienist. Dr. Zabarri complete several fillings for me. As he assured, I felt no discomfort after I was numbed. He was also very detailed in his work. The dental assistants were always informative and explained each step of the procedure. Dr. Zarrabi is very gentle, meticulous and makes sure you are comfortable. I had to take a few breaks since my jaw hurt a little, and he did not seem to be bothered at all. He made sure I experienced as little pain as possible and took his time. First of all, I HATED the dentist. With that being said, Dr. Zarrabi and his staff have changed that. Now, I hate every dentist except Mint :) When you walk in their office, you are greeted right away with a smile, and treated like you are more than just a number. I was offered a beverage immediately. They have a drink cooler, and hot tea/coffee maker at a bar right there for you to sip on while you wait, which isn't long at all. The floors are bamboo, and the office doesn't have all the dental advertisements or rotten teeth all over the place. It's very modern and Zen like. Very cool. The dental assistant was great, & very careful knowing I have dental sensitivities. The Doctor took plenty of time with me explaining exactly what was going on in my mouth. They took ex rays and pictures of my teeth so I could see for myself exactly what they saw on a monitor. I also was a little chilly, so I was given a big comfy blanket as I laid back and had my cleaning. It felt more like I was at a spa. They gave me sunglasses to keep my eyes from being exposed to the light. I was so comfortable, I was actually enjoying the nap I was taking while my teeth were being cleaned. I've had plenty of dental experiences in my day, so trust me, if I say it's good, you can believe it. You can also schedule online! That's a huge perk! I would say the overall visit was a success considering my fiancée hadn't been to the dentist on 12 years, and we are just getting ready to go back for our 2nd cleaning for the year. I also had to have 2 cavities filled which I was nervous about doing at a new dentists office because I metabolize Novocain quickly and I didn't want to feel pain.
