My visit to Adore was my first introduction to holistic dentistry--and I genuinely wish it hadn't been. What could have been an informative and empowering experience quickly turned into a frustrating lesson in how profit can be disguised as patient care. The dentist hinted at some "serious concerns" during my exam, but rather than addressing them with transparency, she dangled the information like bait--only to reveal that I'd need to schedule another type of appointment (with an entirely different fee structure) if I wanted to hear the full story. That kind of manipulative upselling left me feeling more like a sales prospect than a patient. The final insult was being charged an additional $25 to access digital scans I had already paid $355 for. I'm not sure how withholding a patient's own medical records unless they pay an extra fee fits into the "holistic" ethos, but it certainly didn't feel ethical. Thankfully, I visited another holistic dentist soon after and had a completely different (and far more respectful) experience. Had I not done so, this visit to Adore would have left a bad taste in my mouth of holistic care--no pun intended. I'd advise others to do their homework and choose a provider whose priority is truly your health--not just your wallet. read more

This is by far the very best dental care I have ever received in my life . If you truly care about having excellent dental care that connects to your whole body health, then look no further than this practice . My whole family are patients here and I do not want to see any other dental office after the care and treatment we have received here. All of the staff is incredibly kind and caring. The cleanings are very gentle. And the Dentist are top notch. I have never had any other dentist educate me more on dental health and how it connects to the rest of the body. You feel more like a family member here than a patient. On top of the incredible the dental care that we have received here, Dr Ann Shui was able to diagnose a health issue that I was struggling with after multiple other doctors, neurologist, radiologist missed it. If she was not my dentist I most likely would have gone years and years before getting properly diagnosed. For that alone I am forever grateful to her. Update 1/29: I appealed this with my insurance company. Today I received a letter granting me the appeal, which stated: "As part of our investigation, we determined benefits were not approved for the core build up submitted by Adore Dentistry on December 2021. Because of our interest in customer satisfaction, we made the decision to allow benefits for this service." Proof they tried to claim more money than they were owed. How disgusting and disingenuous. Steer clear! No wonder they need a side hustle within their practice. And here they are pushing a holistic approach while causing unwanted stress to trusting clients. Diagram of a scam. read more

I wish I could say I had a good experience at Adore like so many others seem to have, but my experience with my dentist specifically was very uncomfortable. The staff at this clinic are very kind, my hygienist was lovely and did an excellent job with the cleaning. No issues there. However I felt extremely uncomfortable as a new patient when the dentist, while reviewing my x-rays and looking at my teeth, she began telling me outrageous claims regarding the effects of 5G radiation including that cancer is up 30% in the last year, and how in 20 years men will be unable to reproduce? I was truly shocked by her comments, I couldn't believe that my doctor was saying this to me, a new patient she'd just met, while she was giving me an exam. Later, she began discussing food choices and how they affect dental health (understandable, as she is a dentist of course) and advised me to "eat clean". I told her that I was not interested in dieting or cutting out whole food groups. She brought this up multiple times while suggesting that I cut out all sugar and carbs, which made me reminder her again that I said I am not interested in discussing dieting. It made me really uncomfortable that she pushed dieting multiple times despite me asking her not to recommend dieting as a part of my dental care. All in all, this experience was enough to make me not want to return. Like I mentioned at the beginning, my dental cleaning itself from the hygienist was good, and the staff at the clinic are very nice individuals, but I will not be returning. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Adore Dentistry. The reasons why: because they're amazing, the dental staff is thorough and patient. I had been wanting to try Invisalign for a few months now. I have crowding on my bottom teeth and of course like everyone, I want that perfect smile! AMAZING local dental practice in the Heights. I recently moved from NYC back to Htown. I already had a wonderful dentist here that took care of me as a kid, but was tempted by Adore's proximity & the endless glowing reviews other patients have posted. Both dentists (Doc Pham & Doc Blair), their technicians and office staff are all beyond FABULOUS!!! They make for a stellar experience every time I go in. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, very attentive to the patient's needs--always talking me through the steps and ensuring it's painless. From checking on me periodically to making sure I was pain free and comfortable. They even take the time to ask if you want music to listen to, tv to watch and even offer a lavender pillow for you to lay on ( get the lavender pillow every time, it's amazing ) Going to the dentist is most of the time not a very enjoyable experience. I am always hesitant to try a new dental place for many reasons and therefore spent a ton of time researching dentists in the area. I made the switch recently and I'm very satisfied with my initial visit. I felt cared for, listened to, the cleaning was terrific and the staff very kind. But what's most important to me is the dentist's knowledge. Dr. Shue showed me through her explanations that she not only grasps the essential of dentistry but that her expertise will guide me to healthy teeth. Not only is this office luxuriously furnished and beautifully designed but the staff is above and beyond in being attentive and kind. They go beyond the standards to make sure you are comfortable while you're there; and have amenities like ceiling tv's with Netflix to play whatever will put you at ease, refreshments, warm neck wraps and more. They never made me feel judged for the state of my teeth coming in and they're all about helping you learn how to take better care of your teeth without making you feel bad. My dental experience was really wonderful. I had a few teeth on the watch list for years, and it was time. Dr Pham did the fillings. They were small so we opted to try it without novocain. No shots, no pain, my teeth are very smooth and I almost can't even tell which ones she worked on. It was also very peaceful, relatively speaking, which helped me relax and just go with the flow.
