The insurance specialist informed me it would cost over $300, out of pocket. To be clear, I go to the dentist every 6 months and have my entire life. I brush twice a day and floss daily. The dentist today had no concerns about my teeth after reviewing my X-rays. No dentist (or dental hygienist) has ever recommended a deep clean before. And I was told this is "not a new problem." I declined the medium deep cleaning, the hygienist refused to do a regular cleaning and I left. The whole experience felt very scammy. And I still need to get my teeth cleaned.

This unfortunately led to needing the tooth to be removed, but he was able to guide me through the process and connect me with a wonderful oral surgeon. Throughout the process, it was evident that he was closely communicating with the offices of the various sub-specialists, coordinating my care, and probably spending time outside of his normal clinical hours to do so. Dr. Hassid has a very calm, patient bedside manner. He always takes the time to explain things, in clear, simple and easy-to-understand terms, and makes sure all my questions are answered. I can tell he really cares about his patients. His office staff are also all excellent - extremely courteous, accommodating, and professional. As an example, I had an appointment with him this morning. I received a phone call that one of the staff had called in sick, and my appointment would need to be rescheduled. However, very quickly, Dr. Hassid went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate me into his schedule today, so that I could still be seen.
