Unfortunately, AFTER receiving the service and on the way out we were billed $212 instead of 100% coverage for in network preventative services. When I called and asked about the same day, I was told "we aren't in anyone's network." So, now there is a $75 deductible for each of my two children and only 60% coverage instead of no deductible and 100% coverage on a $500+ bill. All of it would've been prevented if they told the truth up front. Bottom line is they are friendly, but they have no problem deceiving you and getting to your wallet. Don't walk away, run!

Joanne was incredibly patient and took the time to ask thoughtful questions to understand my level of anxiety, which immediately helped me feel more comfortable. Dr. Ling explained each step of the procedure before moving forward, making sure I knew what to expect. His calm, unhurried approach made a tremendous difference, and I left the office completely pain-free. What impressed me even more was that a few hours after I got home, Dr. Ling personally called to check on how I was doing. That level of follow-up, compassion, and commitment to patient care is something you don't often experience and speaks volumes about the practice. I also want to recognize Cheri Villarreal. Cheri was my hygienist when I first moved to Houston, and I've followed her through the different dental practices where she's worked because she is simply outstanding. She knows me well, brings just the right amount of humor to help me relax, and isn't afraid to give me a little tough love when I'm not taking care of my dental health. Her genuine care and encouragement have made a lasting impact. I walked out. Dishonest crooks, money hungry. The procedures are painful. I am 82, soon to be 83. So I haven't been to a dentist in a little over a year but this time I was determined to find a…read moreplace where they care about the patients. I am sooooo glad I chose to make my appointment here. Got to fill out my information online so I went at my scheduled time and didn't have a wait time. First impression: very clean, advanced equipment, nice rooms with entertainment, and the friendliest staff ever at a dentist. After signing in I was in the waiting room for about two minutes. Someone had just been called to the back so I thought I was going to be there perhaps 15 minutes, but instead the dentist that was going to treat me came out and took me to the back himself. Dr. Sahegin was awesome- he asked me if I had any concerns, answered my questions, and we decided to just do a general examination and figure out my workup. Michele came in, introduced herself, and took me to do my x-rays: some positions were slightly painful but nothing I couldn't handle and Michele was quick to minimize the discomfort :) Dr. Sahegin did an extremely detailed evaluation at the chair as well. I can't express how much I appreciate this as I've had my fair share of dentists that don't answer questions, look at the general places to do major work, and you're pretty much out the door. Amazing!!! Had to get touch-ups on a couple of things and a filling so I was there a while as the machine was making it. Michele even took me to look at it and at the precision of the coloring. It was nice to see everything that happened "behind the scenes" (maybe its because I ask a lot of questions though lol). I also had a cleaning and Kelli (hygienist) was absolutely wonderful. I asked her a couple of questions and she gave me good tips too. I felt as though I was being a little pampered to be honest. I know it sounds strange as it's the dentist, right? Whenever water splashed on me they would dry it off or if I re-adjusted I would always get an "are you okay?" I couldn't explain that it wasn't the procedure that bothered me as I had my mouth open but Dr. Sahegin, Michele, and Kelli all equally checked up on me constantly. I will say, it was kind of nice :D Before I left, Dr. Sahegin walked me out and talked to me a bit before I left for follow-up questions and to ask me to fill out a survey that the office was going to send me. They really care about the service they offer their patients which means a lot. I have definitely learned to expect more from dentists and can say that I am extremely comfortable returning here. I don't see why anyone should have a problem at Champions Modern Dentistry- they all go above and beyond to accommodate you. Highly recommended!

They took over a dozen X-rays and imaging because they couldn't get the angles correct and then charged me for all of them. They insisted I needed a deep clean and lied on the examination by saying my gums were worse than they actually were. They said I needed other procedures and My insurance came back and denied these claims as fraud. They gave me proof as to why they were fraudulent. I have never had this happen before. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they warned me not to go back. I canceled my appointment , but they had talked me into ordering a partial. When It came in I went to pick it up, but they refused to give it to me, saying I need to get a medical release before I get it. The receptionist was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. I caught her in several lies before I left out of complete confusion that I was unable to get my property. So in recap, be careful when and if you go here. Watch out for them charging you for things you don't need, keeping you there for hours to force you to make a choice you do not want, bold face lying to you, and then disrespecting you if you stand up for yourself. I will be filing a claim with the BBB as I am not the only one who had this happen to them

I've made them my primary dentists since moving to this side of town and have no issues. They've even seen me on short notice after needing to change my appointment. What's best is they accept my insurance (Delta Dental). Dr. Mai even threw in an orthopedic consult on one of my visits. I also love that they text you reminders of your appointments. I'd recommend coming here if you are in search of a great dentist with a personal touch.

I have never been in a more painful dental chair in my life - and that includes the emergency room at Parkland hospital. I have not had any issue or problem with the chair at ANY other dentist. As soon as the hygienist finished the x-rays and reclined the chair I was in serious pain,both back and neck. I just have an average, 52 year old bad back, too - no serious spinal condition or neck injury. I can't imagine what being in those chairs for more than a minute or two would feel like for someonewho does. I was told that all the chairs there are the same. The hygienist was nice, friendly, and the desk was as well. I never met the dentist during my new patient visit, although I was told several times she was "on her way back to meet me". Even after I explained to the hygienist what the issue with the chair was, and was told there is no solution, she then told the dentist, and the dentist never made it back to my exam room. Again, a complete waste of time, and a huge, frustrating disappointment. Especially for a first visit to a new practice I was really excited about. The irony here is that I found this practice for my wife and I, and after some research, I booked both our appointments. This was MY idea. Hers was before mine, and she couldn't stop RAVING about how great the dentist is, his care and concern, his chair-side manner was awesome, how wonderful and helpful his assistant was,how great this office is, and we were both excited about my visit the following week. I was scheduled with the other dentist, and had the opposite experience. I can't help but wish I had been scheduled with my wife's dentist, I might have had a similar experience. Instead, I was treated like an afterthought, and ignored by the dentist who couldn't see her way to come to my exam and meet me, and address my concern with the chair. So now, my wife and I, who would have been regular patients at this practice (with a lot of work to be done), are going to find another practice. Because I was scheduled with the other dentist, not the one she had. We left our previous dentist for similar experiences; feeling ignored, like out concerns weren't being heard or addressed. It matters not how small or large the work that is required. The staff..when I walk in, when I am working with the talented professionals who assist Dr. Miller, when I receive the explanation of costs, the procedure, and executing the payment process, I feel at home. In a Dental office, that is hard to achieve, but at SCD, it is the norm. Kindness, support, courtesy, professional work, and being treated with respect is lacking in most corners of our culture.
